By things I mean hurtful things...and NO. He is not worthy to be Garrus' friend. Garrus has much better stories anyway. And that goes for Ashley and Shepard too. Vega is a child stuck in a body that is too big for him to handle.

Ashley and Shepard have a date at Apollo's, discussing about ghosts of the past haunting them.
It's an alternate canon that implies Shepard and Miranda have a common history ...
Setting is after Thessia but before the mission at Sanctuary.

Ashley: So you made it, Shepard. *smiles*
Shepard: Hey Ash. Enjoying your shore leave?
Ashley: Now that you're here ... yes.
Shepard: *smirks* You look beautiful when you're smiling ...
Ashley: *blushes slighly* John ...
Shepard: I know. You wrote in that message we have to talk. About our past.
Ashley: Yes. *her smile vanishes* About your past with Miranda and ... mine.
Shepard: Okay ... I thought you couldn't move on?
Ashley: I wasn't honest about that part ... John, I was upset when I found out that you and Miranda came too close. I yelled at you for cheating on me but ... I wasn't honest.
Shepard: Ashley, I'm sorry for-
Ashley: No need to be sorry for anything. It's done-

Ashley: It doesn't matter anymore. Shepard, I do have my history too: just weeks after that last letter, and without any answer on your end, I started dating again. I believed I had lost you ... well, and I found someone. His name was Frank ... a civilian. He had a bar on Earth in Vancouver ... things happened one day. And ... we were together for more than a half year. Until the Reapers started their invasion.
Shepard: Did he make it out?
Ashley: No. The bar got destroyed in the first wave ... he died, along with his family ... *breaking voice*
Shepard: I'm sorry, Ash.
Ashley: John ... do you have any idea how I felt when ... when I saw you in blue colors again? I felt conflicted ... and was about to call him that we need to talk. I never had a chance to say goodbye to him ...
Shepard: Ash ...
Ashley: History. It's done. Sarah is not the only one who lost her lover to the Reapers, I lost mine too ... *closes eyes*
Shepard: Ash ... if you need time-
Ashley: No, I don't need any more time, John! I just don't want to lose the only one fate brought back to me finally. Skipper, you need to go through it, finish the war and find your way back to me.
Shepard: I will, Ashley. I always will.
Ashley: Liar ... *smiles sadly*

Sometimes it's the other way around. And if I check back the time before ME3 got released, it ALWAYS was like that: European daytime was slow, US daytime was fast

Most FemShep's are wet and willing, but Vega's too much of a player to settle down.

Given the situation now I'd rather not watch that movie.

1st: Ashley's treatment in ME3
2nd: the severe loss of fans supporting her
3rd: Blue alien babes have a higher chance to get laid (Avatar)

The first one caused the second point: out of all LIs in ME3, Ash has the fewest supporters I believe: she couldn't get much new fans but lost a lot of her old supporters, resulting in a significant drop of interest in her character. If the ME movie is slightly based on the trilogy survey results, Ash will die, unromanced.

So I better don't want to watch that movie.

Just don't get me wrong: without ME2 and ME3, Ash had the highest chance to become the movie's featured LI. But right after the trilogy? Nah. Lowest chance ever. If Miranda shows up, she has a far higher chance to become Shepard's LI than Ash.
