Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

Here you are, sir. I like the mini speech he gives Ash before they hug. It's better than Ash doing all of the talking and apologizing all over the place in the already-romanced equivalent.

Still prefer to start the romance in 1, though. Ash and Shepard should always be together.

At least the date scene isn't bugged, like with the carry over romance.

Bugged? As far as I know its working fine for me.

And Shepard sucks her eyes out of her face before the fade to black.
ME3 was sloppy.

Not to discredit anyone else here, because they're all great, but your dialogues are always the most fun to read. =)
Thanks! I do feel like I'm getting rusty though. Haven't written many dialogues in a while. Too busy trying to figure out Ash's Service History, which is a nightmare in the ME Universe by the way. You know any other posters with a military background who could help us resolve her background?
Do you have to lose or gain? It's pretty strict for the Marines but I don't know the Navy requirements. I don't have to worry because I'm pretty much in the middle of the minimum and maximum weight for my height.
And yeah, I've played ME1 twice and the second time through I thought I would give Liara a shot...and well let's just say that didn't go as planned.

EDIT: I wrote an... "unpleasant" dialouge, but I can't post it now because my pizza arrived. Time for dinner and an episode or two of DS9.

The end of the date scene seems to skip over an entire section of dialouge. Didn't you notice how Shepard just seems to jump to saying "remind me"? Ash doesn't say anything to set him up for that. It's like an entire section is cut, either intentionally or due to a bug.

Well, let's hope for a bug and they fix it with the upcoming EC DLC.
Doubt it. But hope dies last, right?

Hmmm...I like that. But I'm fond of Ashley giving Shepard the mini speech if you romance her in ME1 and stayed faithful. Seems to me, that Shepard is always giving the speeches to her, so it's a nice change of pace, for me anyway. It gives me the sense that Ashley's is pushing for it, and wants the relationship back, too.
I'm confused, does it go like this:
If you don't romance her in ME1 you get just a hug?
If you romance her in ME1, then cheat in ME2 you get a weird kiss?
If you remain faithful, you get a weird kiss?
But no matter what... you get Shepard's rape eyes? *shudders*
The faithful date scene was supposed to go something like this:
Shepard: Remind me.
Ashley: How quickly you forget.
But either way, it doesn't make much sense for Shepard just to blurt out, "remind me." What idiot on the writing team wrote that? The end of that date scene is completely careless.

You know what? I think we should get that scene double-checked by a dev, just to be sure. If that's the way it was supposed to go, then that's just plain terrible.
Ashley: Get over here.
Shepard: Remind me.
Me: WTF?
Is everyone aware of that Ashley bug which doesn't allow some coversations on the Normandy to happen unless she's alive, romanced, or is a friend? Maybe, just maybeeee some of Ashley's dialogue also got bugged? Perhaps some of that cut dialogue is still in the game, but it just never plays?

The fish got fed up with the VI. He had enough of the fish support group, tired of all the whiners. So he left.
(Sorry, that was lame but when I first read the description about the VI, that's exactly what I thought. It talks to them? What the hell is that? A support group for fish?
And have you ever considered that Shepard kisses her eye on purpose? Maybe Ash has a weird fetish or something...

The Ash romance though, night and day. She flirts just as much as Shep does. She's got a life and a past and interesting personality quirks. Actually feels like she's slowly falling for Shep, it feels like real romance progression, as well as building a friendship. Can't wait to replay ME1 again, just for her.

Ash: *sighs* Shepard, you can't do that every time you want a kiss. I let that slide years ago, but even then it was just... weird. Remind you of what? How does that make any sense?
Shepard: Hey, my love is an art. Respect my artistic integrity.
Ash: *facepalm*
(No, this isn't the dialouge I mentioned earlier. Still finishing that)

Lose it. I'm about 5'11" and the Navy wants me at 210 lbs. When I started, I was around 275. I've managed to get down to probably around 250 (I won't go near a scale to check as I don't trust them lol), but I appear to have stalled out. I want to ultimately get down to 200, just to have some margin for error. If I could afford to go back to school without enlisting, I would. That's mainly why I'm doing it.BP93 wrote...

Anyone ever think that Ash's mother might actually take issue to her daughter being in a relationship with her commanding officer?
Ash: This is nice. Mom, why don’t you talk with Shepard a bit? I haven’t seen Lynn in ages, and I want to catch up.
*walks away*
Shepard: So…
Mrs. Williams: So. “Commander.” What, exactly, are your intentions with my daughter?
Shepard: Mrs. Williams, I love your daughter a great deal…
Mrs. Williams: Do you always seduce the women under your command?
Shepard: I… I’m sorry? “Seduce?” Ash and I are in a relationship…
Mrs. Williams: A “relationship.” Yes. If you can call it that. You are aware that there are regulations against fraternization, aren’t you?
Shepard: Well. Yes. But we’re both Spectres…
Mrs. Williams: Which means that you’re above the same rules that you expect your crew to follow?
Shepard: The Normandy engages in high risk missions on a regular basis. We’re all professionals, and I feel that loosening military restrictions a bit helps to keep too much tension from—
Mrs. Williams: So you encourage your crew members to sleep around? To take advantage of their subordinates?
Shepard: I… Did I do something wrong, Mrs. Williams?
Mrs. Williams: You mean aside from seducing my daughter, threatening everything she’s worked for, then putting her through sheer hell when you “died” and then turned up in a terror cell?
Shepard: Mrs. Williams, it’s clear you don’t think very much of me. But could you just give me a chance? I love Ash. She’s important to me, and that means her family is important to me, too. She’s already told me about her father. She says he would have liked me…
Mrs. Williams: Young man, Ashley’s father was career military. He believed in following the regs. He spent his life fighting the black mark against the Williams name. He would have hated you for risking his daughter’s career like this.
Shepard: I… I’m sorry you feel that way. But Ash can make her own decisions…
Mrs. Williams: That assumes she’s thinking clearly. When it comes to you, it’s obvious that she’s not. If you love Ashley, do her a favor. Leave her. Stop risking her career. Let her take her own command, instead of feeling the need to stay with you. Can’t you see how you’re hurting her?
Shepard: I don’t think I’m doing that. I’m not doing that. Look, Mrs. Williams, I love your daughter, and even if you don’t care for me, I’d at least like your respect…
Mrs. Williams: You don’t have it. And you never will.
