New Ash question.
On the suicide mission there were certain squadmates who were the right selections for certain positions (Miranda Garrus and JAcob for fire team leaders. Tali Legion and Kasumi for tech experts. Samara and Jack for biotic bubble holders Mordin for crew escort) If there was another suicide mission type run to the core of a reaper what role would ash likely fill on your squad?
Discuss.
think its rather obvious that ash would make a good squad leader if not a great one....alot of ppl tend to down play the fact ash is not your average no name soldier.in ME1 her rank may not have been that high and she may not have seen that much if any combat before Eden prime but her traning recored shows that her scores are really high/above your average alliance marine this also includes a section about her leadership skills where she recived lots of positive feedback from the squad on her "tough but fair" attitude.
now if miranda can lead a squad that dosnt even like her succesfully through hell,i know ash could do the same.
Yes and no.
Before being assigned to the Normandy, Ashley tours of duty were in places that were pretty much peaceful and there wasn't much opportunity for leading men aside from routine patrols. She may have the skills to be a good leader but, unlike Garrus, Jacob, Miranda or Shepard, she doesn't have the experience of leading her squad through life or death situation and making sure they both survive and get the job done.
Now, after the Normandy was destroyed, Ashley rose up in the ranks. The rise to operations chief was most likely due to her role in stopping Saren and Sovereign. Later promotions are all due to her skill but right now we have no idea if those acomplishments involved Ash successfully leading people into battle or being a solo act. The later is certainly a good prerequirement for becoming a Spectre, since they tend to mostly work alone (Shep excluded). The only time we do run into her in ME2 was on Horizon, and she was working there alone.
So, I'd need to take a look at Ashley's post Normandy SR1 service record to get an idea if she has a track record of successfully leading men into battle.
Right now it's a toss between having her fighting at my Shepard's side or leading her own squad, with me leaning more towards the former rather than later.
