You have to be a bit more netural/renegade to her in the first leg of that conversation me thinks. She makes a remark. I'm not entirely certain of it anymore. Haven't played 1 in ages.

Yeh, I think that's the renegade outcome. I usually always pick the paragon one during that scene.

"You make me feel good enough."
"Bunk here tonight, Ash. With me."
"Bolds words, Shepard. I like bold."

Shepard's response 1: "I'm not loooking to be a toy, Ash." = "I don't think of you as one. But this is going to be a give and take. Here, I'll show you what I mean."

Response 2: "At this point, I think I know fairly well what you like." = "You've only scratched the surface. Scratch a little... deeper." (=P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Response 3: "Shut up and get over here." = "Make me."

Eh. Close enough.

Shepard: Mind-blowingly crazy at the most. If I hadn't experienced everything first hand, I'd of thought that some jerk was taking me for a spin.

Shepard: I'm... fairly certain that's an understatement.
Ashley: Maybe, a bit. But I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
Shepard: Not a damned thing.

Shepard: Gah - Now you've gone and ruined tonight's dinner'n'show for yourself.

Went back to the horizon reunion scene. There is literally no way for Shepard not to come off without looking like an ass or a jerk...

Oh well Paragade Shepard will have to deal with a broken heart....now to seduce kelly so that she will feed my fish

Hate to defend Shepard's actions, but it could have been a subtle this. Although its unconfirmed and in my headcanon, EB!Shep didn't want TIM using Ash or his twin against him, so he did that to both of them when he encounters them on various points of his journey. My F!Shep doesn't want anything to do with him anyway until he's 'flying the right colours' again. And then their siblinghood almost immediately picks up where it left off.

Regarding Horizon, when Ashley asks why Shep didn't contact her, why can't you say you tried? I very specifically ask TIM for Ashley's whereabouts (even though I know the answer, I don'tmetagame that part) and he says her location is very classified and they don't know. I mean, I guess TIM could be lying about that (good chance he is given the stuff we learn in ME3 about who he recruited and why), but still. My Shep wanted to contact Ash, but couldn't.

Also, that Ashley fan clearly replaced the Ashley pic in Shepard's cabin, since the AC refit wasn't complete before the repaers invaded.

In some dark corner of his mind, Shepard is terrified that despite everything he might just be a clone of the "real" Shepard; a copy job, a duplicate of the real deal.

Perhaps he's terrified that he might contact Ash and find out that the real Shepard is alive and well and/or that he, himself is just a carbon copy with implanted memories.

Imagine this:

Shepard: Ash, its me. I came back for you...come one say something, anything!
Ashley: I know Shepard...and you are not him!

Well Shepard can ask Anderson, who mentions she's doing something classified but he can't divulge her location while Shepard is working with Cerberus...

So really, it's not like Shepard didn't try to contact her? Everyone simply kept stonewalling him when he tried!
