Ashley certainly wouldn't give up her family name. The man she's with wouldn't force her or be upset about IMO. I'm sure Ashley will eventually get married I just can't picture it. Would things just carry on the same as what they were before or what?

Dunno if they change that much. Guess it's more or less only a "make-things-official" thing. After all, marriage loses its importance already, I can't see it's a "big deal" in the 22nd century anymore. It's a romantic gesture, but it's no longer an economic thing.

Also I believe Ash will keep her name and Shepard may keep his own as well. Besides that, I dunno.
Currently working at a future plot idea with Shepley kids - one named David (honoring Anderson) and one James (honoring Ashley's dad) plus two still unnamed girls.
Not sure if I go down that idea, but it's planned to happen some years after my current project.

It's the one when she knows and accepts that she made the wrong call. I never got around to getting that outcome yet, don't think I ever will. ;)

I heard of something called "the honeymoon stage" WTF does that mean? I mean, I think I have a rough idea. Do you think Ash and Shepard will experience this stage lol btw it's late and I have no clue what I'm going on about

They do already, even without marriage.
You would call it "sexy romantic timez".

Need to flee.

You heartless SOB you shot her!

C'mon, even on my pure renegade Dirty Harry, gun slingin', commie killin', terrorist slayin', cold hearted murderer Shepard, I couldn't shoot Ash. She was the only one who didn't eat a bullet in every opportunity.

To keep up with his repuation though, Shepard reasoned that he didn't kill Ash simply because the memorial wall was already full, no room for her name plaque...

The worst I've done was turn her down at Ilos. Even then she shows her sexual side when she mentions that she needs to...take care of some business.

'Also she's going to be the worst patient ever in my story. already cooking up somethings for her until she's released XD

I would like to know how Ashley plans to entertain herself if you turn her down... Speculations?

Yea i've never been able to turn down Ashley in whatever way. Romance scenes, yes every time!!! Virmire saved Ash every time, Horizon I went crawling to her even in my renegade run through (even the toughest SOBs have some ounce of decency or love in them), I almost begged her to come back after the coup, visited in hospital etc etc. I know most people here have done the same but I could never do any of the negative decisions towards her no matter what play through I'm doing...I'm weak

The only thing about turning down Ash down in ME1 was the dialogue.

"...I'm going to blow your mind..."

If you're asking in general what the phrase "honeymoon stage" means, it's just a slang term for a short period of time where everything is perfect and everyone is willing to overlook anything negative because they're so deliriously happy. The closest thing Shepard and Ashley have probably had to a honeymoon period would be before Ilos. In ME3, they spend too much time distrusting each other so they barely get any happy time. They'll just have to wait til after ME3 ^_^

I can't bear to be cruel to Ash either. She's too classy a lady. I'm trying to figure out a way for her and Shep to carry on a long distance relationship if you kick her off the Normandy after the Citadel so she can lead her own squad for Hackett.
@BadExample: Well, she'd probably entertain herself like any healthy woman would
...You know, clean guns. :pinched:

Even my Sheps that didn't romance her (only one of the others is male and my FSheps obviously couldn't romance her) still consider her their BFF.

I was playing with the concept of having a Post-ME3 Shepley with an adult twin daughters of the two, Hermia and Ophelia.

Shepard and Ashley, unfortunately, are absent. The twins are the paragon/renegade split. But look almost entirely like their mother, the only thing that really links them to Shepard is their blue eyes. Basically, they're SpecTRes @ early twenties with N training (washed out), and basically just trying to find their parents. Or at least some clue as what happened to them.

Haha yeah. "I'm going to blow your mind..."

"Mep."

Then straight after she says she's away back to her bunk to amuse herself... That's almost too hot to handle lol!

I'm sort of a monster. On playthroughs where DudeShep didn't romance Ash... I killed her on Virmire. :crying:

I couldn't have 'im be tempted.

Shepard: One more gang of slavers in jail, and the galaxy is a safer place.
Ashley: And the drug bust, don't forget the drug bust.
Shepard: I know, that too. But either way missions like these are a pleasure.
Ashley: Hehe. Busts like this are like a vacation for you, huh?
Shepard: After spending god knows how long saving the galaxy and even longer in physical therapy? Yeah, this is a damn vacation.
Ashley: That works for me. How long do you need to send off a report to Hackett.
Shepard: Bout an hour or so. Why?
Ashley: Got a kink in my back, could use some 'physical therapy'. *sly smile.*
Shepard: That sounds pretty horrible, I guess I'll help out in whatever way I can. Think I remember an exercise or two to help with that.
Ashley: That's good, Skipper. I'll see you up there later.
Shepard: Yep. *kisses her lightly*

*later*

Garrus: Hey Joker, where's Williams, we were meant to head off to the shooting range.
Joker: She's upstairs, with Shepard.
Garrus: Oh, right. That means we're not gonna settle the score after all.
Joker: What? You two wanted to see who was the better sharpshooter.
Garrus: Pretty much.
Joker: Oh, well - better luck next time.
Garrus: What are they doing up there anyway?
Joker: Dude - I do NOT wanna know.

*Shepard's cabin*

Ashley: *facedown on bed* Ow! ow! Owowowow!
Shepard: *massaging her shoulder blades.* Gez - you really weren't kidding. You're really tight across here. And that's a nice blue bruise.
Ashley: I think I landed wrong on that last mission.
Shepard: What did you learn?
Ashley: My boyfriend's a condescending jackass?
Shepard: *grins* That's my girl.

Garrus and Joker have their minds in the gutter. Unless of course, it leads to uhh... a happy ending.

Great Dialogue Aurora!!

Someone mentioned marriage and the topic of last names. I can definitely see Ashley doing a hyphen last name thing with Shepard (Williams-Shepard). Well it's like that in my head canon. :)

I let Ash die on Virmire once on a second playthrough, I mostly did choices that I hadn't made before to see what the different outcomes would be and later romanced Miranda. Never finished that one with ME3 since the Miranda romance line was too unsatisfying. I just deleted the save file after that. After that though, I always choose Ash. Same thing with DA:O, I can't help but romance Leliana. They're just my kind of women.

I've always romanced Ashley. The second time I played through ME1, I started thinking I'd try the Liara romance. But I ended up with Ash anyay. It always worked out like that.

Once, when I was pessimistic about the chances of Ash being on the squad in ME3, I started a Miranda romance in ME2. Never finished that playthrough. The romance didn't feel right. And, no offense to anyone who likes Miranda, but it just feels like there wasn't much substance to it. It goes into romance too quickly, then she doesn't have anything to say until the romance scene at the end of the game...

You monster!!! Lol I've played ME1 over 5 times and Kaidan never survives.
I just can't bring myself to kill Ash.

In ME2 I pursued a romance with Tali just to see what it would be like. . . It was. . . weird. I like Tali, but she reminds me of a teenager.

Hehe, I only killed off Ash the one time and regretted completely.

I romanced Tali on a third playthrough and she was certainly cute and was sickly sweet in that rainbows and kittens way, but it still felt like dating my best friend's sister. Just weird.

You put the words right in my mouth. That's exactly how I would describe Tali. Liara was like that in ME1 as well.
