i love how bioware made ash pretty much the only other squadmate in 2 games other than wrex who can survive a hit from a thresher maw on foot.

well it was more of a "what would you give ashley in ME3" rather than what she did in ME1. yeah she was a beastly tank in ME1.

i was personally thinking a set-up like zaeed's in ME2, an ammo ability, concussive shot, crazy awesome passive, and a grenade of some sort?

ah, my mistake for skimming. I want to giv eher the revenant in ME3. my soldier femshep (who I have modded to romane her) would give Ashley everything she had (collossus armor, spectre weapons and the same upgrades and powers) so they'd be an unstoppable, hyper lethal, wave of desctruction.

Hmm.. I'm mostly the opposite. I save Ash because I like her and find her useful. In all but my Soldier Shep run, she was a major groudside squadie. If I wanted biotics (assuming I wasn't one myself) I tended to look to Wrex or Liara, Garrus or Tali (or more likely myself) for the tech. Kaidan was actually one of the least used squadmates in all of my games. *shrugs*

As far as their ME3 iterations... I think I'd prefer Ash powers line to be close to Zaeed's. She a gun-bunny and she admits that's about all she knows (in her self-doubt dialoge point in ME1). For comparing her usfulness to the mission, I always want a combat focused specialist on my team in ME2, though usually it's me, if Miranda's viable, then that's two combat heavies to watch her back.

Ash is a total tank.  Aside from her heavy armor and shields - IMMUNITY BABY!

Meh, not a fan of Ash having the revenant... I think she'd prefer something powerful, but something that also has accuracy (unlike the revenant)... like the mattock.
