Kinda glad the EC ended that extra scene. It has more emotional impact than the farewell scene in London.

P-shaw.  Your Shepard maybe.  My Shepard shot the tube, walking into the explosion to show his utter awesomeness, then was so unmoved by all the exploding that he laid down to take a nap in the rubble, then he woke up later and was waiting for the Normandy.

Escaping Miranda is easy.  Just join the Normandy and help Shepard fight the reapers.  You'll never even see her
