Not if *I* never take Ashley with me. I could send her off to Hackett where she can do some good and grow as a soldier. Shepard tells Ashley she needs to lead and not *follow* him. Ashley needs to get out there and lead and not look to him to make her feel *good enough*. Miranda doesn't need to be told to be *independent* and lead. She does that already. Miranda does high risk jobs all by herself even when Shepard offered to help. That's why I like Miranda. She's a grown woman who can take care of herself. Miranda is open-minded enough to see the *bigger picture* when needed.
Lol that's what a shallow Shepard or person who hasn't played ME1, and hasn't conversed with Ashley would say. She says herself that she doesn't need a knight and shining armor to rescue her. She doesn't need a shoulder to cry on. She took care of all her three sisters while growing up. She can handle a gun and take care of herself just fine. If anything your Shepard is the weak one because he is sending off the second, and might I say beautiful, second human specter. So yeah obviously if you conversed with Ashley in ME1 you would know she can take care of herself. And if you did play ME1 and talked to her, then you obviously were not paying attention. So Shepard is the dumb one for throwing an asset like her off his team. Ashley doesn't ask him to give her that advice. He tells her what he thinks, and that doesn't mean it's true. Aslo, she lasted 3 years without him, 2 in which mourned the death of her lover, and at the same time she got promoted all the way from Gunnery Chief to Leuitenant Commander. Wouldn't you say that's *taking care of herself*? Wouldn't you say that's *leadership* spelled for you? Doesn't that sound *independent* to you? And out of all that time, you think she doesn't feel *good enough*? Wow
CAN I GET AN AMEN HERE, or was it not good.....
