Yay! Onto writing Ashley's section of the first chapter of my Fanfiction!

Basically, detailing her trip from EDEN PRIME, her awe of the Citadel+DA, the trip to the embassy and up to the council chamber.

Gonna finish this chapter when Shepard + crew start their investigate after the trail/hearing.

Hey guys, what do you think of the prologue for my new Ash related story, Mass Effect: Razor.


The rain was ferocious, even for Kahje. Blinding sleet swept across the exposed walkways and landing platforms, making the aesthetically pleasing titanium footpaths as slippery as mud.
 
But for the two women on Pad C, the rain was the least of their concerns, and the footing only mattered insofar as they could use it as a tactical advantage. They locked together, each one struggling to gain the upper hand as they fought. Both had arrived with weapons and backup. But this fight was theirs alone, their firearms gone and their fireteams raging through the rest of the facility behind them.
 
“Bloody…Alliance…****!” The taller woman snarled as she broke free of the other’s chokehold. “Why won’t you just…die!” Drawing on what was left of her energy, she hurled a weakened ball of biotic energy at her attacker.
 
The small ball of dark energy threw the other woman back, but didn’t send her toppling into the sea below. Instead, she rammed against the pole of a guard rail, crying out briefly in pain, but momentarily safe as the biotic staggered back and dropped to her knees, her own vitality sapped by the display of power.
 
Still panting with effort, the shorter one, clad in dark black fatigues and grey impact plating, got back on her feet. A drop of blood from a cut on her face dripped onto the blue Alliance logo on her chest, momentarily defacing the symbol before the rain washed it away. She drew her knife, holding it backhanded in the typical style of Alliance Marines. “Takes a lot more than a little shove like that to kill me.”
 
“You don’t’ say?” The other woman, dressed in a form fitting jumpsuit of pure white, rose to meet her, unsheathing a long bladed stiletto, keeping the blade forward in a duelling pose. “You should have taken my offer to run for your life, Williams.”
 
The Marine’s voice was as hard as tempered steel. “And you should have stayed at home, Vandergrift.”
 
They wheeled closer to each other. The chase was over, and soon the hunt would be decided. They stared at each other and for a brief moment they froze. Because they understood, at that very second, that for all their skill and cunning…for all their training and experience…only one would leave the platform alive. The bolt of fear rooted them to the deck for what felt like eternity, green eyes meeting brown as their grips tightened on their weapons.

The Kim Brooks interview has me even more pessimistic about the EC than I was.

Well, we all knew it won't get changed entirely.

Think the best outcome we can hope for:
- Normandy fate changed / explained
- future of galaxy & species explained
- epilogue read by Shepard's LI

Done. In worst case, the Normandy's fate won't get explained, changed or whatever.

Not more, not less.

Shepard: She's ignoring me. I try to get her attention but - nothing. All she does is hanging out on the observatory deck. Whenever I try to talk to her, she answers with "hello Shepard" or has to "catch up things". It's as if she's not interested in me!
Garrus: Did something bad happen between you and her?
Shepard: You mean besides dying and working for Cerberus? No, not really ...
Garrus: Well, maybe she's busy or can't concentrate on you for now ... respect her space but let her know you're always there.
Shepard: Keep telling me that and I might believe ...
Garrus:At least I tried and you had someone to talk to.
Shepard: Yeah ...
Garrus: Don't worry, everything happens like it should. You'll take down the Reapers (of course, with your friends) and win the day, like usual. And Ash will remember what made you two to a couple.
Shepard: Yeah. Still think it's not worth the trouble. I made it to be single for nearly 10 years ... for a reason.

Data, maybe you can help me. Trying to write Ash's perspective for my next part of the fanfiction. Trying to describe default Shepard from her perspective... not entirely sure which words to use. And her first impressions of the Citadel.

Well without knowing the details Data I can't say for sure, but I do know that the right woman is always worth the trouble. No matter how frustrating or how much waiting you have to do.

I doubt things can get worse than they are currently for ME3 AND Ash fans -.-

As Horizon said what is the bad news regarding the EC? Why is DWH more pessimistic about it now?

No idea, I haven't heard anything official. There's nothing on the Bioware blog or on the website. Not sure what he's referring to.
