It might be a good time to ask if any of Ashley’s onboard dialogue got bugged out like (Ken & Gabby’s), because she is really short on dialogue once you get her back on the Normandy. You know, get them to double-check that everything is there.

If anything, that bugged conversation with Aethyta where she's always convinced you are Liara's boyfriend/girlfriend. She's not my girl except in one playthrough! But more importantly, getting the Ash bugs would definitely help in the long run.

I know right? That's really irritating. I mentioned it over in the Miranda thread for some reason a few weeks ago and supposedly that bug disappears during NG+ (haven't tried it though to be certain). I just ignore that Paragon interrupt (out of fear that it'll flag Liara as my LI).

I have a question for you guys. Suppose (and the likelihood of my following through on this hypothetical is not overly high) with my Mirandamance Shep I went and denied Miranda the access to the Alliance resources (under the theory that the Alliance can't spare any), she would then get killed on Sanctuary. Even though I had already "locked-in" with her (assuming you can still lock-in after denying her access to the resources- I've never tried it), would I still be able to go back to the Citadel and do the date with Ashley, if I hadn't done that scene yet? Or would that opportunity be gone? If it were still available, would I be able to lock-in with Ash at that point?

yeah. If you deny her the resoures she dies, if you break up with her she dies. Those are the two ways that Kai leng can kill Miranda and when you kill him on Cronos station Shepard will say "That was for Thane and Miranda you S.O.B"

Yeah, I was just wondering if I did that (not that I'm likely to), if it would be too late after Sanctuary to have that "date" with Ash and lock-in with her. I'm guessing it would be.

Shepard: Exactly.

Ash: That just explains those two, though. Where’s everyone else?

Shepard: Liara’s working. I think she’s been working non-stop the past few days. Between the krogan clans fighting each other, the Salarian Union looking unstable, and the Alliance provisional government holding elections, I think she’s starting to miss the days when she was mostly focused on the Reapers.

Ash: Surprised she’s still on the Normandy, really. Being part of the squad must make it hard to be Shadow Broker.

Shepard: Yeah… I get the feeling Feron has raised that issue with her. She’s been less than willing to discuss the matter, though.

Ash: So, Garrus, Tali, and Liara are all busy. But why isn’t the Alliance crew around?

Shepard: Some of them are watching the latest Blasto movie on home simulstim. The others, I guess, are watching the leadership debate for the Alliance elections. It’s coming in over the extranet as we speak.

Ash: Riiight. Almost forgot about that. Why aren’t you watching it, anyway? I’d have thought that would be right up your alley.

Shepard: Alliance politics these days are depressing. Have you seen how Terra Firma is doing in the latest polls? They might come in fourth, even third place. Force their way into playing a major role in the next government. Turns out the blame game is more popular than ever, no matter how important our allies were in the Reaper war.

Ash: So… You’re just going to spend the evening on the crew deck?

Shepard: It’s not all bad. You’re here. And I thought I might have a beer. Brought one for you too.

Ash:  Ugh. More of that Mindoir swill.

Shepard: “Swill” That hurts. That’s deeply insulting. I think we need to find a way for you to make up for your insult to my home.

Ash: Oh? And just what, exactly, did you have in mind?

Shepard: Get over here. We’ll work something out.
