Pfft. Do I need to do run-half way across the galaxy on an personal errand for Ash (like the ME2 characters) to earn back her loyalty? No. I just need to catch up with her after so long apart, give her some answers. I liked it that way. Is there any difference in ME3 if a ME2 squadmate was unloyal? I don't know, since all my team were loyal. I'm guessing Bioware just kill them off as usual?
@Data; Nice job. Ashley should have stone-walled a Shepard who cheated. Btw I noticed that you tend to get sappy with that, "feel good enough" thing.
Kinda wanted to use some parallel lines to show it's the dialogue that happens in the same moment of the game, 'though in one Shepard cheated on Ash, in the other one he staid faithful.
And I like the "feel good enough" line. It's the understatement of the century - and replaces "I love you". Somehow that makes it even more powerful in my eyes ...

Her views and how she see's/treats other races. I always got the impression she was intolerant at best, which is nothing against her when 90% of the galaxy is intolerant.BP93 wrote...
Her views? As in what? I don't see anything drastic about her that changed... she's a little more trusting of Garrus, Tali, etc.. yes but other than that nothing really changed. *shrug*
@Grimez7.. Pretty much and it's kind of lame. I kind of know how Miranda fans feel now.. LOL
But for her to then accept getting dumped for an alien, stand by your choice and go as far as to say "look after her, I see her as a little sister"
I'd say her stance and views had changed.

Just to be clear. Ashley Williams is suscpicious of the other's species leadership..because they're too much like us.
Individuals she treats as individuals, but its the leadership she's suscpicious of.

So I'm curious, what did people call their Ashmancer Shepard? Did you use old English names like Ashley's?

Called my Ashmancer, Alan Shepard, named after Alan Shepard Commander of Apollo 14. Gives my Shepard a historical background, much like Ashleys who's grandad fought in the First Contact War, share a common background, Human space exploration

At the beginning we have already created character, so, how he showed up there? For me, it's canon.
According to Bioware, there is no established canon concerning Shepard. Thats half the beauty of the ME universe is that there could gazillions of Shepard running around and doing different things.
The prepackages Shepard (aka: Soldier John Shepard) may just be a thing to help players just jump into the game. I know I pikced that...and then afterwards created my own Shepard

The same way Femshep showed up there lol, that would mean we'd have 2 canon Shep's

My primary Shepard is named John Wayne.
Yeah, I lack originality. I just saw the "John" the first time I ever played ME2 and just added on the Wayne. So I'm like The Duke, 170 years into the future.

But sometimes it's strange when nobody call him by his first name. Every time, Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, Shepard, Shepard! It's annoying a bit.

Just started a whole new playthrough from ME1 last night of my original Shepard. The nostalgia was overwhelming.

That was an odd thing to see really ... Not that Tali was a quarian but that Ashley is cool with being left by Shepard. She isn't happy when it's Miranda if I remember correctly. I would have thought that Shepard leaving her for a former teammate would sting even more. After all, Tali was there when the two were together = double betrayel. Just as soon as I'm gone you are trying to get into his bed ... you b****!
I guess that Bioware decided that Ash not being happy that Shepard dumped her for Tali would be seen as "oh, see she is racist!" and not "Wow! Tali knew that Shepard was seeing Ash and went after him anyway ... Oh, snap girlfriend!"

Seeing how "unserious" the ME2 origin characters romances were treated, they're made tos eem like sexual flings. So for Shepard there was no emotion there because the writers decided to scrap them. Ashley/Kaidan "walked away" so there was "nothing" there and then there was "nothing" there for Miranda, Jack, Jacob, or Thane, so after a break you're back with the ME1 person.Aurora313 wrote...
A 'thank you for staying loyal' would be nice. Or a mutually exclusive scene between cheaters and loyalists.
Freaking. Stupid.
A thanks for being loyal scene would jsut rub it in the face of how much a of a joke the ME2 characters were treated.
