Oh, and he takes up photography as well and somehow along the way "Spectre Ashley Williams nude" becomes a rather popular internet search term :P

The End

The sign of a great writer is, always save the best part for the ending.

Kudos, very well done.

Thank you.

And we can safely say, again that is, that Mac Walters isn't a great writer. <_<

And I live on the East Coast of North America, so that counts maybe. Ash attracts the Eastern people.

I live in the part of England known as the West Country, so not only Eastern people. Although, now that I think about it, I am on the Eastern side of the West Country...

Hey, what about those of us who live here in Terra Australis? Although...I'm on the south east part of Australia...hmm.

Disliking a character is one thing, if you have valid reason rather than your own sort sightedness, but the level of hate Ashley gets must be unparalleled to any other ME character and it just seems so unfair.

I think Kaidan gets almost as much unjustified hate. Which irritates me, as Kaidan is another of my favorite characters.

In ME1, Ash/Kaidan were my default squad. They're the ones who got used the most.

DWH, but would kids really care as much about 'racism' or 'relgious fanaticalism'? I would have thought if kids were playing it they wouldn't really think too much about that stuff but it is quite immature to jump to those conclusions about Ashley so maybe it is an age thing.
And I think you're right the VS does seem to have a more mature relationship, I mean that emotionally and mentally not sexually, which is part of the reason I love the relationship with Ash so much.

A good number of the Ash-haters I've come across are fairly young, but the older people who hate Ash still use the same tired argument and then completely ignore any attempt at discussing the issue. I know of one woman who is a fairly famous tv show host by the name of Veronica Belmont. While talking about favorite characters from the ME series she just flat out said that Ash is a racist. Was really disappointed, thought she was more intelligent than that.

@DWH1982, Same here. From my very first play through to my new one that I'm running now, they're still my favorites. I liked Kaiden, very calm and cool.

You know what gets me irked most of all, when I see people call her a "space ****."

Edit: N-A-Z-I ...I can't believe they censor that. WHY?

I mean...I just pity people who think like that, after my little stint of anger at them that is.

Its just so ridiculous, especially because her statements aren't ones of or concerning race, but political in nature. Her opinions do follow the classical realism approach toward international relations (that is my political scientist side coming out)...which can be summarized as a "Dog eat Dog" world. The same opinions can be applied to this world so well. Its saying that each nation will look to its own interests and security, when they are threatened, even if it means sacrificing another country to do so.

Yea DWH I agree, Kaidan was great aswell, must be something about them but I just don't get what the big dislike about them is...well I do hear what people say but I don't understand why they are saying it.

Spitfire, agree aswell, like Bruce Sprinsteen says 'we take care of our own'

@Spitfire

And incidentally Ash turns out the be right when Shepard asks for help from the Council. They have their own problems to tend to, but are more than happy to ask Shepard to take care of those very problems.

Which was pretty much something I could see coming all the way back in ME1, when Ash made her original comments.

Its because its true. God! Do the people who misunderstand her words as racism ever pick up a damn history book!?! That Bear and Dog analogy can be applied to the entirety of human history so well.

Not only that, but if one pays attention, she isn't referring to any alien races as the "dog", but is referring to humanity as such. The Ash-haters usually misinterpret her analogy as the opposite and use that as their basis for their argument. It just takes a brain to figure it out.

Years later, Ash would regret not taking care of Udina when she had the chance... Image IPB

1. Find an Ash picture you like.

2. right click on the picture

3. select "properties."

4. Copy the given address/URL in the properties window

5. Come back to the forum

6. Enter the following in the forum, only replace all ( ) with [ ].

Well, it's nearly 10:30 PM here in the Washington D.C. metro area, and I have to get up early for work tomorrow. So, I should be heading to bed.

Speaking of "going to bed," might as well sign off with my favorite Shepley pic:

Hmm, I don't see to copy the image location and when I try to do it manually it just copies the text of the file's location, not the image itself. Oh well. Good night to you both, I think I'll play some ME1 before bed.
