But, yeah, if I could swap out Ash's skills, I'd probably give her frag grenades. They are better in general.

I generally don't put too many points in grenade as I never use them.

I agree about the Incendiary Ammo. I've loved that since ME, although starting back with ME2 when there was more of an animation as enemies got set on fire by it, it tends to cause the Offspring's "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" (specifically starting with the line "dance ****er dance") to play in my head lol.

EDIT: Just realized this was a top of the page post

According to a test, I have midlife-crisis.
I'm 30.
FML.

Wonder if Shepard ever has to go through MLC with Ashley - I wouldn't ...

sorry to hear that Cpt.

And I'm sure they've been through that crisis already :P

I don't know if people like them, military folk, really go through MLC. I mean they have had so much crap to put up with and have gone through so much that they are probably just happy to be alive. Especially in the case of Ash and Shepard they are probably just happy to be together.

But don't worry Data, you're still young!

Mid life crisis? I think Ash would be quick to force him out of it.

I do hope he wouldn't be stupid enough to cheat on her with some secretary or something, especially after staying loyal (at least mine did) through all of ME2. It would probably mean the end of their relationship. I think ME2 is more of an exception, because the status of their relationship after Horizon was unclear. I don't see Ash as someone who would tolerate cheating, or even forgive cheating, under normal circumstances. She deserves better than that, and she knows it.

In any event, I don't think Edwin Shepard, at least, would ever have a mid-life crisis. He's going to be too busy, and too grateful to be alive and with Ash.

Blaming it on a "mid life crisis," huh? I don't think so.

Oh you don't cheat on Ash, as you said ME2 changes things but if Ashley had been there in ME2 and you cheated or Shepard cheated after ME3 with anyone Ash'd do exactly as she is in DWH's picture...or rip his balls off. Hell hath no fury like a Williams scorned!

Yeah, Shepard would be lucky to come out of that with his "tender bits" (as Ken would say) intact.

I don't think their relationship would ever recover from it, either. Like I said, Ash knows she deserves better than that. Plus, it's so hard for her to trust someone as it is... Finding out that he cheated on her while they were in a stable relationship would be devestating to her. I doubt she could ever really trust him again.

It would be a sad and stupid way for such a wonderful relationship to end, especially after all they've been through. So hopefully no Shepard who is with Ash now will ever be dumb enough to cheat.

Oh he won't cheat, what you say is very true and I don't think Ashley would ever be able to really get over it or trust another man, in particular, again. But after all they've gone through, and Shepard staying loyal during ME2 when he has a smorgasbord of potentially people he could copulate with, I don't think he'd ever try anything with someone else.

I mean how could he????:

Would Ash ever cheat on Shepard, though... And how would he respond? Posted Image

I really can't see her doing something like that, to be honest.

If she did, Edwin Shepard would be devestated. I think he'd need some time, but, in the end, I think he'd probably try to forgive her. I don't think their relationship would ever be the same, but I think he'd try to stick with it and rebuild things.

Edwin Shepard has always been a paragon, sometimes to the point of stupidity, and it just seems like that would be the "paragon" thing to do. Other, more renegade Shepards probably wouldn't respond as well, though, given the lack of emotional maturity many of them seem to have.  I could see some going out and cheating on her to get back. Or going out and finding the guy she cheated on him with and... "dealing" with him. Posted Image

EDIT: Now that I think about it, you'd have to be terminally stupid to mess around with Shepard's significant other, wouldn't you? Posted Image

Nah, Ashley wouldn't cheat if she was with, Shepard (or any one). If she didn't want the relationship she'd say so, call it off and then move on. She wouldn't do that to a person. She wouldn't betray someone like that.

Cheating is wrong. I consider it cheating if Shepard bangs someone in ME2 then runs back to Ashley in 3. That's what it is. She should've hit him over the head with something heavy or at the very least tell him to GTFO if he comes crawling back wanting a relationship after that. Guess she's like most women in that case… Listening to her heart instead of her head! SMH.

 Pffffffffft women. Posted Image

Well my renegade Shepard was a renegade up untill he spoke with Ashley, I remember ME2 my Shepard was doing all the renegade stuff then suddenly he meets Ash and turns soft and ends up begging for her forgiveness and is gutted when she shoots him down, that was also the run through I was faithful to Ash. So personally speaking my renegade Shepard is a real hard ass to everyone but can't help but go soft when Ashley is around. But Ash wouldn't stand for renegade Shepards crap anyway or at least she could match him back lol

The amount of times Shepard tells Ashley he needs her I couldn't see him cutting all ties with Ashley even if she did somehow cheat on him, which btw I could NEVER see happening cause Ashley understands the importance of family and loyalty and love. But if it did happen I could still see Shepard wanting her

But you wouldn't want to try and get it on with either of them cause if some woman tried anything with Shepard then Ashley is gonna kick her ass, and if some guy tries anything with Ashley, Ashley is gonna kick their ass then tell Shepard what happened then they'd get a visit from Shepard too

Yeah, I can't really see Ash doing something like that either. I think by the time they get back together in ME3, Shepard is as important to her as family. In my head canon, they even go on to get married and raise kids together. She'd NEVER do something like that to family.

And you're right, Shepard does tell her quite a few times that he needs her. I know Edwin Shepard is serious about that, and Ash realizes it. So she knows how hurt he'd be, and I don't think she'd ever want to do that to him.

I've admitted several times I did a playthrough solely just so I could cheat on Ash and see what she had to say in ME3, but that was brutal. If she wasn't on bed rest I think Shepard would have been tossed through the glass window of the hospital room during that conversation.

Instead of Steve, it's Scumbag Shepard.

That's all Shepard seems to do... He says "I need you" like three or four times lol. The man likes to get his point across.

Imagine 5 years later:

Shepard: I need you.
Ashley: Stop saying that! I admit, it was romantic the first 50 times, but now...
Shepard: I can't do this without you.
Ashley: Ugh.

Shepard: I need you.
Ash: Yeah, so you've said...
Shepard: I can't do this without you!
Ash: Shepard, you're just mopping the kitchen floor. Bucket. Mop. Warm water. Soap. It's not leading the final charge!
Shepard: But I need you!
Ash: *sighs*

Ashley: Yeah? What is it?
Shepard: Can't reach the remote, can't change the channel.
Ashley: Do it yourself you lazy bum.
Shepard: But I can't do it without you. I need you. :(
Ashley: *sigh*

Ugh that's such a ****. When you want to change the channel but then you see the remote over sitting on the other couch or on the table you can't reach. Such an inconvience.

By the sigh, does that mean Ash gave in and got it for him?

^Posted Image Well done lads.

DWH, marriage and kids definately in my head canon too. It just seems right that someone who loves family as much as Ashley is gonna want her own.

Ash: *changes the channel*
Shepard: Huh? What's this?
Ash: *throws the remote back on the table* It's Din Korlack's community access show. I've seen it before. It's just him ranting about the Council. For three hours straight.
Shepard:....Okay... Why did you change it to this?
Ash: If you're so lazy that you can't get up and walk across the room, feel free to watch this the rest of the afternoon. Posted Image

Fair enough DWH, Shepards gonna have to make that difficult choice then, upset his comfort or watch whats on the current channel, tough one
