Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

Yeah, I think that Shepard doesn't seem to mind. And Ash just pulls him by the waistband of his pants, I honestly laughed and thought 'Guess I know whose boss in this ship.'

@Aurora; Haha yeah. It's still a sneaky move. And.. it seems that way alright. That, and she basically wrestled him to the bottom to prove it lol. Eh. It's not like Shepard minds it though, right?

Unlike Liara, Kaidan, Miranda, etc.... Ashley is the one waiting for Shepard to get in bed.
Ashley doesn't come to you.... YOU come to her. (Just like she says in ME1)

Kaidan I didn't mind that much, I thought it was rather heartwarming that he actually sits you down and said 'I have feelings, and I would like more' then lets you reciporcate or shoot him down gently (I never could because he's so adorable.). What gets me is Liara always tries to get in your pants, even while you're in a committed realtionship. I know it's not entirely her fault because she's the writer's pet, but it pisses me off.

That's a very hot way to look at it.
I thinks it's fair play, really. Give and take. There are times that we see in ME1 & 3 when Ash happily let's Shepard get his moment of control. There's no complete dominance on both sides.
I'm still curious as to how much the writers wrote of that. They did fit the scene to the characters anyway.

Ashley gets want she wants and she could easily use sex against manshep to get her way but she isn't a bltch so I'm sure it would only be a joke.
But as we have seen in ME3 everybody loves having sex with their clothes still on.

Shepard: ... Where's Ashley?
Aurora: Why?
Shepard: I feel the deep-seeded need for a hug.

Yeah, Ash is such a racist. She agreed with Terra Firma and joined their little cult. Back on the Normandy, she showed no sympathy to Liara for losing her mother, so she set fire to Liara while she was sleeping, and kicked in Tali's helmet for her race building the Geth.

And guys wonder why I find her sexy. I love this dominant gal. Seriously. She's the perfect equal to Shepard - now in ranks too. She's a Lt. Cmdr., he is. She's a Spectre, he is. She's kicking royally ass, that's his job too. Ashley is pretty much a female Shepard in playthroughs without fem!Shep. Or she's fem!Shep's sister.

I don't know if someone asked this question already but what kind of music do you think Ashley would listen to if she were in our time period? Hip-Hop? classical? It's kind of hard to gauge with her character. Maybe Rock music?
Ashley´s headphone music when driving into battle in the Mako.

To be honest, it's why I never really saw them working out in ME1 & 2 -- all of that would clash. But I guess ME3 proved me wrong. Ashley is now flagged as Shepard's true love.
Of course, they butt-heads all the time. It wouldn't be Shepley without that.

I honestly thought it would have been better if Shepard was the one knocked out on Mars and you played Palaven as the VS. Or they could have left that whole thing with him being severely injured during the Thessia Kai Leng confrontation from the original script. Just something that put Shep out of action for a few days in-verse.
Or maybe they wanted to torture Shepard physcologically this time, not physically.

I agree, Data. Ashley and Shepard are too much alike, more so than any other love interest? Both are strong, dependable, stubborn, blunt, both know all about combat loss and stick to their beliefs ect. She's the only one that has enough balls to shout at him and put him line, and keep him grounded in that twisted galaxy.

It's quit funny Ash felt more like Shepard's XO and "right hand" than anyone else in ME1. Not even the ship's offical XO felt like that. Presly just had few lines, but that's it. He never gave any input on the mission or did the intel stuff - something you would expect from your XO.
Miranda felt much more like Shepard's XO 'though she was there to watch Shepard. In fact, Miranda took Ashley's place in ME2. In ME3, I -really- missed the XO role on board. Ash had it in ME1, Miri in ME2, but who's the XO, the right hand of Shepard in ME3?
Vega? Nope. Although he's now doing Ashley's job as quarter master.
Liara? No. I'm surprised that her role wasn't more prominent in that field, before ME3 got released, I feared she would take that position.
Garrus? In a way "yes", but also "no". He's too much "bro" to work as XO.
And Ashley isn't either 'though she's the second highest ranking officer on board (given the fact Shepard is holding his rank longer than Ash) and I bet she was supposed to be the CO of the Normandy under Admiral Anderson who wanted the ship as flagship and strategic HQ.
So in my headcanon Ashley is the XO, 'though it's never shown in the game. Another important thought for the Phoenix Project.
Also: Shep & Ash are pretty much equals, as you and I pointed out, but they usually have different PoVs. That's needed for a good CO/XO pairing ... and it keeps the love alive.

I not really sure what Ashley would like for music, although she seems to like the modern dance music of the time. As for my Shepard, he would probably be a mix of classical rock and modern techno/dubstep/experimental.
I always felt that Ash was the XO in ME3 since she was the only other high ranking officer on the ship. Even though she and Shep are both the same rank and both Spectres she would still defer to Shepard in leadership.

Oh yeah, Miranda was the XO alright. If by that you mean in charge of all the Cerberus personnal, monitoring Shepard tightly, and sending direct reports to TIM at every turn, then sure. Miranda did not take Ashley's place in ME2 in any shape or form for me. Nobody did, but if somebody had to come close, then it would be Joker. He usually had an opinion after every mission, and he was someone I trusted.
The XO in ME3 has to be Alliance. It's an Alliance ship and crew. Ash should be the XO. She's the logical fit, and Anderson originally wanted it to be her role on the Normandy. It would have made the VS haters rage hard though. I still think BW should have done it. They shouldn't deprive the VS their role because of their popularity. It makes sense, go with it.
It's no surprise they forgot about an XO, or didn't choose one. Look at the terrible muck-up they made of the rank system in ME3. I suppose another excuse would be, that they kept Ash off the ship for half the game... Smh, so much wasted potential.
When the Normandy crashes, Ashley is in charge of the crew, no doubt. She'll get them home.

And I didn't. Ashley never acted like the ship's XO. She did in a way in ME1, 'though she wasn't even close to a rank allowing her to fill that role.
In ME3, however, she has that rank, but is never seen on the bridge / CIC, where the XO should hang around for most time. Also Ash lacks giving input like a XO should do.
In my headcanon she -is- in the CIC quite often and uses the observatory room only to clear her mind. She also resides in Shepard's cabin.
@MBE: BW could have done it by a dialogue where Shepard decides if he wants the VS back as XO or not. Just one dialogue hinting s/he is the XO. Which also remembers me to add it to my VS Romance DLC thread. ^^

My Duet Effect M!Shep couldn't care less about a person's rank, what he cares about is the ability to function as an individual, a group and the ability to produce results.
Hell, the crew could have been the hugest, most mismatched bunch of misfits ever assembled, he wouldn't care. So long as they could all work for a common goal and complete it (and kept out of his pants, since he's loyal as hell to Ash) then he was happy.
