Nope. But their gonna degrade it into a mainstream shooter and choke Bioware for every cent it's worth then kick out the shrived carcass.
I thought these games were 'entertainment' and 'choice' not mindless destruction.... granted Shepard tends to be a walking disaster area, but that's not the point!
As much as I'd like to jump on the bash Bioware bandwagon, lets not forget the EC. Given the amount of time they seem to be spending on it, odds are that we're gonna get a whole lot more than a few cutscenes. Perhaps cut dialogue will be reintroduced, perhaps IT will be proven true, perhaps Ashley-mancers (myself included) will get the option of a bittersweet ending.
In my headcanon, bittersweet ending is:
- Shepard survives, but suffers the loss of his implants. Possibly loses a limb or several. Faces a long a road of recovery, but he's got Ashley beside him every step of the way.
- The balance of power in the galaxy has been shifted. The Asari and Turians are no longer dominant and humanity will need generations to recover. The Batarians are all but extinct. The only reletaviely intact survivors are the Krogan and Salarians (last I checked the salarian homeworld hadn't been attacked by Reapers). Dark times are ahead, but its up to you whether hope still remains.
And don't forget this is the studio that gave us Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. ME 3 had its moments of genius too (Tuchanka, Citadel, Rannoch). True some parts felt lacking, but the improvements made were better (new weapons, firing range, etc..)
That being said if the EC turns out to be a crock of sh*t, my faith in Bioware will be crushed.
