I do have to say fair play to BW for creating such a great character and such great other characters which means they have us on here talking so passionately about them. Because of that and because of Ashley I too feel the series could be helped and even saved if I can get Ashley and Shepard reunited.
Yes the endings will always annoy me, yes I can't stand starchild, yes I wish I had more dialogue with Ashley but at the end of the day if I can have them together then I'll be happy and I'll be able to accept alot more. I'll also be able to believe whatever I want about their future and that'll make me alot happier

It's a shame, what they did with the endings. A fan base doesn't have to die off just because no new games are released, if those fans are still happy with the series. Look at Wing Commander:

It's been years since a Wing Commander gmae was released, and that was a console spinoff that was very different from the original games. A game in the same style as the original Wing Commanders hasn't been released since 1999. But their fan site is still going strong.

If I had the same enthusiasm for Mass Effect that I used to, I'd suggest that someone look into setting up a site similar to the WC CIC, complete with support threads for the LIs (including Ash!). ME's fanbase used to be hard core enough that I could see at least a small community continuing to thrive for years.

I don't see what's wrong with her arm, Danny. It's wrapped around Shepard. Although... now I can't stop looking at it. At least her arm isn't as weird as Shepard's... with the eyeball in his elbow. Chakwas should check that out for him sometime.... can't be healthy.

Mega look at the upper arm, it looks fine at the start but by the end you still can't see her elbow and so it looks like her upper arm is nearly twice as long as it should be, honestly if you look at it long enough I think you'll see it, or maybe I'm seeing things but it definately looks weird to me, but it did take me about 5 minutes of looking at it before I wondered about it

Btw don't read the comments below the poll, alot of Ash hate and it is just pure bollocks.

I still don't see what's wrong with Ash's arm.... It looks fine to me. Well... I've only been staring at it for about 2 minutes now. 3 more minutes and we'll see if my opinion changes.

That's what always happens, I'm afraid. Ash does have a big fanbase, but in the comment sections support for Ash always gets drowed out because of haters and their comments...

The sad thing is, even we get that - which is a big if - I still don't think I'll be able to handle Star Brat. Probably I'll have to take off my headphones and ignore as much of the dialouge with him as possible, and just try to substitute my own head canon for that part of the story.

Either way, I've been thinking more and more that it's time to maybe give Fallout 3 a try again, since I never got into it enough to play very far beyond leaving the vault. Maybe after my next ME3 playthrough.

EDIT: There's also the issue that, even if we can reunite with Ash under destroy, I'll never have a high enough EMS since I don't do multiplayer.

If I knew I could reunite with Ash, I might be willing to buy DLC again, and maybe that will add war assets. I'll be kinda tepid about buyting anything with the majority of the ending unchanged, but all I care about at this point is Ash.

The multiplayer does get boring and tedious after a while. Whenever my ratings drop I just play for a few hours with random people to boost it back up. I'm still a rabid ME fan, despite the dissappointing endings and things that were left out. Right now I'm playing ME1 again to relive some of the good memories, I already did a completionist play through before, but I want to do so again. For me, if the EC doesn't pan out I'll always have my head canon. It's not right that we have to resort to our imaginations to get closure, but that's where the ball was dropped.
