I can totally see it being exactly like it was in House M.D. when he's in the bin. Ash drops him off at the center and tells him "its this or I'm out of here for good". When inside, Shepard gets a few fellow crazies on his side and attempts to appeal to a few certain doctors or staff to get some "extra" things or freedoms.

I can imagine they're married with two kids. Having both risen to Captain, Ash is now in charge of overseeing the restoration of human colonies, while Shepard is stationed overseeing their defence in his beloved Normandy. Both are semi-retired from Spectre work... which in Shepard's case, the Council is quietly sighing in relief about.

I imagine Ash had their first child in the year after end of the War.

When roughly do you think Ashley would retire? Would she give up her career for her kid, like her own mother did? I imagine one of them will have to. If they're going to have kids, they've got to be there for them. He or she would need that stability.

I think Ash would retire after they got their first kid. Be there for them. Don't know what Shepard is going to do though. Maybe he's going to do something else like fishing or something . I guess Shepard will take a break from everything and be with Ash and their kid or kids.

I could see Shepard as being the stay-home dad, potentially, if Ash wished to continue serving in the fleet. He's earned a rest after everything he's done.

Besides, after raising a teenage Krogan and helping EDI with her love-life, fatherhood's gonna be a doddle, particularly when his kids reach puberty... lot less thresher maws involved.
