To be honest, I actually doubt the Survivors of the Crash could have afforded a child, but since it was - ya know - Shepley's kid, they sort of turned the other cheek and didn't push anything.

I really hope they don't make Shepard's LI pregnant. It makes no sense. People in 2186 should have access to birth control, and know how to use it. They're not going to be that stupid on the eve of a risky mission.

I also have to say - it's probably better if we don't have too much information on what Shepard and Ash do after the war (assuming they're both alive, and Bioware gives us anything) because we each have different ideas about who are Shepards are. Settling down and having kids is good for some, but what if I have a Shepard who I don't think would ever do that? If we go into too much detail, aren't we getting into a whole "autodialouge" style trap again, where Bioware is defining our Shepard for us?

Sorry to toss a bucket of cold water, but I just think this needs to be raised. All I want is a scene where they're reunited. Anything beyond that - maybe not a good idea, and they'd have to be very, very careful.

The LI shouldn't be pregnant of course not but I can't help but have the feeling that BW might throw that in there. I wouldn't want it but it would not surprise me.

Plus I think they can show Ashley and Shepard a few down the line and I don't think it'd damage too many peoples head canons, if they are married then that's not an issue because if she was your LI the chances are you imagine at some point they would get married and not just be bf and gf for the rest of their lives.
Also if they have children I don't think that damages too much either cause chances are again if you have an LI you're gonna accept the idea they would move on with thier lives a few years down the line and have families especially if the LI is Ashley who loves the idea of family so much.

I don't think it will go that far into the future and I'd imagine furthest it would go is a simple reunion between your LI or LI and some crew (assuming it shows us that at all)

"Joker. You ok?" Ashley said, finding the brittleboned pilot slumped in the seat within the cockpit that he had loved so much. The brim of his cap lowered over his eyes.

"EDI's back-up generator is coming up on empty now. Lasted nearly three years on minimun power." Joker said, shaking his head then glancing over to EDI's mech body. "Just wanted to be here when it ... happens ya know...?" He finished almost longingly. 

"I know." Ashley answered, placing a hand on his shoulder. Joker leant his head back, staring out of the broken glass viewscreens of the Normandy's bare, striped carcass. They had spent the first few weeks pulling pieces of the ship apart to make emergency shelter. With little hope of rescue, and very few resources, the Normandy was stripped to the metal frame in weeks. The coms system and a beacon was all the functioning technology they had left after EDI's powercore drains. 

"Should we give it one last try?" Ashley suggested softly. There was enough power to keep the comes going for at least five minutes. Enough time to check for any rescue team that may have been near by - if there was even one at all.  Joker looked somber, hesistantly nodding before pressing keys across the panel infront of him. Three years away from the pilot's seat did little to rust his deft hands.

"This is SSV Normandy SR2. Calling anyone who can -"

" - Normandy! This is the SR3!" A voice broke through the static, though it wasn't entirely recognisable to either Joker or Ashley, but it didn't stop the rise of hope in their bellies. The crippled pilot straightened in his seat.

"SR3! We read you! I repeat, we read you! We're on a moon and need assist!"

"Joker!" The voice broke through the static again. "This is Sh-" More static, "-d! We're enroute! ETA thirty minutes. Sit tight. We're bringing you home."

Ashley's eyes widened, they met Joker's equally disbelieving green ones before speaking.

"John!?" She spat out, not quite able to swallow the news. The radio was static before going silent once more.

"What other Shepards do you know?"

Hmmm, you may have a point there DWH (adopted kids?) Ok maybe pregnant LI won't happen but I still have a feeling it may, obviously though the men would't be if you have a gay or femshep!

I agree with you. After everything that's happened between Shepard and Ash, and what they've said to each other - they're in it for the long run, no question about it. If Ash's epilogue mentions marriage and a baby a few years after the war, what of it? All I'm saying is, with the type of relationship that they have, and the family type of girl Ash is at heart... it's not a surprise AT ALL that their relationship will eventually head in that direction when the work winds down.

For Ash & Shepard  a child shouldn't be a problem. For the other love interests, like Tali, Cortez, Miranda and Garrus... of course kids aren't going to mentioned unless they decide to adopt, and that should be left to the players imagination. But for characters like Traynor and Liara who have mentioned kids in their romance? I say give them the babies. The player knew exactly what type of relationship their Shepard's were getting into. And whoever you romance in ME3 is "Shepard's true love." it is even flagged as that.

@Aurora; You've done it again!  That made me happy, though. Guess I like the sad stuff.

I personally i think that something saying eventually they were settling down and having kids makes  alot of sense  considering how much family means to  both of them . After  all that they have  been though in the three games  after some time the two of them  finding a nice place to start a family seems natural,
