Good game should entertain you without it and if you need to made up something yourself - that's a "credit" to developers.

Good for you. And somewhat good for me. Not because I'm satisfied, but because I won money I bet on ending quality. And if cheapskate guy sent me money himself, without reminding and without me actually seeing ending, I guess that's the answer.

"Headcanon" has nothing to do with a gun, Rudy. It's a concept of your own idea. *g*

If you create a story covering the time after ME3 including Ashley, Shepard, Garrus & co, it's your headcanon. If you imagine Ashley being a caffeine addict that loves playing old computer games, then it's headcanon since it was never stated in the game.

I enjoy games allowing me to have that freedom. Of course, the more fluff I get the easier it is to create a headcanon of a certain character. In case of Ashley it's ME1. ME3!Ashley simply doesn't give enough fluff to support my headcanon - my image of her is highly influenced by ME1!Ashley.


Is there any way to date Ashley's face model? Nevermind - she won't have Ashley's character

Hey everyone,
Long time no post. I have largely given up on this game mainly because I find it pathetic how the pride and arrogance of hudson and walters caused this whole ending debacle in the first place and the same problem caused them to go the "additional clarity and closure" route instead of fixing the crap ending. So while I am done playing it, I am curious how the "clarity" turns out. If someone can make a video of a paragon ending with Ash as love interest, and not the control or merge ending (so as to either provide a chance of being with her or sending everything up in a blazing ball of glory), I would really appreciate it.

 I think I just saw the last 2 minutes of a new ending. If it is real then it wasn't that bad. The only problem was it didn't show Ashley.

I hope I can play it in a few hours. Too bad I have to do some exercises first (distracting from the game) and my girl needs attention too - but I bed I can make it today. Shouldn't be too difficult.

There's only one thing I definitely want to know -before- I do my new attempt on the endings: does Ashley's romance get a conclusion? A "yes" or "no" is enough.
I consider the current endings as "no" conclusion.

I still don't understand the concept nor purpose. Placing existing character as "easter egg", sort of Drizzt or Elminster in Baldur's Gate, is acceptable, for example we placed characters from "official" game into our mods or used IRL person to refer to it, I hardly consider it as "headcanon".

Isn't any game gives you that freedom? Well, almost any, outside of dice poker and tetris, maybe.

Received message from that cheapskate. Couldn't stop laughing for several minutes - message beginned with phrase which could be roughtly translated as "****ing curd" and continued same manner for whole length (a page in Word, no less). Anyway, according to this message, there is no conclusion. If Shepard's breath style conclusion is enough for you - than it is. If you wanted at least something clear like ME1-2 Endings, without "hints" that something possibly maybe could happen, then no. Money from that guy hints it not conclusion.
Ah, yes, Ash is there, but all her presence is shown on those screens we already saw.
Summary - "lazy slobs" (not exactly) and something I cannot even translate.
Well, I guess ME3 will be first game for my several decades of gaming I actually request moneyback for.

 I don't have the dlc yet so I can't confirm about Ashley's romance getting a conclusion. There wasn't one in that ending on youtube.

Well, guess we should have seen it coming.

Guess EDI & Geth destruction get confirmed in the Destruction Ending, Shepard dies in all other endings and the Normandy's fate is still the same stuff like in the original endings. Someone may PM me

The new endings are okay with me. They make headcannoning a reunion much easier (less to explain away, since BW just decided to retcon certain things). Destroy actually feels like winning now.

i feel that bioware seems to have change the control ending from the worst ending to the best ending

Only if you want to be a god and determine the galaxy's direction.  I'd prefer to let the galaxy control its own fate.

They did make all three interesting and different though.

Yeah. Sorry EDI. But I simply can't take control and hope everything is going to be alright. And I won't do the synthesis-thing since that's playing God. So ... sorry EDI. I love you ...

(I still can headcanon some story that gives her a second chance 'though).


I still need to play the EC - from what I got so far the Normandy is no longer screwed, am I right?

Well...I gave into temptation and watched the endings...




SPOILERS BELOW

- Planet Incest is removed. The Normandy is no longer a wreckage and is in flyable condition
- Destroy ending doesn't mean the end of civilization as we know it
- The Citadel doesn't completely shred itself to pieces (guess which planet it now orbits)
- your LI gets to plant your name on the memorial wall
- High EMS still gets you the breath scene and nothing else..
- Rumours abound about extra scenes showing your war assets in action (can't confirm this, Kotaku commentators claim this)
- Starbrat is still there in the choice sequence...but you can refuse him (EMS determines how succesful it is, this is unconfirmed)

Its not great...but its not terrible either. I'd give it a B+. It should have been put in originally and it would have saved Bioware a lot of trouble. It fits the definition of bittersweet and the music may give rise to manly tears.

Well, it's not the best outcome but still much better as the old endings, survivor.

At least my headcanon is mostly intact, even with the new endings. I just need to change the stuff dealing with Gilligan's Planet - it's no longer necessary.

Do ALL Geth die too? I hope not - or I hope it's not shown. In that case, I can headcanon them to be alive.
