Oh wow. Um. Something with a violin in it. I'm a sucker for a slow violin playing in the background.Fondi wrote...
Say they specialize the romances even further, and there's a unique love theme for each character; what would you want Ash's to sound like?

Just found this picture and I think it's arguably the cutest thing I've seen in a while. And given that I am clearly a rough, tough manly man with no time for cuteness, I think that says something:

I'm curious about what triggers Ashley's sister to comment on Shepard or Kaidan being cute when you engage her with dialogue. Is it random or scripted if certain actions are taken?

Pretty sure the only deciding factor is if your on the romance path with Ash then the sister will say Shepard is cute, if not then the sister will say it's Kaidan.

One of the things that is great about the Mass Effect relationships is that nothing is defined to death, there are just enough blanks left for the player to make them their own and that is why we have players coming together, who share the love for Ashley, but have different opinions about specific details and it's great that we can respect that.

Nope, it's the gender. Her sister will only acknowledge Male Shepard as being cute (Though I wish you were correct!0)

That is important to me too. Everyboy here has different ideas about Ashley and it would be a shame
if they distorted our view when they don't have to. I'm not saying that I don't want character progression, but some details of the character should be left to the player.
I don't think Ash is all that into kink, but if they would put kink in, my problem with it is that it will detract from the love these scenes should be about, in ME there was this feeling of genuine love between the characters, if you start showing or suggesting ''kinky'' stuff that would change the mood to me. It's better to leave that stuff to the imagination, it would keep more people happy.

I
have several malesheps. Some have been called cute, in other cases it
was Kaidan. One who ended up inadvertantly romancing Ash was called
cute. My uber **** Renegade was not, and my high and tight, very
military, "regulations" Shepard was not called cute either.

Hi Snowie. Good to see you again.
I hear what you're saying about Bioware in general. I agree somewhat.
As for why people love Tali, I can't really speak to that. I've never romanced her or anyone else but Ash really. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Everyone has a right to like whoever in Mass Effect so this thread really isn't a place to judge that.
I can tell you why I like Ashley though. Hehehe.

They're professionals. I know people give Mac Walters crap for the cerberus angle, but they foget he Wrote Wrex, Garrus, Mordin, and Aria. All of them are beloved Characters That people post pages and pages about. It's not like the ME team of writers was just plucked out of a high school english class. I have faith that Ashley will be better than she was in Mass Effect 1.Mr. Brainheart wrote...
@ADL; Yeah that's really one of the things that made Ash seem... more real than so many other game characters that aim to be real. If they can keep it like that in ME3, how they fill in the details won't really matter much too me. It's just that I'm not sure they (the other writers) can do that.

That's true, just because her original writer left doens't mean antoher writer can't wirter her better. Hell I hea rmost of you saying Badpie should write ashley, and she's not Chris Letoile I think that's his last name) She's told me in editting my story that she loves how I write Kasumi, and I've had other users on BSN write things for Kallen Shepard and they capture her just as good as I do.Mr. Brainheart wrote...

You're right, they are not bad writers at all, infact they all great writers, but the fact that Ashleys main writer (his name escapes me at the moment) left still worries me slightly. I suppose I'll have to wait with passing judgement () till I've actually seen some conversation between Shep and Ash. The main worry is though that with none of those other characters I felt like having an actual conversation as much as Ash. I guess I'm neither an optimist nor a pessimist.
True, but really the only thing we'll get to learn abotu Ashley is how she became a Spectre. we know about her family, her pre-Normandy career, andher family's blacklisting. the spectre thing can be done in one convo soI'm thinking that most of her andother people's comvo's (besides Vega's maybe since his backstory's gotta be revealed) will be based on what's happening in the game. more like the "what's your opinion on the last mission" convo's in ME1 with the LI's.Mr. Brainheart wrote...
ADL I think I might have said that about Badpie too..Lol. But I'm not all that worried about capturing her attitude. I'm more worried about the ''game'' apect of it: By which I mean that when you talk with Ash the special thing was (atleast to me) that you learned things about Ash AND Shep. Perhaps I do worry too much though..=p
