 I was really looking forward to having Miranda and Ashley as my main team. Thinking of all the possible banter between the two makes me sad that it didn't happen. It would have been nice if at least two ME2 exclusive squadmates were permanent for ME3.

Well, that kinda came out of nowhere. Guess you were the second dude in that stuff. Guess what? For us guys, two girls are better.

You do it wrong.
First you need to show Shepard new store, which he haven't got discount. He'll go record and you have one minute to action. You need run for flowers and ring, chocolate and many other things and when you have last 3 seconds you have to ask Ashley for her hand in marriage.

I think it was important to have a decision like that.

My only problem is that it made Ash and Kaidan interchangable after ME1. They used to be entirely different people. After ME1, they have the same story, even if elements of their personality are different.

You should have had your choice of three or four people you could leave behind on Virmire. That way, two characters wouldn't have become interchangable in terms of story - they'd have to develop seperate stories for all of them.

Yet you never have that kind of stright save this person or this person decision again, yes your decisions can get people killed (suicide mission is a great example of that) but Virmire was an abomination after you delt with Wrex and began the attack on the base.

Just think about it:

Of Ash and Kaidan who do you think is more suited to a frontal assault on a fortified position, the biotic/tech in light armour who uses a pistol or the combat specilist in heavy armour with a prefrence for assult and sniper rifles.

It is in you best intrest to help the salarian assault on your way in so they will be at the tower as well.

After you take out the AA guns you decide to leave one person guarding the bomb that is the whole point of the mission when you have atleast one (two if Wrex is still alive) squad member(s) who could stay aswell to protect it.

Then when the choice does come up it portrays it as being equal when its not it is save one or save many (the one with the bomb or the one on the tower and the salarians) and to top that off in Kaidans case he says he doesn't think he can hold out long enough for you to get back hence why he arms the bomb so if you do go back to save him you are basicly saying that he is unable of making an accurate tactical assesment (not sure what Ash says if she is with the bomb as I always end up sending here to the tower).

Sorry with Vimire it is just so forced that it look like it was designed to see who players liked more as a character than as a real choice, and as such I have to ask how many people who prefered Kaidan over Ash ended up leaving him to die and saved Ash because of that on their first play through.

Having said all that its a good thing I like Ash slightly more than Kadian as she always lives through Vimire.
