Not to discredit anyone else here, because they're all great, but your dialogues are always the most fun to read. =)

Thanks! I do feel like I'm getting rusty though. Haven't written many dialogues in a while. Too busy trying to figure out Ash's Service History, which is a nightmare in the ME Universe by the way. You know any other posters with a military background who could help us resolve her background?

I'm afraid not. :?

At this point, I think it'd be better just to make something up. Bioware didn't seem to put a whole lot of thought into anybody's rank.

She's not real, Data. Get over it already, man. And stop comparing every other woman on the planet to Ashley as well lol

Nah... Shepard won't warm me for eyeing up his woman... I was just innocently quoting one of my favourite ME quotes: "We'll bang, okay?" No harm done.

In the unlikely event that Bioware ever explains the meaning of the S1 designation, I humbly present my "Codex Entry" for the S designation. Now imagine Neil Ross reading it (the voice actor for the codex entries)

Orbital Deployment, Reconnaissance and Assault (S Designation)

Established 2176 the Orbital deployment, Reconnaissance and Assault Academy (ORA) has become the System Alliance’s primary school for orbital deployment and infiltration. Representing an amalgamation of earth’s paratrooper forces, combined with 22nd century technology and tactics, the ORI academy became a leader in planetary assault and tactics.

Initially established in Ural Mountains, the academy later expanded to include the Titan moon of Jupiter and a dozen classified sites in Alliance space. In contrast to the “N-School” the primary focus of the PCT academy is combat operations. Emphasis is placed on hard hitting tactics and candidates are trained to use everything in their environment.

Inductees are trained in orbital deployment tactics (utilizing the System Alliance Shockpod), covert insertion and reconnaissance. Trainees are also trained to resist enemy interrogation and survive in hostile territory. Finally culminating in what has been termed “Hell-Week” trainees are sent into the harsh, unforgiving Ural Mountains. During this week they are to achieve objectives, relying only on themselves and each other to accomplish the task.

Graduates whom survive the harsh and punishing training are awared the coveted jump wings.

In contrast to the more “considered” operations of N-service commandoes, S-service troopers (nicknamed Shocktrooper) are considered to be the lance of any System Alliance deployment. Seeing action in at least a dozen hotspots in places such as Torfan, the Shocktroopers have carved themselves a name in history books.

Well, all I have to do is to meet a woman that -looks- like her and has her character.
And yeah, she's not real. Wish she were, but she's not. Well, maybe that's better that way since we can imagine awesome stories with her that way =)

Very nice summation, Survivor. Great effort. You should post that Ash's Service History discussion thread. I will conference with Rudy Lis, our resident Russian military expert, and if there are no objections from group members, we can quickly establish this as cannon!

Heck, yeah. I wrote most of it a while ago, put finishing touches on it about a week ago. Re-read it, posted it again and got no comments. Figured I was rusty and need to get back in the groove. Did you like it? Did I get Garrus right? Not too sure about his beliefs.

Everything seemed fine to me. Not sure we know much about Garrus' personal beliefs, but I think he does reference the "spirits" in some autodialouge on the Normandy.

Youth4Ever, was that already posted on your profile page cause I thought I'd read some Ash and Garrus dialogue like that a while ago? Maybe it was a different one. But I thought it then and think it now, very good, you have alot of good stuff on your page.

Ashley: Hey Skipper ...
Shepard: Still here at the observatory deck? I was waiting for you ...
Ashley: Sorry. Just forgot the time while catching up stuff. Seems someone nearly got killed when dealing with a Reaper - on foot.
Shepard: Tuchanka?
Ashley: Tuchanka. John, I can't believe you did that stunt. If I had been there, I would have slapped you twice. One for that stupid idea and another time for surviving it.
Shepard: Guess I should count me lucky you weren't with me then, Ashley *smirks*
Ashley: Does it never end ... ? I worry those missions will kill you one day. I can't lose you again, neither as my CO, not my friend ... or my love.
Shepard: Ash ... I'm going to come back, always.
Ashley: Don't do a promise you can't keep. This war will take more than either of us can imagine. John - I ... I use the few days we have left to think about everything. You asked me why I spent so many hours watching the stars here. To ask God. I want to find an answer, why we're in this situation now.
Shepard: Did he help you?
Ashley: No. The more I think about it, the more I fear there's no God. And my dad isn't whatching me ...
Shepard: Don't give up now. You've been so strong, for both of us. And there's something out there I can't explain. Something that guides us, shows us our path. Some essence keeps us fighting and ... maybe we'll win this war. And if not, then I want to be with you, in the last moments of our life.
Ashley: *sad smile* ... wish you were better in cheering up, Skipper ...
Shepard: For that, I have something. Mind to drop the regs and have a drink with your CO, Ashley?
Ashley: Violating the rules for you? I don't know *smiles*
Shepard: It's not that we didn't it before ...
Ashley: Ilos.
Shepard: Ilos. This one is to you, Ash.
Ashley: It's better to us both ... and our future.
Shepard: That's what I wanted to hear. Let's make it happen. It's not going to be our last hour ...

I plan on joining the Navy once I reach my target weight, but that won't help now.

Well...finally got around to playing ME1. Just gave Ashley a shotgun and maxed skills...she is absolutely deadly.

I tried playing it the other day. But I got annoyed knowing how long it would take me to complete it, so I gave up. Posted Image

Speaking of which, you know before you fly to Ilos? Where you can talk to each crew member on the ship for a final time (they usually say something short). Does anybody know what Ashley actually says to Shepard if you don't romance her? I've always wondered this. Heard she says something like: "Thanks for believing in me."

I can safely say that almost everyone on this forum has had their Shepard romance Ashley. Trust me my Shepard tried romancing Liara....

Yeah, asking me to go through a ME1 playthrough without romancing Ash is a bit much. Posted Image

Romancing Liara in ME1 just feels WRONG to me. Especially when Ash and my Shep match up so freakin' well. I wanted to romance Liara in ME2 and ME3 for obvious reasons, but then I decided that that's what Walters wanted me to do, so I'm not gonna. Bitter much? lol

I probably need to ask a Liara fan this question...

Uploaded on old Profile YCF and then I changed some of it recently. I just can't leave stuff alone. Didn't repost on new one yet on this account. I'm still supposed to be moving blogs over, but... that's alot of work. Too many blogs to transfer. Formatting doesn't work right and then I have to correct and edit it... and I'm lazy.

I'd be interested in seeing how the ME3 Ash romance is different if you don't romance her in ME1. And, for that matter, how the Liara romance in ME3 is different if you suddenly decide you're interested in her.

A good way to RP the Ash romance would be to say that Shepard was always interested, but couldn't bring himself to do it because of her being directly under his command. By ME3, and with the Reapers threatening all life, he just doesn't give a sh*t anymore, and gives in.

I'll never be able to do it, though, because Ash always seduces me when I play ME1. Posted Image
