AD should pin that one cut dialogue about "death" in the first post.

I need it AGAIN to show Apathy in that other thread ... you know, the "slideshow" with the dialogue where Ash asks Shepard how it was to be dead.

@MBE: Yeah, Ashley is an "action person". However, she also uses words to express herself - something that's missing in ME3, thanks to cut content.

@Aurora: I'm pretty sure Shepard wants to life, however, the battle on London broke him. The entire farewell episode kinda shows a broken Shepard that only wants to end it once and for all - regardless of the prize.

I think Ashley expresses herself rather well, "I was lost without you." says it pretty clearly, IMO.

The only thing that's missing is her Zaeed-style-dialogue on the Normandy, and the 'after life' one. AND the word "Skipper."

Man it infuriates me how she becomes Zaeed in ME3. There were so many great opportunities for some awesome dialogue and they either seemed to be cut or just not wirtten. I'm actually really looking forward to doing my next run through of ME1 so I can have some proper conversations again.

"I was lost without you" ... too bad it's also played in that time capsule scene with Liara.

That's why I think half of Liara's scenes come with a romantic context, even if NOT romanced. It's a bit annoying -.-

Can't wait to get our project running and set wrongs right done in ME series.

"I was lost without you" only plays for the ME1 romances. It's their song!

But Ashley is the only one to actually say, "I was lost without you."  So therefore it's her song. :)
Yeah, there's quite a few folk in there now. Should be easy to write up, once we all agree. Posted Image

Okay, I was talking about the romantic theme in ME3. The title was ... uhhh, nevermind. You know which one I mean.

Ashley's in my eyes the "canon love interest" for a male Shepard. Since Sheploo is pretty much the canon!Shepard, Ash is his girl.
And even for a female Shepard, Kaidan is more her dude than anyone else. So in fact, the VS is the canon LI, not Liara.

However, things changed later and Liara became what the VS was intented to be. I mean, out of all romantic story plots, the one for the VS comes with most drama, sacrifice and difficult decisions.

Exactly, Sheploo chooses Ash, because she feels more canon. At least in ME1.

So, here I am putting on my suit before work, listening to some Frank Sinatra, and it got me thinking...has anyone seen a ME tribute with a Sinatra song? I think I might try something different and make a Shepley tribute video, maybe with Fly Me to the Moon or Come Fly with Me.

My Shepard likes Sinatra. My Way would be awesome for a Shepard tribute.

Yeah, it feels as if Ash was canon in one, then it slowly shifts to Liara through 2 and 3... which utterly infuriates me.

Also, where is this supposed reward for staying loyal all the way through?

The problem is you can't discourage Liara's infatuation with you. With all other characters, if you say no once, they accept it and don't pursue you anymore. Liara keeps pushing...

Ashley definitely felt canon in ME1. So much so, that my Shepard couldn't give up on her in ME2. It did change along the way, though. If there has to be one, Liara is the canon now. It likely had something to with the whole virmire scenario.
You get nicer conversations, what more do you want? Posted Image

You get a kiss in the date, some "I love yous" and a "speech" by Shepard why he loves and admires Ash how he does.

In my eyes, Ashley is canon.

A 'thank you for staying loyal' would be nice. Or a mutually exclusive scene between cheaters and loyalists.

Ashley: Thanks for not cheating on me with the nearest peice of ass, Skipper.
Shepard: You're welcome. This is the only ass I want.
*cue love scene*

----

Ashley: You god damn son of a b*tch!
Shepard: Stop throwing crap at me! Calm down.
Ashley: Don't tell me to calm down, you f**king man-****!
*Frying pan hits Shepard's head, critical mission failure*

Something like that? More drama perhaps? Posted Image

personal sidequest for Ash, Kaidan and Javik woulda been nice. Ya know, their own loyalty missions so to speak. Everyone you encountered and recruited had a mission that you helped them get through, why can't those who missed out get ones too?

Well, I do have an idea ...

Cheaters:

Ashley: Heard you had some fun while working for Cerberus, Shepard.
Shepard: Tried to avoid anything, Ash-
Ashley: Don't "Ash" me, Shepard.
Shepard: When you told me it's over, back on Horizon ... I moved on. I was sure you moved on too. And when I read your letter, it was too late ...
Ashley: So it's my fault you cheated on me?
Shepard: I didn't cheat on you - it was over. That's what you said.
Ashley: Fine. Even if you did not cheat on me, why should I take you back?
Shepard: I could make you "feel good enough" again, Ashley - I want this "something real" back.
Ashley: Keep trying, Shepard. Maybe someone believes you one day.

---------------

Ashley: Tali told me you never thought about another woman while you were with Cerberus. Shepard ... I ... I thought you moved on after our argument on Horizon.
Shepard: Ash, I couldn't ... it was always about you. Before I went through the O4 Relay, I looked at your image, told you, I would come back, even prayed. You were with me, always.
Ashley: Wish I could have been with you. I'm sorry for what I said to you.
Shepard: It's okay. I'm sorry I tried to recruit you for the team. It was a stupid move ...
Ashley: You did what you thought it was the best for all of us.
Shepard: And you did the same. Ash ...
Ashley: Skipper ...
Shepard: I want you "feel good enough again", Ash. I want back what we had.
Ashley: Give me some time ... I ... I want it too. It's just not ... I need to sort my thoughts, okay?
Shepard: Take all time you need, Ashley. No pushing.
Ashley: Thanks, Skipper ...

i was looking forward to some kind of loyalty missions for ash in me3 but end up disappointed since there was little to no content for her after ash comes back to the normandy

Pfft. Do I need to do run-half way across the galaxy on an personal errand for Ash (like the ME2 characters) to earn back her loyalty? No. I just need to catch up with her after so long apart, give her some answers. I liked it that way. Is there any difference in ME3 if a ME2 squadmate was unloyal? I don't know, since all my team were loyal. I'm guessing Bioware just kill them off as usual?

@Data; Nice job. Ashley should have stone-walled a Shepard who cheated. Btw I noticed that you tend to get sappy with that, "feel good enough" thing. ;)

I was thinking missions involving their previosu experiences and war assets would be more relevant to the war:

Ashley:
- Ashley has received wind of her old regiment (S unit members) being involved on a missions thats gone south
- The Normandy has to break through enemy lines to retreive members of her S unit whom were marooned while trying to retake an Alliance shipyard or retreive the completed dreanoughts (armed with thanix canons of course)
- Involves Zero-G combat and it kinda shows how Ashley has evolved over the past years (members of her unit rallying to her, her issuing orders). We see how Ashley has shaped the unit, as many of the members show aggressive combat behaviour and are experts in hitting hard and fast
- Possibly see a colleague of hers, whom has subtle romantic intentions towards her.
- Involves a twist at the ending: Two Reaper dreadnoughts have made it into the system and are closing in fast. You've got a team left behind. They assure that they can make it to the shuttles, but you know if the Reapers grab em there's a whole host of Alliance bases whose locations will be revealed
Do you:
- Order an orbital bombardment on top of their position. This allows you to bug out fast with the dreadoughts in tow as your war assets
- Stall the Reapers with your dreadnaughts (temprarily controlled by EDI). You might lose at least one till the team makes it
Depending on your choice, renegade/paragon status, relationship Ashley might chew you out and romance might end. Or she might comfort you and try to help you. Being a jerk towards the fate of her team or her, might earn you her exit (she leaves and joins Alliance Spec Ops Command)

Kaidan:

- has received a distress signal from members of his unit. They're trapped on a planet, trying to protect their training ground and the trainees inside it.
- Normandy deploys in systems and the Shepard, Kaidan and CO. hit the dirt
- We see Kaidan experiences with biotics come into play, as he uses his skills to coordinate Biotic artillery strikes and shielding
- Behold another twist ending: A Cebrerus defector is unmasked and has been feeding Cerberus intel on Biotic trainees. In the ensuing standoff shots are fired and one of Kaidan's officers is badly wounded. So too is the Cerberus defector.
- Choice:
A. Save the defector and receive a boost to your information regarding Cerberus operatives within Alliance Command
B. Save the officer, because he's a strong, loyal officer and could be an asset in the fight
- Depending on the outcome, Kaidan might agree, disagree or call you a complete jerk. Depending on your reaction he might leave the Normandy and command the remanants of his unit.
