Vega just doesn't seem right for Ash.

Not sure how far apart they really are age wise, but Vega doesn't seem mature enough. They're just not at the same place in their lives.

Well Example, my Shepard knows how he feels about Ashley he just isn't 100% sure about Ashley's feelings to him (because of Horizon in ME2) untill the date scene so that's why he's wanting to make sure James wasn't trying anything.

If these rumours about James and Ash are true then it's just another BW cheesing up ME by making every character end up getting off with someone. Cause if Ash is unromanced, assume Liara is the LI then Tali+Garrus, Ash+James(not yet proved) and EDI+Joker.

Yeah, it seems a bit off. Judging by when it got posted to the Wiki, it would've been included in the EC. The MEWiki is also pretty strict as to what gets allowed to be posted. If it was included in the EC, there was absolutely no time for Ash & James to get together, unless it occurs immediately post-Cronos when you get a chance to say one last goodbye to everyone (I've only done the EC once so far and that was with my Ashleymancer as I wanted to be able to bring my LI to the beam and see the new "goodbye" scene and didn't want to bring Liara there).

Yeah, I agree. I felt the same about Kaidan and Ashley in ME1.

Nor do I think Vega would give Ash what she deserves or really give her the happiness she wants. They don't have the history that ties them together like Shepard and Ash. He's young, restless, and I know Vega has no plans to be held down. He's going to leave, join the N7 program and do his own thing after the reapers.

The only way it would work for me, is if Vega and Ash met up again say... 5 -8 years later or something. But Vega pegs me as the type who loves them and leaves them.

Which might explain why he won't hook up with FShep. He's not looking for something long-term but would feel really bad about having just a fling with her.

That's the way I see it too.

But... I don't understand why Bioware would add something like that with the EC. It makes no sense. Ash is available to romance after the drunk scene as well. It just doesn't add up.

There should be a video of it, and I searched and searched and... nothing. I don't believe it.

Totally agree about the big sister/little brother vibe, especially on missions it stands out. I laughed the first time I took Ash and James to the turian bomb mission and all of a sudden Ash blurts out "Get your game face on Lieutenant" and Vega just replies "Yes, ma'am"..

Noah, he's not a Jacob. Vega doesn't wander into relationships or commit himself to them. He manages to flirt, have fun, but stay clear of them. 'Cause when he 'commits to something. He fully commits' - his flirting attempts with Femshep is just him joking around. You would know if he was serious.

His work will always come first. It's what he wants to do.

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense. Actually, the original Widow is sheer overkill. I'm mostly using sniper guns in the ME trilogy, so I know what I'm talking about: sometimes it's better to quick-kill numerous foes with precise strikes. You know, I still use the N7 Valiant since it comes with three shoots instead of one and can dispatch smaller enemies within seconds.
The Widow, despite being my favorite in ME2, is too slow and shouldn't be used against anything with shields and low health. Shields, because 80% of the damage or so gets removed. Low health - well, a grunt with 500 health is "overkilled" by a Widow.
Therefore, the Black Widow is a better weapon (especially vs armored guys) - or the N7 Valiant for nearly any situation.

But I think you wanted to point out the fact why a heavy pistol can do nearly the same damage as the Black Widow per shoot? Don't ask me. It doesn't make sense. However, I usually use my N7 Valiant together with the Carnifex. The Carnifex got Armor Penetration and extra damage, so I can take out any armored guys while the Valiant is for the weaker enemies.

By the way: a >30kg heavy gun simply shouldn't have that much recoil. Except it's accellerating a 5cm bullet.

Also, why the hell "ultra-light materials" on SMG have no effect on other weapon's parameters? Such as kick or muzzle flip.

Don't ask me. An SMG with 10% weight of the original one without ultra-light materials shouldn't be controllable anymore. Try to drive a car with 100 PS that suddenly lost 90% of its mass - from 1.4tons down to 140Kilos. You'll fail ...

It's not that it's going to break anything or makes Shepard look like a wimp if we add that little idea to the lore. After all, we already -have- to tweak and fix the lore to make Project Phoenix working, so ... yeah, you get it.

Actually, I was only trying to solve the weight issue. Try to carry 150 kilos of equipment, try to run, try to climb, try to jump. You won't do that. You can do it only if your high tech 22nd century heavy armor helps you a lot.

Technically, such armor should also be able to reduce recoil ...

I have impression, that ME armour is something of a hybrid between biker protection, hockey player protection and riot police suit protection, only made from other materials, allowing them to effectively hermetically seal suit. Soft layer does most of the job, while hard layer work mostly as blunt trauma protector and low velocity objects (stones, debris, minor shrapnel. And they are not that superb - Shepard's suit was ruptured.

Well, as far as I know a mass accelerated projectile is much faster than a today-bullet and much smaller too. It would pull a massive hole in any unprotected flesh and kill instantly.
However, the armor is able to protect its wearer. The "health bar" doesn't really show you the amount of holes your body already got, but the amount of bruises. It's indeed all about trauma, but we're not talking about flesh wounds or something.

However, Shepard lost his armor in the endings and when Marauder Shields hit him, Shepard INDEED acted as if the bullet penetrated his flesh and didn't get blocked by the armor.

Just my theory.

And now don't ask me why Ashley can take hits like hell in her catsuit. I found a way to avoid that issue: she usually has her armor in my missions.
