Hey guys, next chapter of Siege of Shanxi is up. Just putting it out there, but
has anyone noticecd any sort of particular quirks that I could write into
General Williams' character? A small twitch or particular way of walking that
Ash has that I haven't noticed?
Also, got sworn into Australian Army Reserves yesterday as a Rifleman (343).
Got to report to my company next Tuesday for the start of my training.
Congratulations man. I remember my first day of basic training...it
didn’t go so well.
Word of advice, just get through the first week and take
nothing personal. They are there to break you down and build you back up.
On Liara: Liara reminds me of a RL friend I have. She asked
me out in grade 6 and I turned her down. Since then, she has had feeling for
me. I am simply not interested in her. Every time I spend some time together,
she gets the idea that I somehow want to go out and asks me. I’ve said no every
time. And, all throughout high school, I had her friends trying to get us
together. (So Bioware fits their role). Thing is, a lot of people know about
it, that I haven’t even told them. Hell, I was at a mess party, and my buddy came up
to me and asked, “do you know M?” I answered yes, and told me that her
boyfriend and her were having a fight...over me!!!! But, I can live with it. I like her, I have things in common, and she is
a nice person, but just not interested, even though she still has feeling for
me. So, in conclusion, she is my RL Liara! It fits perfectly.

Bioware isn't going to do a DLC that everyone can't play. It's as simple
as that.
How about this - if the VS survivor is dead, you can still do the mission, but
the outcome is far worse.
For example, if the mission involved the VS' old unit getting into trouble
rescuing a colony, you still get the mission to rescue the unit. But, the unit
is led by someone who distrusts you for your Cerberus background, and only with
the VS along to smooth things over can you get them to trust you.
Without the VS, you can't successfully get the unit to follow your orders, they
get into more trouble, and they all die. This leads to you also being unable to
succesfully rescue all of the colonists, because forces on the planet have been
substantially reduced.
At the end of the mission, you'd still get war assets, but the total number
would be reduced. Say, ordinarily you'd get the VS's old unit, but they're
unavialble now. And maybe the colonists have some sort of critical skill, but
since fewer of them survived, they provide less EMS.
If done right, having a deceased VS would just put a different (sader, more
difficult) spin on the mission.
Good points and ideas. However, being professional soldiers,
her squad would follow Cmdr Shepard orders. They aren’t mercs or pirates. But,
they would treat Shepard differently. For instance, have her former soldiers
**** at Shepard for shooting her and just being a bunch of dicks to you if you
do so. Hey, even have the Platoon Guide jack you up for killing her, and flat
out telling the player that he doesn’t like Shepard, since Miss Williams was
loved by her soldiers (also, make him/her a Star of Terra recipient). The opposite if she is at Shepards side. Either
way, you get to learn what happened to them between ME1 and 2, and the
promotion gets explained.
Same goes for Kaidan, but with his Biotic commandos. You can
also include a conversation after the mission is complete, such as with Liara
in the Shadow Broker and more sexytimes too.

Ash/Kaiden content, wether outside the game or inside the game. He basically
said something like 'yes it is possible if fans show there is demand for it.'

There you go, you want more VS content, show it. Talk to writers via twitter
(most of them are very friendly and polite), talk to Jessica Merizan, post your
suggestions on BSn topics etc etc...

would be left out of it since they had their chance and time in ME3. I bet if a
romance DLC came out they wouldn't leave Liara or team dextro out of it though,
that's for sure.
The VS fans get neglected by other fans, ignorant journalists and the actual
developers themselves. It's the way it always has been.
Then, we have to do something about that. If Kaidan fans can
influence Bioware to make him bi in ME3, then we can certainly make some noise.
We just aren’t loud enough.
Where is our knight in shining armour, who can unite the fan
base and lead them to victory?

Christ, what is with Ash fans and joining the army/navy/RAF? It's like we lose
somebody every month lol
I admit, I've been tempted myself...
You don't have to worry about me BE, cause I am already in the Army. Have been
for 2 and a half years.
