Ashley: Really, Skipper? A book?
Shepard: Yeah? What's wrong with that?
Ashley: Going a bit old-fashioned, are we?
Shepard: Yeah. A little bit? Sometimes the oldies are the goodies and all that jazz.
Ashley: I'm just surprised you can get them. Books are ridiculous to come by nowadays.
Shepard: An old friend, Kasumi, gave it to me for my birthday before I went back to the Alliance. Not sure how she 'acquired' it, though.
Ashley: This 'Kasumi', any intentions there, Skipper?
Shepard: No need to be getting all jealous on me, Ash. She's a fun girl. Helped her rob a multibillionaire criminal, and got to play the part of a super suave spy. It was fun, and I really liked her, but she's decidedly not my type.
Ashley: 'Decidedly' - hmm?
Shepard: She's more like a sister than anything else. One that constantly tries to steal credit chits while I'm not looking. But a sister none the less.
Ashley: Yeah, that sounds like typical sisterly behaviour.
Shepard: Heh. I guess you'd know all about that, huh?
Ashley: Yeah... Now tell me about this super suave spy heist?
Shepard: Didn't I tell you that one?
Ashley: A heist, Skipper? I think I'd remember that one.
Shepard: I suppose you would. Maybe if you're a good girl, I'll take you for a heist for your next birthday. Though probably not the same place.
Ashley: Well, no - of course not. They'd know your face.
Shepard: No, it's not that. It's more like... ehh...
Ashley: You kinda blew it up?
Shepard: ... I kinda blew it up.
Ashley: Of course, you're John Shepard. I'd be surprised the planet would still be intact.
Shepard: That's just unnecessarily mean.
Ashley: Truth hurts, Skip.
Shepard: True enough.
Ashley: Now - spill it, man! Details.
Shepard: Why the hell not? Ok. Now. I met Ms Goto on the Citadel...
