You expect Ash to be the XO when she won't move out of her room? Or hell, even talk on the Normandy? You forget BW completely shafted her on the Normandy, and they'll shaft her again in any future romance DLC. She'll also get the short-stick once again with the Leviathan DLC.

Ashley: Are you trying to play matchmaker again?
Jane: Always.
Ashley: Are you ever going to stop?
Jane: I'll stop when John stops moping around his quarters. And three guesses why he's moping around his quarters.
Ashley: ... You're a master of subtly. Posted Image
Jane: I try.

Now that you mention it, Ashley is the only person on the Normandy that isn't WORKING. Everyone else is doing some kind of job, while Ash just sits in the lounge all day.

Tsk tsk...

As for this 'Leviathan' DLC, I'll just be happy if Ash has any dialogue at all(I'm hoping they did some recording for DLC and not just the EC). I hated how in the ME1/ME2 DLC you squadmates were mute.

I find the nightmares a pointless waste of time, I would love to be the VS for a mission. And every Ashley fan knows she got shafted in 2 and 3.

Problem is the base is no where near big or loud enough.

Wanna know what;s hilarious? I think Tron Legacy took some cues from Mass Effect. Clu's big battleship looks like a mass relay.

Yeah, I had to imagine that Ash was the XO since she just stayed in the observation deck all of the time.

As for DLC recording, that should already be done along with the rest of the main game. Many games that include DLC usually have them recorded long before work on the DLC's mechanics has even begun.

I hate Ashley's trousers more than Jane's zombie-ness.

Looks like something my Aunt would wear. Tight, and god awful *shivers*

Ashley: I am not pleased. I barely got more than five minutes of romance after being shafted for two frakking games...

Ashleys wants more of this, BW:

Kaidan's romance is so much better. More content, better quality, much more meaningful, and you actually get rewarded for being faithful 3+ times.
With Ash you get once - in the hospital. That's it. Posted Image

I may need your vote on my poll:
Poll: Does the VS feel like the Shepard's XO?

Thanks. It's linked to my VS Romance DLC thread you can found here:

As much as I would have liked them to be - No, Kaidan and Ashley didn't fill that role at all. Especially Ashley.

Ok wrt to VS lack of dialogue.

From the leaked Leviathan files, its apparent that the VS gets some more lines, with a few mods if they're romanced. I'm pretty sure Bioware is aware that fans disapprove of their Liara fetish and will make the appropriate effort.

Also at SDCC Its likely that Bioware will set up some sort of "live ask developer questions" line. Be sure to hurl your questions at them.

That being said Ashley could really use some more interaction. I would imagine a sort of comparing kills with Garrus competition? Any ideas?

@Survivor: I don't really "disapprove that Liara fetish" - I just want more stuff for the other romances with strong focus on Ashley and Kaidan.

Actually, if all those romances would feel truly fulfilling in ME3 AND if there were any friendship paths like you have with Garrus, I would do a playthrough for EVERY romance just to experience it. For now, I'm an Ashmancer only since it's the only romance that feels good to me. And Liara is simply not my type. ^^

Regarding Ashley´s new rank. I just don´t see, why she would accept it. Her whole personality is that of a front line soldier or scout. Specter status & all the political bullsh*t that comes with it, is not worth her time. (Maybe that´s why she´s getting drunk off her ass in the Normandy´s lounge).

And her personalty in ME3 just feels like she´s a shell of her former self. There are some good moments, but not enough compared to ME1, where she is constantly outspoken with strong opinions. What I wanted to see of Ashley in ME3, is some kind of dramatic & strong scene of her breaking down with PTSD or survivors guilt, because of her squad back on Edin Prime or that she made it out of Wimire and Kaidan didn´t. Make her show her vulnerable side, which also would make for some great character development...

But instead we got a stripped down version, who uses the same salon as Miranda.

^ funny thing: Ashley is also one of the first 12" Action Figures - with Garrus and Shepard. Which is pretty much a homage to the first cover as you can see.

In a way Ash got most promotional stuff, nearly on the same level as Shepard. But in ME3, she got the weakest development of all squadmates. Except maybe Tali - but that's only 'cause she returns too late.

That's certainly how I saw Ash and Garrus. A lively, sarcastic friendship built around competition.

Ash and Vega would have more of a brother and sister comraderie where they annoy each other on purpose and steal each other's kills.

I think Ash would have trouble trusting EDI since the Eva Core body beat Ash to a pulp, so they could try and build some bridges.

Liara and Ashley could probably gossip about Shepard, relieve some of the tension they had in ME1.

Tali is a little sister to Ashley, so I bet she'd come off as over-protective which Tali would fight off. "I'm an Admiral now!"

...that's how I've been imagining it and writing it, anyway.

Hey I figured this would be the best place to ask:

Are there any guides out there for getting the maximum amount of Ash dialogue on missions? I mean, who to bring with her on particular missions. Does she talk more with Liara on this mission or with James, that sort of thing? She's so quiet on the Normandy I need her on the field to talk.

Don't bring Garrus or Liara with Ash - they usually override her lines. Javik is fine and I also never had issues with EDI. Not sure about Tali or Vega 'though.

That's all I know. Garrus takes most lines if he's around and has a higher priority than anyone else (including Liara).

That helps, thanks.  But I'm also looking for particular squadmates I should take with Ash on missions in cases where they have specific banter together.

I really wish they made whoever you have the highest relationship with take priority.

I think we should have met more than Sarah, wish Shepard talked to her. Offered her comfort for her loss, Ashley would have been grateful for that, knowing Shepard cares about her little sister and her pain. Buts that just me.

I think that would make things awkward, considering that Ash and Shep haven't really figured out where they stand with each other until after that memorial scene happens....

and I should be gettnig to be. Have to get up in >6 hours.
