In an attempt to make up for me missing a top Ash pic on the previous page, here's Ash with some not so heavy guns :)

What's "mean" and where'd do you go? (No need to continue that songPosted Image).

SweShadow90 wrote...

Doesn't that come with the whole package? I mean, even if you live for your family, you can still work? And even if you have a family, you usaly work when your kids are at kindergarden, school or whatever they may be during the day.

Well, if you can work only during hours when your kids in school I guess you have pretty interesting job or work really close to your home.

SweShadow90 wrote...

And maybe it's, as you say a difference in western/eastern attitude. But I don't think it's a good thing to be around your kids and partner all day, every day.

Don't know. Never had a chance to try it out, but during those periods when I can be with them, I definitely not think it's "not good". There is a lot of things you can do when you are close. And little, when you apart.
Like guns or Mealon's cure - better have it, but not need it.

SweShadow90 wrote...

Even if school and everything there's to it can be crule, it's a necesary evil to learn how to interact with people. But of course, thats just how I see it.

And how you've come to this I don't even know.

MOAR Ash pics.

Man Rudy, that wasn't the most attractive Ash pic we've had lol
Plus why would they give her the gun if she couldn't carry the ruddy thing? Ashley is a strong woman she'll carry it, but then again if she's 4ft 6 then she might have a problem ;)

Posted Image I like those Shepard pics, he's so crazy!

That's why I don't like ME3 Ashley. I wasn't able to get such shots back in ME1.

Just try to carry ****ing thing! And offer that to your IRL "partner". Hiding roller pins and frying pans and wearing a helmet beforehand is optional.

Well you get me a real life Black Widow and I'll give it a go. I'm not built like Vega but I think I could manage it. I have full faith in Ash! And I have had some experience with guns before (was a member of a local gun club) so I can hold a rifle fine. I know the other gun would weigh far more but knowing how to handle them helps.

Plus couldn't you get the ultra light materials for her other gun, that'd reduce the weight! But maybe it doesn't matter too much cause it's a game with aliens and...star children, so anything can happenPosted Image

And I would respond to the second sentance if I understood itPosted Image Maybe it's just me

The nearest rifle I can think of is Lahti L39. About 50 kg. If you can travel to US, I think I can make an arrengement allowing you to carry it. Not sure for firing - ammo is damn exorbitant.

And what was the heaviest rifle you handled? L85? L1? Steyr AUG?

Ultralight materials available only for SMG and she can't carry one. Plus bEWare seems to totally forget about how mass should affect recoil.
And lightest gun you can give her is Avenger or Vindicator. 16 more kg.

Can't we just agree space magic is how Ashley carries the gun? It's explained many things in ME3 for me!

At least when I grew up, My parents allways walked or drived me to kindergarden or school util I was old enough to do so myself. And thay allways picked me up at around 5-6 after at the "after-school-activity-house" where we all went to when our classes were finished for the day. And I still have a great relationship with my parents. And if I get the job I'm trying to get, with how opened minded the workplaces are here about being a parent, I could se myself doing the same thing the day I'm a parent without a problem.

And maybe as you say, I guess it's pretty common here to work and have your kids at schools pretty close to where your home is.

I don't fully agree with you sir. Sure alot of good things can be done when you're close. But alot of bad things can happen if you're close all the time. Call me a pesemist, but I think it's human nature.
I think everyone needs there own space sometime. Even if that's only possible on your workplace. But thats my poit of view. And I mostly respect yours. Not saying anything is the right or wrong way.

Can't you get metal rods (well, dictionaries suggests using "crowbar", but I'm not sure that's correct term) weigthing about 40 kg and try? Or two jerry cans filled with water?

I hate space magic.
Shepard can carry 40+32+16+40+24 kgs of armament (at Grade I). Yup, 152 kg. Sometimes I really wanted some enemies yelled "aah, that cyborg - he's gonna kill us all!" Posted Image

Well, when I was growing up, that was long ago - Warsaw Pact was still present those days, my parents also worked near place we lived.
But today my (and not just mine) commute took about 6 hours daily. So, go figure.

You don't have to be apart to give someone or ask someone for private space or time. Even if you have just one small room.

Can you predict Englands result against Ukraine tomorrow? :P

My Shepard spent most of ME2 annoying the Illusive Man as much as possible, mostly by doing the opposite to what TIM wanted after letting him waffle on.

- Gave the information to the Alliance instead of Cerberus
- Kept Legion for myself
- Saved David from the Overlord project
- Kept the Prothean sphere for myself (Firwalker)
- Blew up the Collector Base

I know where my loyalyies lie....

Y'know that reminds me, what happens if you don't save David from Overlord and leave him plugged in? None of my Shepards (Even the renegades) left him plugged in.

And during the rescue Jack arc, you're unable to convince those students to drop their shields, forcing you to destroy it.

On the Ash/gun weight discussion: Remember, all Alliance soldiers receive gene mods on top of their rigerous training. I would imagine some of the mods improve strength. She might be stronger than an avreage woman today, or even an average soldier.

I also assume that her armor provides some assistance, perhaps mechanized arms of some sort, but that only explains the situation if she wears actual armor and not the red and white outfit that she can (inexplicably) wear into battle. Perhaps there's some sort of portable mass effect field that also helps take off some of the weight for the heavier weapons?

On my playthroughs, Ash brings a Black Widow and a Revenant, and she seems to do fine. Posted Image

Also with regards to my personal headcanon wrt to Shepley post Reapers:

- Shepard commandeers a Geth Cruiser (disfunctional of course, because he chose the "Destroy" option). He commences a two year search for the SR2 Normandy through the fluctuating mass relays. Finally finds the wreckage and the survivors (Jokers bites it).

- Husband and wife team of Spectres for the next 5-6 years. Shepard is the good cop and Ashley is the bad cop. They sometimes mix it up for fun. The assasination of Balak is suspected to be their handiwork, but the Batarian Theorcracy abides by "death by falling" verdict. The negotiation between the Turians and Krogan is aided by the Shepley team whom act as arbitrators.

- Shepard's disfunctioning implants (affected by the Crucible blast) force him into retirement. His retirement consists of training N recruits in the Alliance Special forces.

- Ashley continues for two more years until returning back to Shepard. She accepts the prestigious position of Director of the ORA academy. Under pseudonym she publishes several critically acclaimed poetry works.

- 10 years after the destruction of the Reapers, Kaidan Shepard is born. The Krogan invite the child to Tuchanka to compete the ritual Thresher Maw rite of passage. No official comment is made from Shepley.

I just got a bit sappy before going to sleep. So right now, I'm gonna write what I imagine Ash would say if/when she gets the the hospitle they put Shepard in after he has saved the gallaxy and survived. And I'm doing this on my Iphone that tries to autocorrect in swedish :P

Ashley walks up to the hospital bed Shepards lies unconscious. She sits down on a chair next to the bed and leans towards shepard to speak in a low voice.

Ash: Hey.. Skipper.. You did it.. You saved the whole galaxy from the Reapers.. You did everything and more to make it happen. But you did it.
I wish you could see and hear how everyone shouts your name in celebrarion right now. Even if you might never admit it, but you are a hero skipper.. You saved them all.
But right now I wish I could save you by making you wake up. Cause I need you. Otherwise my world will end.
You know.. When I think of how you saved my life by just entering it, you're not just my skipper..

*Ash grabs Shepards hand with both her hands and press it agianst her cheek*
You are my captian.. And right now I'm lost at sea.
"Oh captain, My captain.."
Damn it.. Henley was wrong. I'm not the captain of my soul..
... You are..

*Shepard makes a smal head movment*

Shepard (wispering): Ash?...

Good night people ;)

About time for me to go to bed. But first:

Shepard: Hey Ash, I’m home. It was one of those days, but I’m finally back. Hey… are you here? Where are the kids?

Ash: I’m outside, in the pool. The kids are staying with some friends. When you get the chance, why don’t you come out here?

Shepard: I guess you didn’t start dinner yet, right? I was thinking about lighting the grill…

Posted Image

Ash: Care to take a dip, Skipper? The water’s fine.

Here's another one for your consideration;

After Horizon;

Ash:  Ms. Lawson.
Miranda:  Ms. Williams.
Ash:  While I know that we've been on opposing sides of the fence in the past... I have to say that what you did and went through to help your sister was... commendable.
Miranda:  *blinks in surprise for a moment, then nods* Thank you, Ms. Williams. I understand you have a few sisters of your own.
Ash:  *smiles*  I assume you learned that when you studied us before you joined up with Shepard.
Miranda:  *Shrugs*  I felt it important.  Considering the danger that humanity was in, I was actually slightly hopeful you would have joined us on Horizon.
Ash:  ...
Miranda:  Don't worry, Ms. Williams, I take no offense to the fact that you hated Cerberus and for good reason.  Shepard was sore at for you for a while.
Ash:  I can imagine.
Miranda:  Not for the reasons you think, though.  She told me once, in one of her less presentable moments, was that she wondered if you were right and that she was trying to lie to herself with all that was going on.
Ash:  For what it's worth, I'm glad you guys took out the Collectors... and I also regret not asking the Alliance for letting me help.
Miranda:  *Smiles*  We all have regrets, Ms. Williams. it's how long you're willing to let them keep you at bay before trying something that may make you feel that regret again.
Ash:  Indeed, Ms. Lawson.  And I hope this war ends so you and your sister can have some semblence of a family.  I can understand how it is when there's someone that important to you.
Miranda:  *smiles again* You have three, Ms. Williams.  I have a way to go before I can claim to have as much as you do.
Ash:  If you and your sister are happy, then I don't see the problem.
Miranda:  There isn't one, but I appreciate the sentiment.
Ash:  *nods* Take care of yourself and your sister, Ms. Lawson.  I got a feeling she's just as worried about you as you are about her.  I should know.
Miranda:  *Is about to respond, but pauses, then nods*  Thank you, Ms. Williams.
