Yeah, I think they just wanted to make sure you have two opposing views. Though it kinda bugs me that they did it that way.

Can't see Ash arguing in favor of saving the rachni queen, especially since she calls you out on it back on the ship.

This.  Sadly bad characterization for a game that got everything so right (ME1)

In all off my ME playthroughs she wanted to let the council die (respectively) She also says to let the Rachni die but I forget what she says about them in ME3 :P Also I swayed her into the mindset that we needed to use all the help we could get even if they are aliens. Then she says she never really thought about it all big picture and stuff. And also, I always did paragon with her.

I don't know for certain, but it always seemed like Ash (who I took everywhere) would always take the opposite stance of whoever I brought with me. If I brought Wrex, she suggested saving the Rachni queen. If I bring Liara, she suggests killing it. Anyone else notice that?

That's exactly what happened in my play through.  Liara wanted my Shepard to save the Rachni Queen while Ashley wanted me to kill it.   I did both their suggestions in different play throughs.

Ya, can you imagine taking Ash and Wrex to Noveria?

Ash: I say we kill it.
Wrex: Uh...krogan.  What do you think?

I can understand the need for variety.  Don't love it, but I understand it.

That would be AWESOME.  I would replay ME1 right now if that conversation was possible.

Also, just did the memorial scene.  Have I mentioned how annoying it is that THE ROMANCE ISN'T ALREADY LOCKED IN!?

@krukow your romance wasn't locked in with Ashley at the memorial scene??? Oh wait, you mean the one with her sister right?.....sry im stupid sometimes. Wow I find that sad. Importing from ME, not cheating, telling her he needs her over again, visiting like three times in the hospital, AND going to the memorial....and it's still not locked in? What sorcery is this BiowarEA?! That's what I did in mine, and yes...IT IS SO ANNOYING! Although I do like how Shepard picked up her hands. Just wish she wouldn't have pulled away :/

Yeah, that's kinda lame.  There's no reason for that reaction at that point if you've imported/stayed faithful/paragoned the whole way.  Oh well...

Also, I grinded my way through the early mission as fast as possible to get Ash back and I sorta skipped the Kasumi mission.  Now she's gone...  OopsImage IPB

Eh, I understand why Ash pulls away after Shep picks up her hands during that scene. Sarah's grieving over her lost love.. wouldn't be very thoughtful of Ash to be getting it on with HER lover right behind her.

You can pretty much see Ash say "Now's not the time.." in that sequence.

Am I the only person who wishes Sara would talk  I wish I could over here Sara and Ashley's conversation and feel the emotion, thats one quality that I like about mass effect that it brings out emotional feelings making the game feel more real and alive then ever, I just know theres always improvements to be made things to be added, and so little time when developing a game, anyways I just hope that bioware will further increase the singeplayer experience through dlc content .....................im *cool* B)

lol I barely remember doing the Kasumi mission. I think I forgot to do it on my 3rd playthrough :/ And yeah I understand your point now BP. Although it would have been nice if she just gave Shepard this look saying, "later Skipper, not now". Just a look, not a kind of akward turn away from him. But that's just me and my hopeless-romantic mind going amuck.

Oh lol.. Not a big Simpsons fan, sorry.

But yeah that was my first initial reaction to that scene when playing. One of the more.. 'realistic' scenes in that you don't have to be tearing her clothes off in order to see that they care about each other and more. Way better than any "emotional support" scenes other characters had I thought because it really wasn't about Ash, it was about just being there.

You know what they say; It's the thought that counts.

No worries, I've broken into the red wine, so my references will get more and more obscure.  And yeah, I see your point, but people usually like being hugged or some sort of comfort in times of sadness, so really I could see it going either way.
Though I think it would be an interesting twist for the romance if they started tearing each other's clothes off right there...Image IPB

Lol I just wished that Sara would, oh I don't know, ACTUALLY LOOK REMOTELY LIKE ASHLEY!! What the heck was that about? I literally said out loud "that's her sister?"

@Krukow - That would have been hilarious if they started tearing each other's clothes off then and there all while bumping into Sara.

@sporeaddict Liara's romance scene is just short of a cinemax porn scene. I'm not kidding.

@time lapse Sara's totally adopted, hadn't you heard?? J/K, but I did see some people suggest that due to their differences...

She kinda looked like a zombie lol. I know she was grieving but come on Sarah, show at least some signs of life! And to me, she looked NOTHING remotely like Ashley. It may not be a big deal to some people but I think they should've tried a little harder on her. I mean, Ashley talked about her sisters most of the time anyway.

Okay don't they look like eachother? I think that Gianna Parasini's face model should have at least been one of Ashleys sisters instead. And was Sarah ever described with red hair and white skin by Ashley? If not then maybe Gianna could have been what Sarah would looked like. I just always thought they looked like eachother...

EDIT: Sorry Ashley's picture is so much bigger :pinched:
