To be honest I laughed at that part. Now if Shep would have yelled at her, well I would not have been happy. <_<

Sorry, I misspoke. I wasn't implying Liara doesn't get trolled, because I know she does. I just meant that Ashley's character flaw ("racism") compared to Liara's (obsessiveness) is harder to spin in a positive light and easier to just dismiss Ash's entire character with a handwave.

I personally really like Liara, even though when I first played ME1 I wasn't terribly interested, mostly because I'd just finished playing SW: Knights of the Old Republic and one of Liara's lines to Shepard's was literally word for word something Bastila said. But the ol' smurf grew on me, same as all the other ME ladies (Tali, Miranda, Jack, Samara, Kasumi, etc). The only characters I genuinely don't care for are Jacob and Kaidan, and not to any degree to throw a hissy about it.

Wow, so I just did my first mission where all three of us (Ash and Garrus) had fully upgraded revenants...

Just WOW.

Also, I wish I could screen capture from my xbox. There was a sweet moment where Ash had the last Cannible pinned down with her revenant, woulda made a sweet top ash someday...

It's any squadmate (other than EDI). I think they all were spooked by the unexpected sound, and since it was pitch black and they couldn't exactly 'watch their step', it happened and the one responsible rightly apologised and clarified the source.

Though, as a general comment, I would ADORE more missions in the dark like that. Think that might be want we're getting with the Leviathan DLC?

Shepard: Kind of, though I doubt there'll be another race of intergalactic genocidical machines to screw over anytime soon. So, unfortunately, no one's winning the 'Saviour of the Galaxy thrice over' title any time soon.
Ashley: Dear god, if that happens again. I'm telling the galaxy to screw off. I ain't losing my new husband to that kind of crap again.
Shepard: My thoughts exactly, except - obviously - replacing the title appropriately.

Shepard: Hackett's the man I need to talk to. And no, I didn't resign, Ash ...
Ashley: Well, and why are you going to resign as the Normandy's CO in a month?

Shepard: I think it's time to pass the torch to you, Ash. You're a capable commander and I don't see why you shouldn't be the next CO of the Normandy. You did damn well. The crew trusts you, my friends are your friends.And someone needs to keep the galaxy on course, while I'm doing Hackett a favor or two.
Ashley: Skipper ... that's ... I don't know what to say. The Normandy won't be the same without you, and-
Shepard: Ash ... I'm going to train new N7 agents. That's what Hackett asked. And ... it was the wish of Anderson too. Before the Reapers attacked, he promised me to get me out of that mess.
Ashley: So it's no longer "Skipper" and "Commander Shepard"? John ... you ... is it really what you want?
Shepard: For a while, yes. And ... I always want to be your Skipper, Ash.
Ashley: *smirks* I know. I love you.

I like the idea of Ashley being the new CO of the Normandy. She'a a natural born leader and a more than capable soldier so it'd great to see her taking over from Shepard after the Reaper war. I like you're idea even more Data that Shepard actually hands over command to her rather than just her getting it cause Shepard is dead. Good for Ashley, she deserves it

@Danny: I think only Shepard should make Ashley to the new CO of the Normandy. It was his ship - it shouldn't get taken from him like they took the old Normandy from Anderson.
