Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

I like Ashley the most because of who she is. I can really see my Shepard trading poems and discussing philosophy with Ashley when they're both 90 and WRINKLY. Ashely is just an AWESOME human being. Her looks are a total bonus.
She's amazingly hot though, lest you misinterpret me. I just think her personality is the best as well.

It surprises me how many people forget to factor the salarians in to that decision.
Yes, as long as you help them during the main mission, they survive no matter who you decide to go after. But it's not like Shepard has any way of knowing that in game...
Edwin Shepard hated leaving Kaidan, and the fact that Kaidan was higher ranking than Ash did cross his mind. But Ash was with an entire squad of elite STG operatives...
How does that even work, if you go back and save the bomb person they should still be trapped by Geth at the tower and thefore be killed aswell.
My assumption is that Ash sacrafices her life to get them out. Maybe by giving them cover or something.
Of course, if you don't help the salarians during the main mission, there aren't many left by then, and the ones that are left are too injured to get out, even with Ash's help.
So Ash can end up sacraficing herself rather than trying to escape and yet people still accuse her of racism *faceplam*, and if I didn't dislike Vimire enough already.
As for more content, it would be nice but of all the characters that got screwed in that reguard I think as is going to be near the bottem of the list (which is odd as just adding in all the cut stuff would help massivly and its already written) if we do get any charater dlc its likely going to be for Mirainda as she is far more popular (well that and no one cares about anything from ME 1 anymore it appers).

God I've love an Ash/Miri squad. Not even for the chatter, though that could be awesome, but because Miri is the best ME2 squadmate and Ash is a freaking murder machine in ME3...
Third biggest complaint with ME 3: No Ash,Shep,Miri squad.

Just catched up: too bad dahellraider left us. Not for good, but pretty much. Also I miss Brainstorm, where the heck is he? There are some others I miss too, but overall, that guy felt like completing the bunch.
Too bad AshleyMadelineWilliams left too. She's not even on BSN anymore. Some guys are still around, but left the Ashleymancers, switching to Liara or Tali (I have some of them in my friendlist). I also lost some Kaidanmancers in my friendship, they moved on the DA2/3 ...
*sigh*
Okay. Something to raise the mood:
Two years after the war, Ashley got an invitation by Miranda to meet on the Citadel.
Ashley: Miss Lawson?
Miranda: Commander Williams.
Ashley: I got your message - and you need help, is that correct?
Miranda: Correct. I'd rather like to discuss this in private.
Ashley: This place is private enough.
Miranda: Fine. As you know I tried to contact Shepard, but it seems as if he's no longer around. As our ambassador I had hoped to find him here on the Citadel.
Ashley: And you believe I know where he is?
Miranda: It's quite obvious you both have common history ... you were together. Shepard talked a lot about you when he had to work for us ... Cerberus. However, I'm not here to talk about yesterday.
Ashley: Cerberus ... is history.
Miranda: Unfortunately, it's not. Cerberus still exists, but it's much weaker since the illusive man died. But it still can do some damage. That's the reason why I am here. I need Shepard's help to deal with Cerberus - and ... can I trust you?
Ashley: Your record is clean for the last two years, you're a leading several rebuild projects. I ... can overlook your past.
Miranda: Thank you. Well ... Cerberus can't be ended. It's like the illusive man said: Cerberus is an idea. There always will be people trying to find a way to ensure mankind's supremacy in the galaxy, and Cerberus is that tool for those. Even if you destroy the very last base of Cerberus, it will come back with a new name, new people and new bases.
Ashley: I don't like where this goes, Miss Lawson.
Miranda: Call me Miranda.
Ashley: Okay, Miranda. Ashley for you now.
Miranda: As I said, Cerberus can't be ended. But it can be used. I try to take lead of that organization and ... well, bring it back home. It started as a secret ops organization of the Alliance and should come back. But for that, I need Shepard. He showed me the ill logic of the illusive man, and I want to ensure I don't get corrupted by that power.
Ashley: Miranda, that's a lot you're asking for. I fought Cerberus for five years now and you want to keep it alive, reform it and make them the "good guys"? Hard to believe.
Miranda: I didn't say it would be easy. And Shepard might be a great help here.
Ashley: Not sure if Shepard is going to support your plan, Miranda. It's just too much you ask for.
Miranda: Yes. I don't want to put you in that plan, just need you to keep your eyes open for signs of Shepard. That's all.
Ashley: Well, I'll do that, but I don't promise he'll help you.
Miranda: Thank you, that's good enough. However, one more thing: did you ever hear something about "dark energy"?
Ashley: No ... yes. Shepard mentioned it several times in his report about the Haestrom mission.
Miranda: That sun was aging rapidly until it went to supernova a few weeks ago. The entire system got destroyed. I found traces of dark energy in other stars too - including Sol. Ashley - I plan to use Cerberus' resources for research on that matter. The illusive man had set up an project researching dark energy ...
Ashley: ... and you need Cerberus to continue that research, right?
Miranda: Indeed.
Ashley: Why don't you grab the data and the heads behind that research and transfer it to the Alliance?
Miranda: That's plan B if I can't control Cerberus. But I rather have billions of credits by private funding than the meager budget of Alliance Research. They won't understand the urgency of this project. If my calculations are correct, several stars won't last much longer than fifty years - including Sol.
...

Ashley is much more appealing to me. She's got colour on her cheeks and her personality is... Warmer. Oh, yeah. And she likes to have fun. Can't be with someone who can't have fun, joke and act stupid once in a while.

Can't romance Liara over Ashley in ME1. That's just the way it's always went for me. The Ash romance makes sense for my Shepard. Gotta say, can't romance Tali after ME1 either. She's little sister material... just no.
Bioware really tried to push Liara on the player. Guess they succeeded.

Both is too mainstreamish *g*
I rather have something different here; I love music that's usually not broadcasted till you can't take it anymore.
Well, Tali was the one I'd loved to romance in ME1 - but when I found out she wasn't available, I tried Liara but never felt fully convinced. That game never made it beyond Virmire - basically that was the moment when I decided for Ash. I created a new Shepard from scratch and went after Ashley. She simply fits to him: both have a lot in common but are also entirely different, completing persons.
