If anything, I wish it was Liara. That or Shepard could disable Core by shooting her through the back.

Yeah, a sh!t load of Ashleys content got cut. Hope Leviathan DLC changes that.

Wow. This Ash and James thing again? Shepard and Chakwas shared a drink. Liara and Garrus shared a drink. It's nothing. And it's quite clear Ash (no matter what) isn't set on Vega after that scene. So don't be mean to Vega lol

Oh. My. God. Can you imagine the outrage from the Liara fans if she had been in the hospital for half the game? Posted Image

Still, I think any of the ME1 squaddies who didn't get a role in ME2 deserved to be available as squaddies for as much of the game as possible. Except for Wrex, who was doing more important things. And, to be honest, I think he should have been available as a temp squaddie, like Anderson on Earth. (I think Mordin should have been available for one mission as a temp, as well).

Hey, at least then they'll be able to feel the pain of the VS-mancers.

I took Mordin everywhere in ME2. I loved that Salarian bastard.

Liara fans have no room to ****. They got their own damn DLC and the most content in the next game.

This. As far as I'm concerned, we should not hear another peep from Liara fans regarding romance content, dialogue, or anything.
I feel the same way about Garrus. <_<

We shouldn't be hearing a peep from Kaidan fans either. Kaidan has much more content than Ashley. His goodbye and most of his scenes are twice as long. Honestly though, we're just going to have to deal because the chances of getting Ash to move around and talk to others in future DLC is slim indeed.

I suppose it's not just slim, it's nearly impossible.

Just one more reason this should have been kept in the developent for one more year.

Agreed aurora, it should have been in development for much longer, there are so many bugs. My Shepard fell through the floor.

They should have, but I still wonder if we would have gotten all of the Ash content we would have liked.

At this point, I honestly think that most of the current team doesn't like her. Or they see that such a large portion of the fan base doesn't like her, and just don't want to bother with her.

Why else take her away for half the game, then give the player the option of killing her, then give them the option of not taking her along if she does survive?

*sighs*

I miss the way LIs and squad mates were handled in ME1. Posted Image

That's about as hip as I dance *lol* Toe, step, clap, sway, repeat. I still wish you could have taken her dancing at Purgatory, if only to show that Ash is capable of leaving her damn room. No one likes a shut in.

Ash just seems depressed and isolated for much of ME3.

If that were part of her story, and there were an explanation for it, and maybe a way to solve it, that'd be fine. Instead it's because they didn't bother with dialouge for her or giving her the ability to leave the observation deck once she came aboard. And that's sad.

Definitely. I really wonder why:

- Shepard never asked her why she does spend most of her spare time in the observatory room, pondering about stuff
(A dialogue could have helped her to understand why the once talkative and social Ashley wants to stay alone most time)

- Ash never hinted she was moving in to Shepard's cabin but spends her time in the observatory room
(Should kick in after the date. Since you have virtually no other scene between date and romantic climax, that sexy timez happen out of the blue)

- Also other crewmembers don't mention Ash or why she's sitting alone in the observatory room. Seems as if no one cares ...

It made me feel like there was a wall between Ash and the rest of the crew. Like maybe she felt awkward because she wasn't there for the Collectors mission and because she pointed a gun at Shepard during the Council standoff, and maybe at least some of the crew looked down on her for it.

I doubt that was the dynamic Bioware was going for, but that's the uneasy feeling I got from the situation, especialy after Joker's wiseass comments when Ash came on board. I'd have loved the chance to snap at him, like I did after Horizon. Anything regarding Ash is off limits. Posted Image

Yeah, Joker has a tendency to be disrespectful towards Ashley.
Dunno why, maybe he simply dislikes her.

Is it just me or does Shepard try to bite off Ashley's tasty lower lip?

If Joker wants to dislike Ash, fine. But he doesn't have any right to criticize her, when he's the one who, you know - got me killed.

@DWH - If anything Ash related is off limits maybe thats why the crew avoids her... = P

Well, just a theory - maybe the male crewmembers avoid Ash to not be suspected flirting with her ... no one wants to mess up with the Captain's girlfriend ^^

Lol does the crew even know about Shepard and Ashley's relationship? It's a whole new crew after all. Well besides Garrus, Tali, Liara, and Chakwas.

I see a lot of people saying that Ashley has a lot of cut dialogue content. Does anyone else think maybe Bioware thought she had too much content and cut some of it? I know it's a stretch but it could be possible. . .

Maybe they thought she had an equal amount, based on her Mars dialouge, her hospital dialouge, and the coup attempt. I think one of the writers even said that she had the "same number of lines" as the other characters when you count those things, or something like that.

The problem is, if you just leave it at that stuff, her content is very unbalanced compared to the other characters, and it makes her look like a shut in once she's back on the Normandy. Worse, this does her character a serious injustice, as it allows for limited development and inhibits our ability to explore who she is. Despite Bioware saying that ME3 is a "great place" for new players to start, anyone who's fresh to the franchise would have no reason to like Ash, because most of what they get to see is her trust issues. Beyond that, you see a little bit of how close she is to her family, but nothing about her past, nothing about the other parts of who she is.

If you romance her, she barely exists after the coup attempt. If you don't romance her, she might as well not exist at all. This is especially unfair given the lack of content for Ash in ME2 - not even a DLC. She (and Kaidan) should have been given more screen time to make up for that.

Anyone wanna start a kick-starter campaign to get all the cut content(not just the Ash dialog) put back into the game?

As we all know, any substantial DLC content costs money, both for development time and payment for voice actors. Why not help Bioware by chipping in with a few hundred(or whatever you can donate) dollars?

@DWH- I noticed that in ME3, Liara was set up as the romance for new players who didn't bother to play the previous games. I also hate the fact that Ashley spends so much damn time in the observatory deck. For the life of me, I just want to know why. Why Bioware?

She may have had the same number of "lines" but the quality was lacking severely. Liara isn't my LI, but she shows up to my cabin like twice.. no it was three times. Ashley comes in once and that was for the sexy times. Give me a break Bioware.
