Huh. How did you get Shepard to say that stuff?

@DWH1982 I'm doing a renegade playthrough, I know when I can be renegade to Ashley in the hospital, I think you go with I don't know in dialogue choice and I think that's means a fresh start I believe. It was only yesterday night I was there, now I'm near earth again, I'm way too fast at playing mass effect and I'm being extremely slow on purpose. I even went to the shooting range just to screw around.

@Aurora, I did review your duet effect. I'm SAMGTT700, kinda wanted a wacky name but does have meaning behind it.

After playing some more of my femshep this morning, maybe it's best I don't have Ash. I'm playing as an infiltrator and Garrus, by my count, took at least 3 of my kills while I was reloading my Mantis on the past mission. Can only imagine how many Ash would be taking...

I just started my first Infiltrator game yesterday, with Ash.

That first fight on Mars, with only about 6 or 7 guys, I only got 2 kills. The rest went to Ash.

The game cheated on my however, I only had the Mantis and it gave her the N7 Valiant.

Once I got to the weapons bench and got the N7 for myself, it just about evens out with a nearly equal amount of kills each.

I can't wait to get the Black Widow and have both Garrus and Ash with me. Good times! :)

I love how Hackett tells Shepard to go unite the galaxy like its really simple and only his/her responsibility

Yeah that's the thing about an infiltrator though, I don't have to burn through my medigels to constantly revive Garrus or Liara, I can just cloak and go get them manually. Ash and James are absolute tanks though.

Giving Ash the black widow, I actually felt kind of sorry for Cerberus and the Reapers. ^_^

Definitely. Ash with unlimited ammo and her Widow modded for max damage is pretty much evil. I mean, she -really-. can do something, especially with her special skill. Plus: she can receive a punch or two, while most of the other characters except Vega have a tendency to drop when someone sneezes.

When it comes to survivability, I'd say it's pretty much like this:

- Vega
- Ashley
- ...
- Javik / Kaidan
- Garrus
- ...
- ...
- Tali / EDI
- Liara

Yeah, Liara drops even easier than Tali, and Tali already has a nasty attitude to go into close combat with her pumpgun.

// Edit

Never underestimate the N7 Valiant. That sniper rifle is pretty much a Black Widow without armor penetration a bit less damage, but it makes it up with all the extra ammo and the fact you still can drop most of the basic guys with one headshot. It even does more damage vs shields than the Black Widow. In my current playthrough, Shepard has the N7 Valiant, Ash has the Black Widow since she doesn't suffer the ammo issues.

I get more kills then Ashley, I just don't give her the Revenant anymore. She usually has the N7 valiant and a vindicator. It balances her weight well and her recharge levels are good.

Well, the way I see it. Ashley has to have a lot of stamina, needs it to keep up with a guy like Shepard, specially in their 'private training sessions'.

OH - see what I did there. Posted ImagePosted Image

Liara is pathetic. I remember I took her to Earth my first time and she must have died 6 or 7 times on the thanix missiles part alone.

I didn't take Liara anywhere I didn't need her. Only reason she was with me on Palaven and Thessia was because the game forced me. Was so relieved when I got Garrus.

Ashley didn't die once, James died twice. Even I died once (didn't realize there was two brutes behind me, had a dumb moment).

I'm on my iPad, it doesn't like editing.

It annoyed me how often she was temp squad member, I didn't like having her in my squad.

Yeah, the first time I did the Earth mission I had Liara with me. She -really- used up my medigel. The other one was, of course, Ashley. And know why I brought Liara? Thought she would do some damage against Banshees - but truth was: she did nothing except dying. Guess it was bad luck or she simply can't do anything here.

Banshees and Brutes are best dealt with brutal firepower.

When I brought Ash and Vega, Vega died once and Ash twice in the same mission. And Ash died only 'cause she got separated from me while Vega took the bullets while my Shep tried to reach Ash again. So yeah, it was kinda bad.

Ever tried to take down three brutes at the same time ALONE? I did. It was a hell of a fight.

What worries me about the proposed Levithan DLC is that it seems like a mission where it will either make sense to have Liara along, or where the game will actually mandate her to be along.

I get tired of being forced to bring Liara. It's better if I bring her because it seems like story reasons would suggest her as a good squadmate (like for her prothean knowledge), but even then... she has far too large a role in the story compared to the other squaddies.

What I don't understand is when people complain about Ash/Kaidan being "forced down their throats." It's like - the only time you need to deal with them is on Mars. After that, you can ignore them, and they can even be killed. Posted Image

I take Ashley and Vega, they clean the enemy well. Ash took a brute down by herself.

Ashley's amazing in combat. Marksman puts her above all the others. The only bad thing is that she doesn't have any good powers, but then again she's a soldier and the damage she puts down is more than enough. She nicks my kills all teh time!  She's lethal. Posted Image

Ashley was brilliant in ME combat, she didn't die once and she is pretty much the same still.

What does everyone think of this Levithan DLC?

Ashley's power is an uncanny ability to tear through enemies when using the revenant.

She doesn't need much of anything else.

The people who really only complain about Ash being shoved down their throats - are the one's who romanced her in 1 and moved on in 2.

There's a simple a way to solve this... DON'T ROMANCE HER. Or you know, since you now hate her for calling you out on your back stabbing ways on Horizon - pick the renegade options.

Sheesh.

I hope that Liara is not required for any DLC AGAIN. Pleaseeeeeeee have mercy on meh... D:

Then you have the people who just plain hate her for no reason, my mate dislikes her but he won't say why... He is considered a moron at the moment until he gives a good reason.

My little sister is awesome, she loves Ashley. She even got her printed onto a poster, in her blue armor. She got it designed by an artist for her birthday.

I think it sounds very interesting. It's something I would buy, and if it adds more Ashley content - WIN WIN.

Which... seems likely.

List of Bioware story DLC for ME3:

~Leviathan: Help Liara investigate a renegade Reaper.
~Take back Omega: Help Liara help Aria take back Omega.
~Romance DLC: Adds a full extra 60 minutes to the Liara romance. Ash fans get an extra line of auto-dialouge for when Ash is out of things to say on the Normandy.
~Save Feron: Rescue Feron and a Shadow Broker team from overwheliming Reaper forces. Provides extra insight into what Liara has been doing as Shadow Broker between ME2 and ME3.
~Liara errand DLC: Shepard helps out Liara by running her errands on the Citadel - picking up her dry cleaning, buying groceries, etc.

Keep in mind out of the bunch of characters, only Vega, EDI and Liara are guaranteed to be alive at that point. And it does make sense to set a fixed character for that mission to save dialogue lines since the set squadmate will have most lines and the other one you can pick will contribute only a few. Pretty much like in the Cerberus HQ: EDI has more lines than Ash - and Ash shares her lines with other characters in the same situation (Shepard's reconstruction logs).

So economical-wise it makes sense to set a fixed squadmate. And given the fact BW really loves Liara, I can see her being that fixed squadmate. It's annoying, not 'cause it's Liara, but because it means I have less options to do the job.
Plus: Liara is simply not that useful in combat. I love to bring sheer firepower over fancy biotic magic.

I dislike how:
Liara's forced down my throat,
how I'm forced to be her friend,
how in ME1 my renegade response rejecting her feelings doesn't even register.
That I can't tell her to man the frak up after Thessia considering its the Asari's own goddamned fault.
How I can't side with Javik when she confronts him afterwards.
How she gets to mope and whine while Shepard literally watched his world go from pristine and civil, to shattered and chaotic in less than ten minutes, had to leave his mentor and quite-possibly father figure behind to fight a hopeless battle while Shepard is bitterly forced into gathering reinforcements.
And how her characterisation seems to jump all over the place.

If anything, the goddamned human squadmates deserve a DLC!
