This, so much this.  I never understood the logic of running towards the armed nuclear device.  Perhaps all of my Shepards just share a bit of my cowardice?

Voted, said Vega had to be a LI and Ashley needed more content. Miranda too, but mainly Ashley.

My Shepard has ran towards the bomb a few times, he's a little insane.

Could be both. I colour SoT as highest award in Alliance, thus only those completed something really "special" should be awarded - no heroic cow milking or something.

The thing is, the interaction would also be based upon the Paragon and Renegade dialouge options that players could take. I even want a renegade interupt to be thrown in there. [/quote]

To be honest, I never undestood that two-colour-coded behavior. Even before DEHR.
And sometimes I fail to see how and why some decisions are considered to be paragon and some renegade. I guess their moral system is about is developed as financial (which doesn't).

Dunno, I don't have access to PP. But IIRC Ash was PG only on Basic, which means little, I think - we all passed through short-term "leadership" position.

Filled out the survey. Man, I spent a good 70% of that clicking "did not romance". Sigh, I really should try romancing someone other than Ash or Miranda (that one time)...

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Requested MOAR Ash and Miri, and said I'd prolly enjoy if Jack got more time (like her character, but just as friends).

Added Romance-DLC Virmire mission to my thread ...

Priority: Virmire

@Badpie

I dunno - Shepard won't sacrifice Ashley to save the rest of the crew - he rather would sacrifice himself to save the crew AND Ashley. Just my interpretation.

Apple pie? We're not talking about a 10 year old sex joke, do we?

Ashley: Hey Skip ...
Shepard: Ash - just a few. Need to finish that first.
Ashley: It's important.
Shepard: Hmm, okay. What is it?
Ashley: Well ... I wondered how your first time was ... uhhmm ... yeah.
Shepard: Apple Pie.
Ashley: Huh?
Shepard: Nevermind. It was with Apple Pie - that was the girl's nickname. When I turned sixteen - and she was the older sister of my best friend. Already at College. Her birthday present. *cough*
Ashley: Oh .... so it was not romantic and love?
Shepard: Not really. It was more a friends with benefits thing ... yeah. And since you started it - what was your first?
Ashley: Uhh ... technically ... yeah, it was pretty much before I went to the Army. Literally. The neighbor's son had something for me and guess he panicked ...
Shepard: Doesn't sound romantic either.
Ashley: Guess "first times" aren't supposed to be romantic.
Shepard: Nah. At least we have plenty of time to get in touch with romantic moments.
Ashley: We would if you hadn't the nasty habit to destroy every single of those moments, Skipper ...
Shepard: Give me some time and I can do it.
Ashley: I believe you.
Shepard: I love you, Ash ...
Ashley: I love you too ...
Shepard: Do you wanna know how Apple Pie got her name?
Ashley: Romantic moment - Shepardized.

Cheers Example, only problem is I'm very busy later tonight and tomorrow night so I might have to wait until Sunday but thanks for the code.

Ashley and Garrus would be my ideal squad in ME3 aswell but I just don't want Garrus taking all the dialogue!

Anyone else think Horizon in ME3 was a wasted opportunity?

I'm talking in the VS DLC thread about the need to use the DLC to explore what the VS did between ME1 and ME3. And it just now it hit me - we should have gotten that chance on Horizon.

When I went down to Horizon, I wasn't expecting to land at Sanctuary. I was expecting to land at the colony from ME2, to get the chance to interact with the locals, find out about their recovery from the Collector Attack, ask them about Sanctuary (their opinion, odd happenings, etc), see if any of the colonists remember Ash, and maybe interact with Ash about her time on Horizon and her history in the Alliance. After exploring the main colony, I expected to get into a vehcile and transit to Sanctuary - perhaps after it's unlocked by accomplishing something at the main colony.

Instead it cut straight to Sanctuary, so it could resolve the story arc with Miranda's father in perhaps the briefest and most dissipointing way possible.

Yea it would have been great but I've got to the stage now when all these missed opportunities just go over my head cause there are so many of them in ME3.

I'd have loved to have gone to the colony and heard what they had to say and maybe hear some comments about people appreciating Ash's help etc then have a convo with her. But I was even hoping just on Sanctuary to have more dialogue with her but alas...

Bioware missed a golden opportunity though. They could have included Delan being on Sanctuary or something, hiding in a corner again. LOL

I just have to shake my head at how they resolved the thing with Miranda's father, as well. We get to interact with him for what - a minute? Unless I'm mistaken, we never even find out which business he runs.

Kinda dumb that they made his last name Lawson, as well. Miranda would have changed her last name when she ran away and joined Cerberus. Based on the SB profile on Miranda, I honestly expected her father's last name to be either "Eldfell" or "Ashland."

Since we never get canon info on Henry Lawson's business, I just head canon him as a "silent" partner with Eldfell and Ashland. So he's still a bigwig at Eldfell-Ashland Energy.

Anyway, none of that is related to Ash, I guess, except that it's another way the characters got shorted, like them not giving us any real info on what Ash was involved with between ME1 and ME3. Was hoping that they'd establish Ash and her unit as investigating the Reapers for the Alliance and Anderson, so we could throw it back at people who say that Ash wasn't doing anything to help out.

Miranda comes second to Ash as my favorite female character and LI, and I actually feel insulted with how they handled her character in ME3. Its so half fast (even more so than Ashley's story arc) and feels more like a cameo than anything else. Mirimances...now you have some idea how us Ashmancers felt during ME2.

Also, does the original Shadow broker's character files have any information on Ash or Kaidan. I don't remember there being any.

@BP93: I would have had to pause the game so that I could laugh until I was all out of breath and tears if Delan had been there. Especially if Ash made some sort of comment like, 'Oh don't worry, we're not here to save you. I know how you feel about the Alliance. There are some Cerberus soldiers behind us though....'

@DWH: Yeah, I wanted Miranda's dad to be more... villainous. classy, James Bond villainous. He wasn't even wearing a suit! Or facial hair! Evil goatee FTW!

Edit: @Spitfire: Nope, no SB files on the VS.

Spitfire, I like Miranda as a character and do agree she seems to get badly brushed over in ME3. But I wasn't a huge fan of her as a LI in ME2. I did one play through when I romanced her and I just felt like something was lacking. One reason I really love the Ashley romance is that there is humour throughout and Ash can be very funny but I just never got that same fun feeling about Mirandas romance.

As I said though I do feel bad for Miranda or Miranda fans in ME3 cause her role was minimal at best, but as you say I suppose that's how Ash fans felt in ME2

And when does our thread become spoiler unfree again? The EC is out globally now is it not?

Of course. The guy I want to jack up Shepard would no longer be in his prime, but was one of the first recipients of the award in his early days. Like Shepard, he was a hero.

I thought the Miranda character got unique treatment in ME3. Like, she's around far more than any other ME2 specific character (except EDI I guess) and has a game-long arc, but she still gets the short shrift compared to the squademate characters. And honestly, I would have expected her to be one of the squaddies at least since she was like the central squademate from ME2.

A Miri/Ash squad would have been my favorite. Not because they're hot, but because Ash is a great soldier and Miri has that "Make everyone else better" skill.

Plus they could have had some fun dialogue, if they'd ever met...

Audio Transmission Transcript- Alliance Interrogation Room, Arcturus Station

Major Oreilly Janson: Correct me if I’m wrong. You mean to tell me that you saw a dead man in the flesh, walk up to you and have a friendly chat?

Operations Chief Ashley Williams: I wouldn’t call it friendly. But yes, I saw Shepard in the flesh and I talked to him.

OJ: Now it says here that he was in the presence of Cerberus operative and a Turian. How sure are you of this?

AW: You could spot her a mile away. Wearing some latex costume with the logo bright as day on it!

OJ:
What did Shepard say?

AW: That Cerberus “rebuilt” him and that they were investigating the colony dissapareances as well..why are you asking me this? Its in the damn report!

OJ: Since when do Turians accompany Cerberus operatives?

AW: If you know him, like I do, you'd understand. He's loyal to Shepard...not Cerberus!

OJ: Are you loyal to Shepard?

AW: Sir, I tool the oath of loyalty to the Systems Alliance the day I got my rifle. I know where my loyalties lie..

OJ: Do your loyalties entail you embracing a dead man and a suspected Cerberus agent!

AW: ……

OJ:
What was the nature of your relationship with Shepard?

AW:
It was..is proffessional...I think.

OJ: You think?

AW: I know.

OJ:….That will be all Operations Chief. You may return back to the Shanghai. You are to restrict all communication with Commander Shepard until we say so. Dismissed

AW: Sir.

Intercepted Post Mission Debrief re: Operation Hammerdawn

Sirs,

If there is one thing I must make clear in my report, its this. The survival and success of Second Platoon, is due to the Operations Chief Ashley Williams heroic actions. It was due to her leadership that the platoon was able to rally together and accomplish the objective, despite the loss in formal leadership.

Regarding the suspected “murder” of Lt. Sasha Makarov, I can assure Williams acted in the best interests of Charlie Platoon. The deceased Makarow was a Cerberus operative and had access to suspected Reaper technology. I defer to William’s expertise, as she has the most experience with regards to Reaper technology.

While the destruction of the reaper technology may come as a blow the boys in RnD, let me assure you the alternative could and would have been far worse.

In conclusion, I firmly defend Operations Chief Ashley Williams’ actions during the operation. Williams is and always will be an asset to the Systems Alliance military.

Sincerely

Major Suresh Koshy

Charlie Company. 182nd Airborne Battalion
