I've always thought it tempting to do a paragon with a ruthless background. Basically, as you said, someone who was in over his head, or someone with a colonist background who just lost control of himself.

The idea is, it'd be roleplayed so that Shepard regretted what happened, and has spent his time since then trying to make up for it, and being afraid that he'll lose control again.

One of my FSheps is a Colonist. The only psych profile that made sense to me was Ruthless. I just headcanoned that the batarians massacred her friends and family on Mindoir and a few years later on Torfan, she saw an opportunity to avenge them and returned the favor. She was very Renegade in ME (though got Wrex to stand down and saved the Council thinking they would owe her later and she could "cash in her chips"), became more morally gray in ME2, then Paragon in ME3.

I only meant 'I'm scared' in a fearing for Shepards or Ashleys life way...by the sounds of things they'll both be lucky to survive this...foreplay
