Poor Kaidan (in my games). He's the only other character I would have been happy to see Ash with if they had both been able to survive. Ashley and Kaidan are always my squad up until those fateful events :(

Ashley and Kaidan were my squad in ME1. But I can't see Ashley being with Kaidan at all. The guy is like ten years older than her. They're just not for each other in my eyes. I can't see Ashley being interested in Kaidan, and I can't see Kaidan being interested in Ash. There's no spark there.

I can see Kaidan and Miranda being a good thing, but that would never happen either.

I always said if Ashley wasn't with Shepard I would have liked for her to be with another soldier serving on a DIFFERENT ship (or someone back home)… so I could eavesdrop on her conversation when I walk in her room. ;D

But I guess the way Bioware wrote Ash in ME3, was that she was totally devastated and seiously got stuck into her work after the destruction of the Normandy. She was always a dedicated soldier focusing on her duty, though.

I think Kaiden would've kept things strictly professional, even in their interactions in ME1 he never talks to Ashley in a familiar way to indicate any kind of interest.

Pretty much.

Besides they've both got their eyes on someone else...

Play as a male Shepard > Ashley shows interest.
Play as female Shepard > Kaidan shows interest.
Play as either gender > Liara shows interest.

That just how it goes.

And in ME3:

Play as a female Shepard > Ash might as well not even be there.
Play as a male Shepard > Kaidan turns into awkward, shy, gay dude.
Play as either gender > Liara STILL continues to show interest.

Had to fix that for you.

This made me laugh. It's true, though lol

Oh, BW. Where did you go wrong? Basically if a character isn't bisexual or gay, they get kicked to the curb.

*cough* ....Trying too hard.

Yeah I get why they did it but it's so obvious that they tried a little too hard to appeal to those who like to bat for the other team so to say. Almost makes me wish they didn't even bother. They screwed up Kaidan IMO, that's not something they should have just thrown out there in the 3rd game of a trilogy. It's like "Oh yeah, by the way.."

It's for that reason I'm glad they didn't do it for Ashley. I would have more incentive to at least attempt a Femshep playthrough, but it wouldn't be worth it. It would have been totally out of character based on the ME1 Ashley.

Yeah, I agree, BP.

Lets just say, I think we all know why Shepard SUDDENLY needed a shuttle pilot in ME3.

IMO, they did screw up Kaidan, and that dinner date is the most awkward thing ever. It just feels like it's coming out NOWHERE.

At the same time, I think there should be s/s characters for sure, but they shouldn't change the sexual orientation of established characters. It's stupid to do that at the end of a trilogy simply for the loud minority that actually wanted an s/s romance with Kaidan. Still... there isn't any big characteristics preventing Kaidan from being bisexual, unlike Ashley. You're right, bisexual Ashley is too out of character for many reasons. Bioware knew it too. They clearly tried to show every side of the ME1 Ash... in ME3. But there still wasn't enough of it in the end.

Image IPB Spitfire we've had exactly the same idea at the same time, if only we'd posted the same pic. Great minds think alike (I know you posted your pic 6 mins before mine but I was spending that time looking for a pic, there wasn't a post there when I clicked to leave a message)

@Danny: I guessed that, since I spent like 10 minutes looking for a good Ash pic, and so worried that someone would beat me to the punch!

Posting Ash pics is really the only thing I want to do nowadays, especially if I don't have anything interesting to say or get involved in the conversations.

Forget the zip, I say!

It's slightly sad that Shepard is the only guy who is allowed to touch them, play with them, hold them... talk to them.

EDIT: How long is it until I'm allowed to post pictures again? A week or two?

Well... that sucks. I still can't post in the "general discussion" forum either. It's been other 24 hours, too. Maybe I registered ME3 too quickly or something...

Browsing Deviant Art, and there are some rather "interesting" pics of ME characters (if you have seen them, you know what I mean), especially of Ash.

But, I did come across this:
Image IPB

Now, I honestly think that Ash is very beautiful in ME3, but I would much rather prefer something practical and befitting an Officer in the Alliance marines, such as above. I think number 3 would have been a good off duty uniform for her to wear, instead of that catsuit they put her in. I hate how Bioware decided to "give her more sex appeal." jeez!

I would have been perfectly fine without more "sex appeal". I don't think of her casual outfit as a 'catsuit' Miranda's outfit is a catsuit. Thank god Ashley's jacket isn't like that at least. But I always wanted Ashley in something similar to the middle outfit. Bioware said that they wanted to make her look like an 'officer' this time around. What about Kaidan, then? He is wearing the simple, standard Alliance uniform like everyone else, and he sure as hell doesn’t wear it in combat. So yeah, I ain't buying it. I think it's ridiculous that they made her breasts twice as huge in the third game, too. She's wearing a bullet proof bra > that’s my way around it.

Personally I imagine it as a side effect of all the genetic mods received when she entered the System's Alliance (I think every Alliacne soldier receives it when they enter..and it takes time to take effect).

As side effects go it could be worse

lol, the middle one looks like a mini-James Vega.... no thank you. I'm glad they didn't give Ash the same outfit/body as 90% of the people in the game.
As for Kaidan, they should of given him a unique officer's uniform as well... but clearly Bioware doesn't give a damn about him.

That's what Ashley was basically wearing in ME1. It would have worked for me, if it was customized in some way, like rolled up sleeves or something that made it unique. But instead Bioware make her breasts twice as big as before, and stick her in heels. During the coup, Kaidan shows up in his armor, and Ashley comes running in these bloody heels like a prettied up barbie in comparison.

Not hating on the jacket, but it would have been better if they didn't increase her bust so drastically. And for what? They gave her the same body model that 90% of females actually have in the sex scene. The bust is a lie!

Kaidan has unique armor, Ashley's armor is pretty much femShep's old one, except for some stripes and... bigger bust.

What about femShep's? She was practically built from scratch, and yet she doesn't have a mutated third eye or anything!

Since, I can't post smileys...

That was a joke.

Either way, the bust is a lie.

I'm sorry you hate boobs so much... they certainly don't bother me.
But to be fair, everybody in ME1 shared the exact same breast size, so you can't really say that was her true bust.
