Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

Ashley: Skipper? What are you doing?
Shepard: Isn't it obvious, taking a photo.
Ashley: Why?
Shepard: Because you're beautiful. You need another reason?
Ashley: No, I guess not.

Shepard: She's beautiful, Ash.
Ashley: She is beautiful.
Shepard: We made a good looking kid. I know people say that, but this is one great looking girl. She's got mummy's looks.
Ashley: And Daddy's eyes.
Shepard: Heh. Beautiful baby girl. If she's anything like you, then I'm gonna be in trouble.
Ashley: Or who knows, she might grow up very similiar to her daddy.
Shepard: Oh dear god, I hope not!
Ashley: *chuckles*

Same for me. They have a son and then two years later a daughter. Both kids have blue eyes like Daddy Shep.

I can cook. And I can look like a guy that works while not working.
I want to say one thing, but really don't want to offend you, since I have suspicion that you will take it as offense.
CptData wrote...
Yeah, that doesn't make much sense.
"Finally! Someone else who see!"
CptData wrote...
Actually, the original Widow is sheer overkill.
Wake up, it's AMR, it should be overkill.
CptData wrote...
The Widow, despite being my favorite in ME2, is too slow and shouldn't be used against anything with shields and low health. Shields, because 80% of the damage or so gets removed. Low health - well, a grunt with 500 health is "overkilled" by a Widow.
And as AMR Widow should one-shot anything except big-game. Even Phantoms. Only brutes, banshees, harvesters, Atlases and Primes should be able to survive. It's ****ing AMR after all. It designed to destroy vehicles.
CptData wrote...
Therefore, the Black Widow is a better weapon (especially vs armored guys) - or the N7 Valiant for nearly any situation.
Nuh-uh. Valiant is better in any situation. As long as you have ammo, because that crippled supply is only weak point in that great rifle.
CptData wrote...
But I think you wanted to point out the fact why a heavy pistol can do nearly the same damage as the Black Widow per shoot?
Not entirely. Energy propelling projectile should be equal to energy that pushes weapon back. So, if to compensate 1000 points of damage (since kinetic energy is unknown) you need 40 kg, how come you can compensate 400 points of damage with 12 kg?
Law of energy conservation just went out to smoke.
CptData wrote...
Don't ask me. It doesn't make sense.
Riiight. One of many things that doesn't makes sense. So why we should try to fix that via power armour, not via fixing damn ****ing guns themselves?
Plus, two mods - barrel extention and AP mod. What they do? BE increases velocity and increases it so much, so overall damage could be 25% more while AP mod somehow affect kinetic coils, that projectile got increased penetration? How? Not via same velocity increase?
CptData wrote...
However, I usually use my N7 Valiant together with the Carnifex. The Carnifex got Armor Penetration and extra damage, so I can take out any armored guys while the Valiant is for the weaker enemies.
What? Valiant is more powerful than Carnifex. And with Valiant Accuracy, minor climb and speed you can cut through most enemies like hot omni-blade through omni-butter. Seriously, that gun blurs differences between narrative and insanity. Only big game gives you trouble.
CptData wrote...
By the way: a >30kg heavy gun simply shouldn't have that much recoil. Except it's accellerating a 5cm bullet.
We don't know exact kinetic energy of a gun. But if all guns rely on hyper-velocty of their projectiles, because projectiles' mass is too low... Here is another question - should we take ME2 50 m/s projectiles velocity as canon and ME3 100 m/s as another canon? Because with such velocity... You know. You can't damage anything with "grain of sand.
CptData wrote...
Don't ask me. An SMG with 10% weight of the original one without ultra-light materials shouldn't be controllable anymore.
I just imagine - one shot from Hurricane>critical mission failure, because Shepard is killed by his own SMG, whacked him in face.
CptData wrote...
Try to drive a car with 100 PS that suddenly lost 90% of its mass - from 1.4tons down to 140Kilos. You'll fail ...
Not sure for 1400 kg, but I was in car that, well, it was special NBC vehicle, cistern, contained decontamination solution. And as we were riding, that cistern just fell off from chassis.
CptData wrote...
Actually, I was only trying to solve the weight issue.
Now I see where from all those jokes on German technical complexity came from...
Why solve weapon weight issues via armour and not via correcting weapon stat itself?
CptData wrote...
Technically, such armor should also be able to reduce recoil ...
How? It gives your upper torso impulse toward front each time you bend your trigger finger? And what if you want to scratch your nose?
CptData wrote...
Well, as far as I know a mass accelerated projectile is much faster than a today-bullet and much smaller too. It would pull a massive hole in any unprotected flesh and kill instantly.
Jack dismiss that theory!
CptData wrote...
However, Shepard lost his armor in the endings and when Marauder Shields hit him, Shepard INDEED acted as if the bullet penetrated his flesh and didn't get blocked by the armor.
IIRC there are pools of blood, if you got your Shepard hit into his stringy meat, not in shield or armour. So I guess bullets cut through. Like Phantom's swords or Banshee's fists. And ordinary beating... Hey, it's like Dark forces 2!
CptData wrote...
And now don't ask me why Ashley can take hits like hell in her catsuit. I found a way to avoid that issue: she usually has her armor in my missions.
Well, for that same reason I choose to don helmets on everyone. Liara in her oxygen mask looks totally out of place everywhere.
- It's not fart room, Liara, it's battlefield! Don this helmet now!
- Goddess, he care about me! Marry me, Shepard!
CptData wrote...
Lack of ideas, I fear. *sigh*
Then what's the point?

Thanks for checking, Td. I was wondering myself why I never got that in one of my playthroughs. Well... so much for Ash leaving her room.
Looks like Ash gets no love if she doesn't romance Shepard, same goes for Liara or Kaidan.
Well, the original LIs are more or less only interested in Shepard. Hang on ...
=== FEMSHEP ===
Kaidan: Uhh ... hey. I want you.
Shepard: Well, whatever. I think you fit well to me. Be my asset.
Kaidan: That's not very romantic, Shepard.
Shepard: Sorry. I just want that sexy chunk of meat you are. Meet me in my cabin. Five minutes.
Liara: Shepard ... I could show you my world. Just need to do another mindmeld session.
Shepard: Again? What about scissors?
Liara: I don't get that one.
Shepard: Then it's time to learn it.
Shepard: You and me. 8 pm, my cabin. Be naked.
Ashley: You didn't get the essential part to get my interest.
Shepard: I do have a double-ender.

Shepard: Ash! We need to talk.
Ashley: Sure, what's the matter Skipper?
Shepard: You need to stop wearing that damned catsuit!
Ashley: If you're trying to seduce me, that's not gonna work skipper.
Shepard: No. I mean in battle. Stop wearing that goddamned thing!
Ashley: And why the hell should I?
Shepard: Because as much as I love staring at that perfectly toned ass of yours, I would really rather not be distracted from dodging bullets! I died once, and it was hard enough to come back the first time!
Ashley: Gez Skipper, but a girl dinner first.
Shepard: Fine! Then I'll do that then!
Ashley: Maybe you should!
Shepard: Maybe I will!
Ashley: Apollo's cafe! Next time we're on the Citadel!
Shepard: See you there!
*both walk away angry and fumming.*
James: ... What just happened?
Garrus: I have no idea. Human courtship has always been a little weird to me.

And I'm a fan of the Valiant. Since I got her for the MP mode, I only use this sniper rifle - even without armor penetration. For the penetration I have my Carnifex - and it does a decent job vs those shielded Guards. That's why its a bit more powerful than the Valiant - but not more powerful than a Widow.
Wha'ever. And yes, we Germans are complicated people - especially the women. =)

Mass Effect: Rejection
Ashley: No. No means no - even in your language.
Shepard: I'm just trying. So no date for you and me?
Ashley: Nope. I'm not into girls.
Shepard: That's sad. Really, really sad, since I am.
Ashley: Last time I checked, Liara looks like a woman. Why not giving a try?
Shepard: Because I can't sail her boat ...
Ashley: Never should have started with the "Skipper" nickname.
Shepard: *snickers* Yeah. It gave me the idea you want more.
Ashley: Do you always think people want more if they give you a nickname?
Shepard: Yeah ...
Joker: Hey Boobie!
Shepard: Except the offending ones.
Garrus: Hey, Ash, who's the flexible one next to you?
Ashley: The Commander.
Garrus: Didn't recognize her ... sorry, Ma'am.
Ashley: Maybe the Commander should put on her uniform again ...
Shepard: The regulations don't say Nudist ships are not allowed!
Joker: Can't ... breath!

And it depends how long the crew needed to repair crashlanded!Normandy. Would say, within a month or two, they not only returned to Earth but also found Shepard who's already recovering his wounds. It won't take forever. And yeah, Ash needs to wait for reunion love. Shep is noway near in condition for exercises ^^
