I don't think there will be a fight. More like a "How could you? I thought I meant more to you than that." line. That will make you feel like a big jerk.

well to play devils advocate, Shepard died. It's not heating just starting anew realtionship, but of course feelings linger so some peoplemight take it that way.

But he's the same person, born from the same mum, same life, same memories, and that means same relationship. By your analogy it's like saying Miranda is Shepards new mum, lol. It might have been two years, but to Shepard it was just like two days.

You're right She is the same,but the galaxy aroundher isn't. Ashleymoved in, so did Kaidan, the onlyone it's really cheating on is Liara because she KNOWS Shepard's being revived so she waits. Kaidan has drinks with a doctor and Ashleydoes...something I think,  it's been a while  since i saw her post horizon email. If not she's been praying for Shepard's soul since you know, she's dead. "meat and tubes" as Jacob put it.

I think her anger with Shepard on Horizon showed she didn't move on aswell, otherwise she would have behaved less emotional, I think.

I hope their relationship evolves into a kind of awkward 'professional' situation if you cheated and a reluctance to chat and Shep's gotta prove his love to her.

praying for god to take careof someone's soul IS moving on. She prayed for her father and shepard's soul because she's religious, not because she can't "quit" them. at least that's how I see it sine hanging onto the past would hold her back.

It's impossible to cheat on a dead person. If you could widows and widowers couldn't have any more spouses or date. Even if she dted someone aftr Horizon it's not cheating because Shepard was dead and they'd been "broken up" for longer than they even dated. Now she might have conflicted feelings but its not cheating either way even if the game mechanic says it's cheating.

Atually the anger was more for the Cerberus thing. If you aren't with them then it's all hunky dory but when you say "Cerberus rebuilt me" that's when she and Kaidan back off and get angry.

Yes I know you cant, but you miss my point, Shepards alive now, he and Ash never broke up, he is aware of this, and ofcourse if Ash see's he's got a new partner she would be deeply hurt knowing that from the Normandy blowing up to Shepard being brought back alive was like five minutes to Shepard, whilst it was two years of her mourning him. Yes it might not be called cheating, but there should be consequences for it,m as she took two years mourning Shepard, and he jumps into bed with someone else five minutes after he seen her last (in his mind}

That's a valid point, but still, The moment is simply too short to perfectly judge what she was really thinking/feeling, well she was hurt, but who wouldn't be in her case over their relationship or not. It's hard to say untill ME3, in my opinion.

This sounds like the castaway scenario where it's "I thought you were dead so I moved on" and such. Sure shepard's death was five minutes to her, but she's got to realize that two years has passed and adapted, so no matterhow hurt they'd be it's not cheating. Death was the break up, so it's actually not being faithful it's getting back together after death broke you up is what I'm trying to say.

actually it sort of is. Kaidan and Ashley react the same way to the Cerberus revelation whether they're romanced or not. it's the same backing away and "you betrayed the Alliance" and all that jazz. All the rage is directed at Cerberus on Horizon.

Feelings can be between Ex's but they aren't together.  Also she ould have dated after Horizon becuase Shepard had changed to someone she couldn't recognize. She works for a terroist  for petes sake so I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we had to rebuild the relationship during ME3 even if we want it to just pik up where it left off, that'd be the opposite of what we want and that's character development.

I feel like some of the anger is directed at Shep for choosing to stay with Cerberus.
The letter does indeed show that she didn't move on. Especially since she only sends it when you romanced her.

the can't lose you thing is Shepard dying once more. In my opinion at least, this letter hsould hav ebene sent to all Shepard's, romanti or platonic alike, because without it, it makes it seem like the VS doesn't are about Shepard if they didn't sleep together before Ilos which we know isn't true.

Another thing I wonder is how an unromanced VS feels about Shepard being back sine you know thre's no letter. They're just up in the air with no response or correspondance to Shepard, like a blank slate.

Well I hope there is no fight.  I maintain that some sort of cat fight would be classless and ridiculous and it might make me break my game in half and boycott all Bioware products henceforth.

Everyone is way too mature for high school bull sh*t.

At most it will probably be a "you're gonna have to choose" scenario.  But hopefully if you've already moved on from Ash she'll just give you the "well that sucks but hey whatever" and then be over it.
