Hey CptData buddy, hope you're doing well. I'm over in Denmark so can't even play it if I wanted to, which is questionable in itself, but read on some other forums about it.

*POTENTIAL MASSIVE SPOILERS*

Apparently they added a new ending so now they are 4, the new one is basically called "refusal" and it triggers if you shoot the starbrat like so many of us have done for hours. This is where you basically pretend the whole crucible doesn't exist and let the fleets fight it out, and rumor has it no matter what you lose. As far as what many of us are hoping about, i.e., being able to have Ash and Shep together, we are screwed ("we" losely meaning people who still care, which at this point would exclude me) and all you get is her looking at a plaque with Shepard's name. Apparently if you have under 4000 EMS (which you can only get through multiplayer) she thinks twice about putting it up on the wall because she thinks he still might be alive, but if you have under that then she puts it on the wall indicating he's toast. I saw an official Bioware response detailing that part, so you still have to suspend belief that he'd survive thousands of tons of crap falling on him long enough to be saved. To me that's pathetic, casey and mac not wanting to admit they fubar'ed the ending has really crapped out this entire series, and all future bioware games for me.

And for anyone who hasn't seen it, this is the best analysis of the whole "extended cut" ending debacle.

The control ending is the most retarded and laughable ending. It's so dumb. I only like the destroy ending.
Synthesis is still garbage as well

8pm is correct. That is, IF everything goes as planned. Which is never certain considering BW's technical prowess.

Hey Igib. Glad you're back too.
If the EC is good in one thing, then it's reuniting the crowd. Too bad it won't last forever 'though :'(

What's laughable about the control ending except it doesn't make much sense?

The synthesis ending is more or less a no-go thing to me. Yeah, I do understand the concept of transhumanism and support it, however, I think that's a decision everyone should do for oneself. Shepard has no right to play God like that, 'nuff said.

I like the destroy and Synthesis endings, even though synthesis makes no sense and isn't possible I enjoyed it. Control is utter garbage, so I'm sticking with destroy as my canon ending

Still hate control as well. And I'm sure people will complain about this ending, not that I care. I got what I want, more Shepley moments

I prefer the EC so much compared to the original endings. But it had some sad parts.

I like the additional content, can't understand why it wasn't there to begin with. Love the new 4th ending and how BioWare is telling there fans here is the really bad ending we could have given you. Now just need more Ash DLC stuff for a deeper romance.

The ending wasn't what I wanted it to put it mildly. I choose destroy btw.

I played it and I prefer the EC over the original endings. I have only tried destroy and my EMS was over 7000.

Did you get a reunion scene? Because what I got was pretty bitter. Still better than what we got before, though.
