Well, Mass Effect universe is my favorite, I'm true fan only of this series. And ending didn't ruin it for me. I just think that one playtrough is enough for me, at least for now.

And if you asked me if I designed my Human Female armor after Ashley's...I would say yes. Guilty as charged.

I have started to look forward to other things, though. Wasteland 2 and CD Projekt's sci-fi RPG have me very interested. They might finally push me off Mass Effect.
Neither will be out for some time, though. CD Projekt's game was just announced, and Wasteland 2 won't be out until 2014, at the earliest. Unless I can find a way to "get into" Fallout 3 (which I've never been able to do - I've never finished it once) I'll have to make do with playing ME over and over again.

Wait CD Projekt is making a sci-fi RPG? I must admit Witcher 2's fantasy setting did throw me off, but now am interested.
Yeah with ME3 I didn'g get a solemn goodbye from the franchise. Instead I got the "hah, we strung you along for so long, to ultimately create a bewildering, wtf ending"
Ultiamtely I will keep my ME3 copy, if only to remind myself not to preorder. And its on PC so I mod the crap out of it.

Try Fallout: New Vegas instead. I had both it and Fallout 3. New Vegas was the better game, IMO. Really fun, in fact I wish I hadn't traded it in. I miss it.

Also, Solitaire eats up all my time when I'm trying to work. Good thing Shep's got Ashley to keep him on track. Nice dialogue DWH.

It won't have Ash in it, though. Which is the problem I have with a lot of games now.

I'm done with video games. ME3 was my last.
They're a good way to escape and relax, so I doubt I'll ever give them up entirely.
I have to admit, though, I wasn't playing them as much as I used to before I played ME1 for the first time back in April 2010. And I just thought that would be a temporary distraction - that maybe I'd play it 2-3 times, then buy ME2 and maybe play that 2-3 times.
Instead, I've played both ME1 and ME2 more times than I can possibly count. Pretty much to the exclusion of all other games.

Yeah, that thread is like, 27 pages now. *SMH* I've resisted the urge to post thus far. I got caught up in the "Is Ashley Still Your Girl" thread before ME3's release. Those haters can go ahead and hate. Ash fans have sanctuary here.

I don't see the point. I wouldn't convince anyone. All that it'd do is angry up the blood.
Most of them hate Ashley because they want to hate Ashley, and they're not going to be convinced otherwise.

Yeah, I kind of stayed clear of that one, because I was happy about Ash's role in ME3 at the time. But Bioware cut most of that stuff I read.
Ever notice how most of them that just pop in to say "she's racist and I wanted to shoot her" have either a Tali avatar/banner or a quarian one - how ironic.

Yeah, I know, that comes with a double meaning, but I'm highly annoyed.
Losing friendly faces here is one thing, but also the movement for better endings dying down is also a bad sign. Guess BW was hoping for that development. Players move on after a while. Means: less profits for EA, but also no better endings for us ...
Wonder how long I stay with the community.
Also wonder when I have to do that decision IRL. *sigh*

At this point, I like to think that Ash would feel almost the same way. She struggled to get respect for a long time, but after ME3 I'd like to think she's done so much that I doubt she feels as much of a need to care what other people think.
Shepard would still get mad if he hears someone bad mouthing her, but I actually think she'd be inclined to just tell him to ignore it.

Anyway, I immediately fell in love with Ashley back in ME1 and have been a dedicated fanboy since then. I could list the many characteristics that attracted me too her, but I can honestly say that she is my dream women and has almost everything I want in a lover. I like strong independent women in general, who can take care of themselves. Ash fits the bill entirely. Also, she is my Shepard's soulmate, a full package...friend, comrade and lover. They just fit and I can't see him with anybody else, though they've had their problems. Their romance makes a good story throughout the entire trilogy (like most LI's anyway). It is also a rather tragic one, especially as Shepard had to sacrifice his best friend to be with his women.
I was disappointed that we only got a cameo and a letter in ME2, (the main reason why ME2 is not my favorite game) and was excited to have a epic romance for the faithful (though my Shepard was tempted by both Tali and Miranda). When it came to ME3, I was both satisfied and extremely disappointed. I'm not going to beat a dead horse by listing all the problems with her character and romance in ME3 at the moment. (Where was that epic reunion?) But now, I just want more Ashley cause I love her.
Anyway, thanks for keeping up the good work. The dialogues are very great.

Underneath, I'd post: "GO HEAD, HATER!"
The "Is Ashley Still Your Girl" thread was the worst. They were swaping detailed opinions on how Ashley would nail Shepard to the cross at the trial held by the defense committee on Earth when called to testify. They believed she hated Shepard enough to character assassinate him, and seal his stay in federal prison, without hesitation.

But the last part of that is the icing on the cake:
"Finally, after years of angst and separation and loss and pain, Shepard gives her this long speech over how ****ing awesome of a person she is. Ashley doesn’t need Shepard to tell her what she already knows. She doesn’t exactly need his approval. They’re about to go into the ultimate suicide mission. SHE TELLS SHEPARD TO SHUT THE F*CK UP AND
