lol TL I could see that happening. And that little dialogue was awesome krukow. My Shepard would totally say and act like that with his best friend Garrus XD. Well in my canon, after Shepard lives and recovers, they both retire from the military and move to the same colony wherever their family and friends are. And I can imagine Ashley being totally fine with retiring since she you know, she is like the second human specter.....spectre?

My head canon. Post ME3, Ashley settles down and becomes more of a mother and wife than a soldier. Her and Shep are still with the Allinace, but they don't see much action anymore. You know I actually head canon them to be quite the famous couple (much to their disdain) within the Galaxy (kinda like David and Victoria Beckham or Brad Pitt and Angelinia Jolie).

They are like a celebrity couple. And they hate it. Lol.

I think they'd be okay with their celebrity for a while, just because they realize the galaxy needs it. They've both always shown a willingness to do what is needed, and if they need to be poster children to rally around, I could see them doing it gladly.

Plus, then Shep can still draw a paycheck to buy pretty things for Ashley

Ash would be very apprehensive, not so much of the mech - though that would be a big factor - but because EDI is an AI. But Shepard trusts EDI, so she does tolerate it. However, I can see her becoming quite attached if EDI ever inquires about faith and matters or spirituality.

Shame they didn't let EDI and Ash interact, I think it would have been a lot interesting in seeing what EDI thinks of religion and Ashley's spirituality and those two might connect.

But back on the Genophage.  I think her opinion depends on who is leading the Krogan.  If its Wrex, then I think Ashley will trust her completely since she does seem to understand that Wrex isn't like other Krogan and by meeting Bakara, she will approve of the two shaping the Krogan's future.  She would be a lot more conflicted if Wreav leads since its quite obvious that Wreav is just a thug and Ashley might be worried about him attacking Earth and his army killing her family.  Meeting Bakara might be the only thing that would prevent her from fully support not curing the Genophage.

Lol I couldn't help imagining...okay you know those gossip magazines that have pictures of like Tom Cruise or Miley Cirus coming out of stores and stuff with groceries or something? Well I can see that happening to Ashley and Shepard. "The latest on Gossip Extranet! Ashley And Shepard, the two lovy dovy human specters, smooching in the back of Kala Exports!" (have pic under text or news) that's all I can come up with but I can imagine that happening after they get married or after the war.

Hahaha oh yea Spore, that would definitely happen. And I could see Ash yelling at the Paparazzi a few times. And my always level-headed Shep would eventually lose his cool over the cameras especially when they are with their kids.

Hahahahaha. Would Ashley go all Brittany Spears on the papperazzi's car and attack it with an umbrella?

Lol yes! Shepard would go to those lengths, only for his children and of coarse Ashley. And I can see Ashley going all Brittany Spears on them! That would be so funny.
I can also imagine Ashley being all mad if she saw a picture, the paparazzi uploaded or published, of her coming out of a store with like no makeup in the morning. Magazines always get the worst pictures of people on purpose. At least the cheap newspaper magazines.
Then Shepard would say something sweet like,
S: " You're always beautiful Ash. I prefer you without makeup."
A: " Yeah right. You're just saying that."
S: " No, I mean it." *looks in her eyes*
A: " Oh fine!....Now shut up and kiss me."
*both smile* sorry pretty bad, but I can see it happening...

My post-ME3 headcanons.

Destroy:
Shepard's found, takes about 1.5 years for all the tech in him to be replaced/reactivated and physical theophy. For the next decade they rebuild the galaxy, have a kid or two along the way and keep doing their job until the next generation is ready to take over.

Synthesis:
Ashley is having problems coping with the loss of Shepard all over again, and everything else. Shepard's consciousness is still 'alive' but in pieces. ... uh... sh!t happens... Shepard is pieced back together is basically now a hologram/energy being before getting a new physical body.

Control:
Slightly altered from the EC, they find Shepard's body but his mind/consciousness is gone. So it's a vegtable. Sh!t happens, and someone new is trying to take control of the Reapers with a knock-off Crucible and someone 'stole' Shepard's body.
Ash+Normandy crew stop the criminal, Ash+Garrus find Cata!Shepard during the event who has assumed control of his organic body again.

Refuse:
Shepard is found by Normandy+crew, take Andersons tags and wore em while they got him a new set of armor and weapons. It all ends on Earth, Shepard and Ash having a last stand over a nuke (callback to Virmire which they both remark on in irony.). They're out of ammo, reapers are closing in. Both of them say their 'I'm sorry's, 'I love you's and joke about the future they should have had. Ash sets the nuke to go after 10 seconds and they embrace with one last 'I love you'.

Yeah - I have a lot of ideas for the ME3 end - but those are my main ones. Synthesis is more outlandish because no matter how much I do appreciate the idea, it's still ridiculous on many levels.

I actually completely agree with that sentiment just in general.

that's actually some pretty interesting headcanon.  I love the refuse headcanon (even though I refuse (heh) to go down that path), though I think in synthesis he's just dead.

@Aurora when I read the last part of refuse it kinda pierced my heart. I never want to imagine that happening to them both. That is so sad. The others were interesting, but I agree with krukow, in synthesis I think he's just dead. But it's your canon and that's cool.

Could have made Refuse like the last 'Lone wolf' Mission in Halo Reach. Just keep fighting for as long as possible. The LI is scripted to be last one to go. Ten-minute timer gives you an achievement. 15 gives you damage bonus, Every 30 seconds after gives you a rank 1 weapon for multiplayer. And so on and so on.

There was so much they could have done with the refuse ending.
