New research has led to evidence that being bitten by seeker drones makes women overly pissy... news at 9.

I think being bitten by a seeker drone would make anyone pissy, regardless of gender. lol

Lies, men don't get pissy... We get obnoxious

EDIT:

I had to go searching for this

All Ashley pics are hot.  Except for this one.  :P

As for a scene I'd like to see in ME3, dinner is great and all but it is kind of the end of the world happening around you.  Not much time for a date if you ask me.  I would like to see a scene that solidifies how they feel about each other and that they'd like to be together after this whole mess and all that crap.  Hehe

a Scene Iw ant to see if Someone, doens't even have to be a love interest, saving Shepard's ass. Shepard ebing helless or something would be great to get rid of her mary sue image Bioware's made up for her and it'd make her seem more human.

I want to see Ash cry or at least look like she's ready to shed some tears. I want a moment in the game were you really want to press that freaking paragon interrupt!

What do you think Ash would cry at? Her family is the obvious one, so no cheating

If Shep & Friends had to visit Shanxi for some reason in ME3, that could get her to well up... but that's "family"-related... :P

If she and Shep got into a deep discussion about Horizon, that could do it too. Or going back to where they first met on Eden Prime, perhaps.

Agreed! My ideal scenario would be that it's indeed a love interest saving her ass, and a newly available one at that, since it could set up delicious possibilities for a romance where Shep does the swooning instead of the other way around. But even Legion, Anderson, or Conrad Verner (:o) saving Shep would be nice.

(P.S. it's my my first post in the thread but I've been a behind-the-scenes supporter for awhile. Hooray for the boomstick!)

I still think marriage doesn't fit for Ash and Shepard. I find the whole idea of them putting anything to do with marriage and/or babies into ME3 really cheesy.

Save it for the imagination.

I mean my God, Shepard and Ash have barely even had time to have a relationship. Why would they just get married? Neither one of them strikes me as the whimsical romantical sap type.

Can't we just have an open ended "they are together and happy the end" ending?

If they ever got married it would be later and small and practical and Ashley would never change her last name.

Marriage, kids, sharing a life, romance - this is all beautiful and awesome. It's just not Ash. It's not her character... in my opinion.

I like the occasional cheesiness, what can I say?

And I will reiterate what I enjoyed about her romance is that it could be played from a number of different angles. So I see nothing wrong with having the mere option of hinting at the idea. Maybe it would be in character for her to laugh or scoff at the idea, but I would gladly take that. I would just like to have my Shepard approach her with intentions to give their relationship the second chance it deserves. Besides, once the events of the series is over, there will be a lot of time to mull it over.

It wouldn't actually be in the game, mind you, just...an idea to be pitched. Maybe a mention in an epilogue. Or maybe they'll just wander the cosmos kicking ass, whatever the player would prefer. Again...just like the option. I figured that's in the spirit of what Bioware was promoting.

Yes of all the characters in ME, Ash was the one that I felt like I was
actually talking with as opposed to just getting information from.
That's why I liked her.

I think it helps that she didn't have an overdramatic backstory like damn near every other squadmate. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png

You mean that pretty well adjusted and normal with a level head and no deep
seated daddy issues? ...and therefore boring to a lot of people?  Yes.
 haha

It's ironic, people want to play counselor but if a character bares their soul too much (I'm looking at you Kaidan)
then they're suddenly a whiner. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png

Funny, in my romance with Kaiden, my female Sheprd says something like, "...It doesn't make you whiny, it makes you human," and with Ashley she's explained her views to the best of her ability. And yet...

All the characters are very interesting, but I always found Ashley as an...anchor of sorts. The aliens and their backstories are fascinating, and help the player delve into the world, but the humans--Ash in particular--were a place to return to.

There should be a scene where they're doing target practice on the Normandy and catching up on things and Ashley outshoots Shepard. That would make my year
Think this

Depends on Shepard's class. no way she outshoots a soldier or infiltrator shepard, a biotic or tech shep maybe but their focuses are eselwhere. There's no way in Hell Ashley's outshooting Kallen with her adrenaline rush.Posted Image

Dinner with Ashmight seem weird, but the galaxy is a big place and flying through it takes time, even with relays. And you're not always prepping for upcoming fights. If I were in that situation I'd like dinner to remind me of the old days and such. I think it's plausible.

I like the idea of Ash saving your ass too. I've always liked to see Shepard in a situation where he is really screwed for once and needs help.

For every step Shotgun Shep takes towards the enemy, two hostiles die by Sniper Williams' might.

I know we're off the marriage subject.... and this probably won't even get read, but here it is anyway: :P

JMKnave wrote...

Closing the trilogy on a marriage; that would be too tidy and perfect wouldn't it?

I'm guessing Bioware is going for more of a climactic "Spock" type ending where the lives of the many (humans & aliens) outweigh the lives of the few or the Shep. I foresee Samurai Sheploo taking out the Reapers by going out in a blaze of glory. Maybe Ashley will give us a 21 gun salute or better yet, shed her first solitary tear at the funeral.

With all due respect.... (lol)

HEEEELL NO! lol .... I do not want Shepard to die at the end of ME3... you wanna talk cheesy? That's it right there. blech!

Out of all the female LI's, I always saw Ash the most likely to end up married and with a family. But that's not in the scope of the the games.
I'd be okay with knowing that Shepley are staying together after the Reapers got reaped.
Can't be too hard to write a few lines of epilogue about that and other possible endings.

I agree with this... I think Ashley would definitely want to get married..... later down the road though. She loves family so much ... I think she'd want little Shepleys of her own! ^_^

But like I said.... not marriage at the end of the game... at least not in game. Maybe in an epilogue that runs down how they've been doing for the last 30+ years or so (humans live to like 150 in ME right?) and then possibly saying how they settled down.

I just don't think Mass Effect is an epilogue type game. I'd be happy with a smooch in front of a huge explosion and turning around to stare at the burning Earth or something. lol

I would love this type of scene!!! Say Shepard and his/her team is pinned downed and grossly outnumbered and then they swoop in from the back and take the enemy out just when Shepard and co were about to begin some stupid ass plan that had no chance of working. Of course, with Bioware writing it would be much better than that. lol

However, if any saving is done.... it better be done by Ashley! Make him/her think some more.... "damn, that girl is good!"

Kinda like how they had the romance time on the way to Ilos?

You know... that could actually work. In my mind, at least! lol

Say, like how you could invite kelly up to dinner in ME2.... you can invite Ash up to the cabin for dinner to talk about things... and you get a few different dialogue choices, then when you're nearing the end of the meal... the ship is attacked or something abruptly ending the dinner and they give each other a look like... "here we go again!" and strap their armor on... grab their ARs... and take off. lol

My perfect moment to catch up would still be the hunting scenario, just Shep and Ash, though the prey will probably most likely be Husks or Geth ot Cerberus troops, with a nice improvised picnic (and maybe a tumble in the grass.) I really can't imagine them having the classic romantic dinner scenario, no matter how hard I try, even if they weren't at war.
Mmmh, now I see them standing in formal wear in front of a hot dog stand.

LessThanKate wrote...

*snip*

This. And the rest of the quoted post, too.
I almost always vote for more options, if they don't take away from other, more important things.
And actual wedding scene might be bit much, though maybe as DLC ;-) but at least the opportunity to talk about marriage, like with Liara.
As for my main ManShep and Ashley, I picture them living like Grissom when they are old, very reclusive, fighting off curious people and they are not really sure, if they have a marriage license in a drawer somewhere or not, a couple of kids running around the Galaxy with very diverse talents. But it'll still be along time before they retire.
One of my other Shepards is planning to take Ashley to Horizon to nuke that stupid place for their honeymoon, so he seems intend on marrying her at some point. Or he might have the ceremony there, to give a more positive meaning to the place, depending on how his temper develops in the future.

As for changes, they will make for Ashley: I really don't like to think about it in detail, because the thing I look forward to the most, right after having her back, is getting to know her again as unbiased as possible. But with everything that has happened after the defeat of Sovereign it would be unrealistic to expect her to remain unchanged.

Oh, and here is part three of Ashley travelling though art history, without Sheploo this time.

And an insulted Shep can say: ''Hey we had a deal, I gave you a dinner, so where is that mini skirt and where are those thigh high boots?'' (Hang on, her new outfit...I think I see what Ash did there)

Btw Reed, turns out there is a renegade (-ish)  Ash on the web afterall:
