Also, some people say they just don't like the sound of her voice. Bull****.
But, there are a few who actually have valid reasons to dislike her characters, not just the whole "shes mean to aliens blah blah blah." I understand shes not everyone's cup of tea, but some people's pure hatred for her...I honestly don't get it.

On a side note...ugh. Have to start work in like 5 minutes, and have to leave my computer for over 6 hours!!

Okay, have mine (low details) - the first 5 years:

2186 - End of Reaper War
Lieutenant Commander Williams gets awarded with the "Star of Terra". She requests a long vacation to stay with Commander Shepard who's recovering his grievous wounds he had received in the Battle of Earth.

2187 - Post War
Williams officially resigns as a Spectre and returns to the new Alliance HQ on Earth. She also refuses an offer to be part of the N7 program. Instead she accepts an assignment as instructor for a new special units program (S-units).

2188 - Tensions between Salarians and Krogan-Turian Alliance
Ashley Williams receives her promotion to Staff Commander and gets assigned to the Normandy SR2. Most of the crew are members of the S-units program.
Commander Shepard resigns as officer of the Alliance.

2189 - Seven Months War
The Alliance does not get involved in the war. The Council reinstated Ashley Williams as Spectre. The whereabouts of Spectre Shepard are unknown for nearly the entire period of the war.

2190 - Destruction of Tuchanka / End of the Krogan Rebellion
Ashley Williams helps to evacuate Tuchanka just few days before a full armada of Salarian War ships razes the entire planet. The Turian fleet, still weakened by the events of the Reaper War, is not able to defend the planet. More than 1.5 Billion Krogans get killed.
The Salarians claim to have ended the Krogan Rebellion once and for all.
Dalatress Linron gets killed by an unknown assassin.

2191 - Uneasy peace
Ashley Williams gets assigned to find the assassin who took out Dalatress Linron: it was Shepard. It appears as if the attempt was planned by Major Kirrahe and the STG with support of the Turian Councillor. For the second time, she has to pull a gun against her lover since Udina's coup, again it ended with her trusting Shepard.
Williams gets promoted to a full Captain.

@CptData, yea that sounds like something I could buy into. If I had time and wasn't celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee I would maybe write my own series of events but I just can't find the time atm.

There is definately gonna be alot of uneasy feelings after the Reapers and the Alliance will badly need Shepard and Ashley but I just don't think Shepard will want much of a part of it, Ashley will help where she can but she'd want a less front line role

Danny: I'd love to work at the details but tbh, I lack good ideas for more than what I wrote down. Mostly caused by the lack of knowledge regarding the "new" enhanced endings.

I simply can't headcanon "2186" - but the basic setting IS set up 2186. Without this foundation, I can't move on with that headcanon.

Oh, that was you? Ha nice one, mate. I usually don't reply to haters on youtube. There's a good chance that they're two young and won't even understand. Explains why they just toss the word "racist" or "space ****" around because they prefer Tali, or whatever. Eh, you know how they are.

Yeah. I understand if some people aren't fond of Ashley. She's not for everyone like you said. But she is not a bad character, or a bad person. Mostly it's the same old comments I see, "She's racist" or "I nuked you on Virmire." and sometimes the utmost childish, "I f**king h*te th*t b*tch!"  or something along those lines.

I don't think we could have a single video of Ash on youtube without a few haters coming in and ruining the positive. That's why I like this thread. There's no haters, and everybody's nice - the dialogues are good, too. I feel like I need to give Aurora an honorable mention for that, since she's the one who came in and really kicked off the dialogue ideas, then eventually more people pitched in.

Well, MBE, tbh there are only very few Ash tribute vids on youtube.

Genol3oost is one of few guys being a fan of Ashley (or a generic ME fan without issues with any of the characters). He did some amazing vids including Ashley's romance.

By the way: I don't understand the haters. They throw words like "racist", "b*tch" and such at Ashley while they're fans of another certain character that is INDEED a racist until a very late point in the game. Since this is a friendly thread, I won't call names.

Disliking Ash is okay to me. She's hard to take if you have an entirely different image of a woman. Ashley speaks her mind, she is an equal and that may cause some issues. Well ... no one says you have to love her. But hate? Again my theory seems to apply: some whiney kids with low self-esteem lash out against Ashley's character since they don't understand her and can't take her criticizing Shepard (or their "Avatar"), hitting their ego.

Well ...

I appreciate Ashley's attitude to speak her mind - it makes her to a perfect XO and partner.

It's all because of Ash eventually killing Wrex, I guess. People can't just understand that his death is the consequence of their own negligence. They blame her, forgetting that she saved Shep's life at the same moment. There are lot of comments under ME3 videos saying someting like "lol Wrex alive? that b**ch took him in me1". People just don't know that it was possible to save him. And they call themselves "Wrex supporters".

If I was Wrex, I would eat them all.

Anyway, check this out. It's not all about Shepley romance, but it's still included. And really well done.

Oh, yeah. That's good. I've seen that vid before, but maybe some other guys haven't. The top comments are win.

Ah, now I get it. I prefer: "Video was great...even better when Ashley began talking." Win.

I don't get those folks in the comments. They always same the same thing, over and over. And the two things they always say are: "She's racist." or "I nuked you on Virmire."

Pfft. Haters.

I made a thread on gamefaq asking why people hate Ashley and they just give the same reason over
and over. I realize that those people are just too stupid to understand a complex character like Ashley

Yeah, I guess if they're going to blame Ash for Wrex's death in that situation, then they're obviously going to be stupid enough to think she's racist. Sadly, they don't know any better. I think the majority of Ashley haters are either young or not at all very intelligent. Now... not all of course, some people just dislike her and that's okay. But it's those people who throw around that word, and blame her for Wrex's death ect. But then again, this is a game. And most folks just fly through it and make rash judgements. Hmm. Who knows.

She's a driven, spiritual and pragmatic individual. Nothing more to it. It's certainly not warrenting of the hatred she recieves.

Think we should write a blog or something explaining why Ashley's not racist or responsible for Wrex's death. That way, we don't have to keep typing out the same sentences. Sure would save time.

The haters are annoying cause as most of you have said they just throw out the same stupid arguements, I honestly believe Ashley is for the more sophisticated player and so if you are just a mindless goon then you aren't going to appreciate her brilliance. But it's their loss and the sort of people they are I'd rather they didn't like her they can keep their Tali or Liara or gay romance and we'll all have the one that matters.

(This isn't a hate against any character just so I don't get bombarded with messages)

about wrex's death, if he was killed by ash, it means you screw up because you dont have enough paragon points to convience him, you cant really blame her for killing wrex since she is also doing her job which is protecting her co which is shepard.
