I don't want to repeat myself but I always liked her ME1 tomboyish look that strong, confident, military style woman was something I found very attractive  

Btw, I wasn't naming Chakwas as one of my top sexiest characters lol, I thought it was just a favourite female character. Otherwise Chakwas would not have been on it

I listed my 5 favorite females as LIs before, but here are my top 5 favorite females (not romances).

1. Ashley

2. Tali

Meh Ash is the only one for me (though I romanced Tali in ME2)

Even on ME3 multiplayer my soldier is a female namned Ashley wearing blue armour.

My romance choices over the series (as a Male Shepard)

ME1: Ashley twice, Liara once.

ME2: Tali, Liara in LOTSB, stayed loyal to Ash in one.

ME3 (played it 2 times and up until Horizon on another...waiting for EC): Ashley twice, Liara once.

Ash is definetly my favorite.

I partially agree with this, which is part of the reason she is not my favorite anymore. Plus, I am not a huge fan of how the developers seem to put a little more effort into her romance over the others in ME3...great for Liara fans, but not so great for everyone else.

Same here, I feel like Liara is more of a good friend and Tali like a little sister. While I find Tali very cute, I could never see her as a romantic interest. I liked Miranda in ME2, but then they made her so secretive and distant in 3 that I just abandoned that play through and went back to my original where I romanced Ash from ME1.

1. Ashley (until a few months ago when I replayed ME1, she wasn't my favorite, but she grew on me..independent, beautiful, and cares for her family...I love it). I thought she looked good with the bun, but now she is even hotter in ME3

To me, She's that one friend that I don't mind hanging around with, but is a little awkward because I know she's trying to get my romantic affection but I'm not interested in that way... My shepard admires her as a biotic and info broker, but really wishes she could take a hint...

Liara isn't really doing that well as an information broker, if you think about it. Traynor actually provides more useful intelligence, and Liara actually misses a few things that, as Shadow Broker, she should have picked up on.

That actually doesn't bother me, though. The way I see it - the last Shadow Broker didn't devote as much time to the Reapers, and didn't try to do his job while being part of someone's commando squad. If Liara could actually focus on being Shadow Broker, she'd probably be better at it.

Yeah, I know that feel. Personally I always thought Liara came off as a little... desperate.

Have you ever played that comic Genesis for ME2? ...Bioware's favouritism  for Liara shows... so much.  However, they still make Liara sound like Shepard's young space babe. But I can't imagine someone swimming around in your personal memories "pleasant"

Yeah. My old canonShep, the giant woobie with two dead wives. He was not happy about it at all. In fact when she brought it up privately afterwards he said pretty much every variation of 'Talk to anyone about it, I kill you.' (bare in mind, this was my really crapsack world shepard.)

My new Shepard feels violated but the invasion of his privacy, but understands the nessecity. Doesn't make him feel any better, but he pushes it aside to complete the mission.

I actually don't mind Liara's feelings for Shepard, at least from a story standpoint. What I mind is her getting so much more attention than the other characters, and being the only one from the previous two games who can't ever die.

If only the other LIs got as much attention, I think I'd be okay with things. Having a squaddie feel unrequited love works for me. That stuff happens sometimes.

Makes for good head canon, as well. Edwin Shepard wants to be friends with Liara, so he just chooses to ignore the obvious. Ash has a more difficult time ignoring it, and all it does is further add to some of the tension between the two. In my headcanon, when Liara returns to the squad for the missions that happen about a year and a half after ME3, Ash will eventually confront her.

Liara just isn't my Shepard's type at all. And he probably wouldn't have broken regs and ended up with Ash either, but then Virmire happened. Virmire ties my Shepard and Ash closer than anyone. Ash & Shepard bring it up in ME3 a few times, but that should've been Ashley standing outside Shepard's bathroom door asking the question about Kaidan... Instead it felt like Bioware were pushing Liara in there again and every chance they got. What did she even come by for anyway? Pfft.
