So I'm curious, what did people call their Ashmancer Shepard? Did you use old English names like Ashley's?

Daniel. I used my middle name for him. I used my first name for my canon MShep.

EDIT: Top of page Ash

Well I finally got Ashley back on my squad and went to talk with her and just got 'Good to see you Commander.' I have played it before but I forgot just how bad the dialogue is, I mean after the coup surely she'd have something to talk about? But anyway this has been said before.

I'm heading off for a couple of days so won't be on till Friday some time and so I leave with a collection of pics:

My Shepard asked her not to wear that on missions, said it was too distracting and he'd be too tempted to go for the twins.

Also, there's the fact that it provides zero protection against bullets and things that explode. Which I think would make him worry about her.

*snip*

But for her to then accept getting dumped for an alien, stand by your choice and go as far as to say "look after her, I see her as a little sister"

I'd say her stance and views had changed.

That was an odd thing to see really ... Not that Tali was a quarian but that Ashley is cool with being left by Shepard. She isn't happy when it's Miranda if I remember correctly. I would have thought that Shepard leaving her for a former teammate would sting even more. After all, Tali was there when the two were together = double betrayel. Just as soon as I'm gone you are trying to get into his bed ... you b****!

I guess that Bioware decided that Ash not being happy that Shepard dumped her for Tali would be seen as "oh, see she is racist!" and not "Wow! Tali knew that Shepard was seeing Ash and went after him anyway ... Oh, snap girlfriend!"

I'm surprised so many people write that off and think that Ash is just okay with it because she didn't overreact. Her trust gets lowered in Shepard quite a bit. That's why she won't lower her gun instantly during the coup, you'll have to persuade her. There's definitely a lot bubbling under the surface with Ashley if Shepard cheats on her with Tali. Break down what she says: "Like a little sister. I approve." It's still a bite. After all, Tali is a kid when you met her, and Ashley’s drilling that fact home, I think. When you bring them both with you on the Geth dreadnaught, you see that Ash hasn't exactly got over it yet.

Tali handles losing Shepard way better than Ashley does. Tali doesn't even care in the slightest, the moment you dump her, she's off with Garrus. Ashley can't even move on three years down the line.

Yeah, but Tali making her move on Shepard once Ashley is momentarily out of the picture? … Is like the biggest betrayal ever. On both sides.

Oh, no. Don't be silly.

@MBE

Yeah, it kind of is. And she'd be a rebound anyway. Those never work out.

Just a question for everyone who complains about that outfit not being practical in combat.

How many of yall actually put her helmet on at all times in the field? Or anyone elses for that matter? I know I alternate helmets on and off. Practical or not, sometimes I can't help myself, I just wanna see that face :P

Replaying ME2 right now, and Shepard's helmet is always off. I know I lose some minor bonuses, but I can't stand talking to NPCs with my helmet on. ME3 tried the option to have helmets turn off during conversations, but it was bugged for me and didn't work half the time.

beacuse half the time enviromental issues meant that if they took their helmets off, then they would suffocate and die. They keep them off when its practical to have them off.

I don't use helmets because Edwin Shepard wears a combat visor.

I use the "off during conversations" with Shepard because I wear the regular old N7 helmet. So I usually just make my squad wear their's too.

I haven't looked in to the helmet options very closely. To be completely honest, I didn't even know I could make the squad wear their helmets.

I think there's 2 options for squad. Default On and Default Off.

I can't remember either to be honest.

Who? Tali or Ash?

Anyway. BIGGEST BETRAYAL EVER. Can people really blame Ashley for wanting to go with Hackett in that situation?

Wait... I think maybe I did hear about that before.

Isn't it the case that if you pick "default" on, they wear both the helmet and the breathing mask?

That would just bug me. On planets with a breathable atmosphere, the ideal would be what we had in ME1 - helmet without the mask.

I don't understand why they couldn't just put a toggle or something on the skills screen for each squad member.

No. But I still wouldn't let her.

I don't get why people think she's OK with it if you romanced Tali. The geth dreadnought mission is basically one big cat fight if you bring Ashley along. Doesn't seem "OK" to me..

Yeah, me either. Ash isn't okay with it, and I don't blame her for wanting to serve with Hackett. I wouldn't want to be around an ex who cheated on me, that's for sure. It'll only cause more pain, than good.

But I stayed faithful, and Ash always asks to serve on the Normandy again with a faithful Shepard....

I'll never stray from Ash.

And I'll never turn her down when she asks to come back to the Normandy. I don't understand how anyone with a heart can do that.
