Oh believe me I don't sit around re-playing Mass Effect cause I am trying to convince myself I could ever get with her I've never once fantasized about me and Ashley, I have had dreams before were I was Shepard and had Ashley with me on missions but never anything with me as myself. I'm not that bad! Plus I have my sights set elsewhere. But if someone with Ashley's looks and character came along I would be very interested even if they would kick my ass

I think you're focusing on the wrong things.

First of, You play Shepard. A military man who meets Ashley who is a military woman. They share that. Both of them are in the same position in life.

So if I would translate that to my life, it would be a strong woman, with a prefect amount of attitude, who could do a bad ass wheelie on her motorbike. But later the same day, she starts singing for me with an the voice of an angel as we sit in the cauch getting cozy. Just because she likes the same beautiful rockballads that I do

If I ever find someone who is close to that, then I'm definitly going for it!

Second; To translate that she's in the same position in your life. If you work in the, say bankindustry, and she does to. And you both having a hard time wih your boss. It's easer to understand each other. And easier to connect.

Yeah, but history- and science books. And it's not like she's very forward and proud about it. It's not like she would just tell you something random intressting from it. Liara only tells her knowlage when it's needed.
And tali, she has such low self esstem about her skills. It's not like if Ash would be an engineer. "Damn I'm good! This thing will do some serrius damage after I've programmed it with my programing of doom!"

Imagine if you met a girl, who would, in a cute Ash kind of way, brag/show of her engineer skills for you and be really good at it. And later the same night she would qoute beautiful novels. Wouldn't that be awesome?

My point is, Just because she isn't a military girl like Ash, she could still have her kind of personality

Can't agree with you guys. I to obsessed with details. I just notice the difference in colors between the face and the body. And I have taken noticed to that the normandy tweeks the colors a bit.. but it still doesn't look realistic.

Well this may be easy to say. But get yourself some self-esteem then. Cause I meen, If a fat friend of mine can score a nice looking girl the last time we went on a pub a few weeks ago, then so can anyone.

I've studied some stuff about meeting girls, how silly it may sound, and it helped me ALOT! I too had pretty low self-esteem before. But then I learned some very valuable stuff:
1. If you don't like yourself, you don't allow anyone else to do so either.
2. Guys are 50-100% (depending on who you are) attracted to how the girl looks and the other procents go to the personalities and behavior. Girls on the other hand, Are the total oposit, they are 50-100% attracted to te personality and behavior. It's human nature! So with the right mentality, you WILL meet some one.
3. So take a look in the mirror and start liking what you see. And if there is something you don't like, skinny, fat or whatever, do something about it.
4. (and final) It's a good thing to like yourself, since everyone spends so much time with themselfs, it's good to get something out of that relationship too


And however much it may sound like braging.. I've dated a "few" girls in my days, Even thou I'm pretty young :innocent: And I'm not perfect looking if you compare with the best looking models, but I like my looks anyhow

I could have create a whole quote tree from the various responses I have read lately but decied just ot make this a general post . First of all I have No problems with anything about ash or miri personaly dess or the way the used or didnt use thier personality sensuality or body. I thought they were both well done . 

It amazes me when I see people complaining about the way the women look or are dressed especially when referring Ash or Miri. attaire. The way Miri uses her body and sensuality is great and relistic to her  peronanlity and " real women" as well. There are real women that are alike to both ash an miri.

Really Real women do the same thing and peole talk about them the same way. "omg i can see why she ways hired ..." "i bet she was hired just for her skill". I was let go for no real reason a job years back and my replacement was a attractive female's its no secret that some women are able to use other "resources "

Look at exotic dancers and escorts. I actually have repect for the ones that willing choose to o that as a profession becase they break aways from what is " the natural order " and use thier natural gifts to make more money per hour than the average person does . The top ones could problem even match a top corp exec in pay an work less hours doing it. The 9-5 world is a slave market and i applauded anyone that free themselves of it .

Seriously the way people that complain about women being dress to sexy and using thier sexuality is amazing.

Would the complainers be happier if game companies dressed all the women in Volos type armour?

Hello Everyone, poking my head back in the ash thread. Wish I had some more Ash fic to share, but sadly I do not. Got back in to writing some farscape stuff, the only paring i like more the Shep/Ash is John/Aeryn, but fear not, for the Raider will return with a fury for all to see. and by see I mean read ofcourse. Was hoping there to be some news on the EC when I got back, guess I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, even if it will suck.

it wouldnt be the first time haha, sorry just kinda lost intrest for a while and started wrting something else for a diffrent universe. but I think I might go ahead and finish the stuff I was working on for here as well.

Yeah, a number of women here find European guys exotic. Just kills the competition for the rest of us. I rarely go for the really hot ones, they're usually dumb as bricks and have personalities as deep as a puddle. Since they're so beautiful they don't feel like they have to try very hard to attract a guy.
