It surprises me how many people forget to factor the salarians in to that decision.

Yes, as long as you help them during the main mission, they survive no matter who you decide to go after. But it's not like Shepard has any way of knowing that in game...

Edwin Shepard hated leaving Kaidan, and the fact that Kaidan was higher ranking than Ash did cross his mind. But Ash was with an entire squad of elite STG operatives...

How does that even work, if you go back and save the bomb person they should still be trapped by Geth at the tower and thefore be killed aswell.

My assumption is that Ash sacrafices her life to get them out. Maybe by giving them cover or something.

Of course, if you don't help the salarians during the main mission, there aren't many left by then, and the ones that are left are too injured to get out, even with Ash's help.

As you can see I have not bee around here for quiet some time, but I think my BSN fourm days are over. I have moved on to the DayZ fourms and its eating up my time. I will still continue my fanfics, and I will always love ash and my fellow ash fans. I may have a farewell ash dialogue up here as a tribute to the great ash thread. Will still play sume me3 mp with anyone. But this is the last you all will prob see me in here.

IF ash ever gets some kind of dlc i might popup in here, intel then farewell and have fun with the thread.

and have an ash everbody (because I know you all want one)

@dahellraider: I just wanted to say that I loved your pancake war dialogues. They really picked up my morale when I read them, following the ME3 ending. Have a good one!

Things are still slow on here. And people are leaving. I hate that.

Meh its bound to happen. People naturally lose interest over time and when there isn't THAT much content, it dwindles even more.

I haven't even touched the singleplayer in weeks and even then I was only doing so off of a "high" from the EC so to speak.

I've been active on a political board lately when I'm at work (a lot of fun actually lol) and I only pretty much check out this thread and the multiplayer forum just to see whats what and all. With my ship date now official, I guess I've started to kind of drop some things, you know?

There's just nothing to talk about anymore.

Agreed Aurora and BP, everyone is moving on. Most of her content has been dwindled down so it makes it even harder to talk about her for an extended period of time compared to other squad mates. Then we got a boost in the extended cut but we've already talked about that. All us fans can hope for is that ashley gets more content in the future. I be sticking around but I won't always post.

I still come on every evening. Just not as much to read.

I wish I still had ideas for Ash dialouge, but it seems I was better at that when I wasn't working. I guess being employed must use up too much of my creativity.

Or, maybe it was because I was just in shock over the endings, and needed the dialouges to help build a head canon I could use to recover.

Heh. I guess that ME3 killed a lot of fandoms. And there's nothing to say about Ashley's development between ME2-ME3.
The endings sucked. The EC makes it bareable. I hope Ash gets an exclusive DLC. For christ's sake liara got one!

Hate to blow my own trumpht, but ALOT of what I've written here SHOULD have been included in ME3. IT should have been pushed back to early 2013.

Weeks (or whatever his name is) did a twitter post the other day, hinting that future DLC might feature more of the ME2 squadmates.

I think we're pretty much screwed as far as Ash is concerned. To Bioware, her story is over.

I will admit that certain ME2 characters do deserve extra content more than Ash. In fact, if I had to choose, I'd rather Miranda get expanded from her 5 total appearances first.

Ultimately, a lot of Ashely's personality was on the cutting room floor, or left out, but for those of us who romanced her from day 1, we at least did a fulfilling end to that romance. I mean, back before Ilos she tells you that you have to come back to hear what she was going to say. I would say that particular thing got some awesome closure.

So yeah, I would always love moar Ash, and she should have extra lines in any DLC they want me to buy, but I can understand if there are other characters who get dlc treatment first.

Now if it's Liara...

Omfg please keep this thread alive:pinched:! Sorry, I just hate seeing Ash threads dying out. And I know, I know, there isn't much to talk about anymore.....we all are moving on:unsure:. Well...I can't wait for the new SP DLC because no matter the ending or game it'll be more mass effect, my Shepard, and Ash:). Kudos to the Ash die hard fans (as am I) who kept this thread alive for this long. And all I know is, I will never forget my mass effect experience and Ashley Williams

Start my word search, only to find catalyst in there. WTF? It's like mass effect follows me around. The other day, I was walking into a shopping centre and I swear I saw a car with Shepley on the back number plate which I found awesome.

I just hope Ashley at least gets some unique dialogue in the dlc if she is your girlfriend. I don't remember if Ashley had any dialogue flirting with Shepard on missions. So it would be nice if she had some in upcoming dlc.

@Baneforever, there was flirting dialogue but most of it got cut in the final game. As well as a lot of other dialogue.

The one thing I'm really hoping to see is Ashley using the N7 Typhoon in singleplayer. She is really good at suppressing fire while I get close with a shotgun.

Yeah I saw in a video that if you romance Tali you can get different squad reactions to them flirting with eachother on a mission. You can talk to liara about wanting blue babies and basically proposing to her or whatever. With Ash it just seemed like Shepard and her moved back aways in their love track. My Liam Shepard loved Ashley before Ilos, but it seemed like he was saying it for the first time. I hope that in the new DLC that there will be talk about marriage, babies, at LEAST some flirting. SOMETHING more with Ash. I'll even go down to just a kiss or some more dialogue lines. Please just give me more Ash.

I'd be okay with Ashley just mentioning God again. I loved that she was religious in the first game. Not just becuase I'm religious, but because it's such a unique character trait for a character in a sci-fi genre.

Ashley had potential, she had a lot of areas to explore in ME3 but they didn't. They rarely explored and skimmed over some areas. It's the way I see it. I hope the DLC's have Ashley content, it would be nice to see something other than Liara. Since she gets most content. I like Liara, she just drives me insane by how much content she has. And little everyone else has compared to her.

Exactly krukow, same here. It seems like they watered that trait of hers down in ME3. She gets a lot of hate because of that, but I think it gives her more character. Personally I think Ashley has the most story and character than anybody else. She is awesome. I just think people don't want to take the time to understand her. And for some she just might not be their 'type', and I can understand that. But hating on her because she is a religious freak and a racist cow (I've seen people say that) does not sit right with me at all. And you can see her transform, and learn from what she has been through all three games, into a matured beatuful strong willed loving woman. She comes to understand other races and stands for what she believes in. And loves Shepard even more.

You're 100% right.  Ash does have a great arc.  To see who she goes from, to who she becomes.  And the romance arc is the best too.  I don't want to slam other characters, everyone has their favorites, but Ash is the most real to me.  Tali and Liara just strike me as gamer fanservice characters, but Ashley is Shepard's equal.  She stands up to him.  She has opinions and values of her own.  She doesn't just follow Shep blindly, but makes decisions for herself based on what she knows.

I personally love Ash because she's such a strong, driven woman.  And while I don't love that so much of her personality was left on the cutting room floor, I LOVE that she retained this until the end.  She's the only squaddie LI in ME3 who feels like Shep's equal, not his anime tween worshiper.
I also love how the romance is resolved.  So much FEELZ!

And I can also understand why so many people like killing Ash.  Why deal with a real person when you can get rid of em and let Liara tell you how awesome you are, no matter what you do?

I'm also drunk.

Lol I agree completely XD. And I don't get the big deal with miranda, liara, and Tali. Ashley isn't even on the same level as they are. Actually, I think she is the most beautiful woman in all three games. I've thought that ever since ME1. Miranda's face doesn't even compare to hers in my opinion.

Whoa now, let's not go putting the women on a list of hottest to least hot. We all know there's much more than that to all of them. They're all well written characters with somewhat great arcs, since Miranda gets the short end of the stick in 3.
