For starters, Ash's old look was amazing. I like the new one, but I liked the old one too...

But yeah, I'd love more content. At least we got a fully enjoyable romance (even though some of her personality must be headcanoned from ME1).

TOP ASH!

@krukow I thought the romance was pretty good despite the content issues, would love more content.

Yeah, all the squaddie romances were well-done, especially with the EC adding the evac goodbye scene and then the memorial wall scene (where the LI does or does not put up the nameplate).

ME2 mances, not so much...

The romance was well done, but there needed to be more of it to flesh it out better.

If you don't romance Ash, she's more or less a useless character storywise (gameplay wise, it would still rock to bring her along, since she rips through enemeis), at least after the coup. And since everything before that plays up her trust issues, it doesn't create a very fair picture of who she is over all.

My biggest hopes for the new DLC:

1. It'll add deleted/removed Ash content (highly unlikely)

2. It'll give us more time with one or more of the ME2 squaddies, preferably Miranda (maybe a little more likely, but probably still won't happen this time around).

3. It'll involve the "dying stars" subplot from ME2 and finally tie that up. (probably not, though? they seem to have forgotten about that one).

4. It'll feature Giana Parasini in a major role (doubtful, but if it ties up the dying stars plot, she could maybe be involved with that).

Hows this for a twist:
- Leviathan is a rogue reaper, that had rejected starbrat's philopshy.
- Instead has embraced a rather Nietcheian philosophy
- Had silently been experimenting with detonating stars in order to wipe the slate clean. Reckons if the galaxy is cleaned of all life, be it organic, synthetic and even Reaper, then there would be peace
- Haestrom was one of its experiments gone wrong and now it waits out the war.

Yeah, it's kind of disjointed. she's all warm and stuff in the hospital and during and after the coup and during the date and romance scene, but then there's just point and click dialogue and she never leaves her room. Kinda puts things on a detour for a while. There needs to be more in between.

I think you just blew my mind. And we could get the Harbringer battle we anticipated for in the first place, instead with.....LEVIATHAN!:o..........hopefully :?..........maybe:crying:

Unless they explain the dying stars in DLC, I think my head canon will be:

1. Use of mass effect tech results in a local build up of dark energy, which slowly destabalizes stars.

2. Reapers are aware of this, but don't care, because the cycle they already have in effect allows dark energy levels to drop every 50,000 years or so. This is more of a side effect of their cycle, not the main reason.

3. Miranda's father was a bigwig with Eldfell-Ashland Energy - he helped found it as a silent partner with Eldfell and Ashland.

4. Eldfell-Ashland and many of the asari consortiums knew about the dark matter build up, but kept silent about it because they were afraid of the impact it could have on their business.

5. One of the reasons Miranda's father was helping the Illusive Man research how to control the Reapers is because he thought by controlling them, they could be used to solve the dark matter problem. Not only would the Reapers allow humans to dominate the galaxy (which is what TIM wants) but Mr. Lawson and Eldfell-Ashland would control the dark matter solution, earning them a fortune.

You've actually thought this through very well.  I hadn't even bothered with dark energy in my head canon (since bioware didn't), but your quality job might make me rethink.

Seriously, quality stuff there.  Though you made Henry Lawson too not-evil.

Eh, too not evil? He wanted to control the Reapers so his firm could have exclusive control over the solution to the dark matter problem. Making him a fortune, and allowing them to presumably run their competitors out of the market and control the galacitc economy.

In my head canon, Henry Lawson cares about economic control, TIM cares about ensuring humanities political and military dominace. Their goals work together nicely, at least enough for Lawson to forget how TIM stabbed him in the back with Miranda.

I'm also tossing around the idea that maybe Eldfell and Ashland were trying to push Lawson out, though I haven't worked out why. In my current playthrough of ME3, I notice that Miranda says that her sister is "all her father has left," making me think that maybe his business prospects have been diminishing. Controlling the dark matter solution would allow him to effectively regain his lost position in Eldfell-Ashland, maybe even seize control from the two big names.

Well, Miri's my second favorite character, so Henry Lawson is TEH DEVIL!!~!
And I think the Orianna quote refers to what he wanted to accomplish ultimately. Originally he saw Miranda as the focul point of his dynasty, but she's gone, so now it falls to Orianna. I think his monetary assets are fine, he just doesn't value them since that comes and goes.

But really, your ideas were great, don't let me change em. Post as you think up more stuff, I find it fascinating!

Ashley: He's late.
F!Shep: I know.
Kaidan: He's your brother Kat, can't you do anything to get him here quicker?
Ashley: Knowing Shepard, he's probably getting lost in his work again. Or sleeping at his desk.
F!Shep: It figures. He's that kind of guy.
Kaidan: But you think he'd take the time out to sit down and talk.
Ashley: Should we order drinks while we wait?
F!Shep: Maybe, I don't know. But if he doesn't show up in the next five minutes, I'm giving him a royal ass-kicking.
Ashley: I call second.
Kaidan: Maybe you should have let slip that Ash was here?
Ashley: He doesn't know? Why didn't you tell him?
F!Shep: *shrugs* I wanted him to have a pleasant surprise for once. That alright?
Ashley: No, its fine. I get it. Kind of nervous. We haven't really spoken since -
Kaidan: He's still the same guy, Ash. A bit impatient maybe, but same ideals, morals.
Ashley: For some reason that makes me feel all the worse.
F!Shep: You'll be fine. Now let's get some booze while we're waiting.
Kaidan: I'm in.
Ashley: Oh hell yes.

After seeing the gameplay for leviathan dlc I really can not wait to bring Ashley with me. The part I saw could definitely use her weapon skills.

Because of what you guys are saying, that Ashley is boss on the battlefield, I'm going to try out insanity or the level below for this DLC. I wanna see how good she is. And I know I'm a wuss not playing a hard difficulty but the easiest is just really fun :P And I always bring her with me, but haven't seen her full potential in battle yet.

Give her a revenant with extended barrel and scope, and black widow I with the same upgrades, and watch out

she's F*CKING AWESOME.

edit: if you're just trying to have fun, don't do insanity.  Do the next lower level.  Insanity is just a trial, even in ME3.

Awesome! Thanks, I can't wait to see how good she kicks Reaper a**. And yeah I've heard insanity is almost boring because you have to sink so many bullets into them.

To see her full potential give her the black widow and spec her for sniper damage. Also have marksman at 5 or 6 and use it constantly.

I'm sure the DLC will be will but I'm even more sure that will have nothing to do with Ash or give us anything new with her which disappoints me; but we will probably be getting more smurf content.

I noticed that in my replay of an infiltrator FemShep. Despite trying to make her use assault rifles to lay down supressing fire, she kept switching up to a Sniper Rifle. Ash, I'm flattered, but stop copying FemShep! She needs you to keep those guys off her while she line up the shots!

Ash is truly devestating on the battlefield though, it's why I keep her and Tali with my Sentinel MaleShep at all times.

But what is the secret of Tali's and Kaidan's thread? I just wondering how are they doing it...

I haven't gone over to either one, but from what I've heard, Tali's is running like a chatroom. I guess they talk about whatever, whether it's related to Tali or not and they haven't been locked.

eh, I give the talimancers a pass.  They're in mourning.  They got photoshop and we got
