Haha! Or the Talimancers. I heard they can be rough :? But I haven't seen so I don't know. The meanest thing I've seen about Ashley was on YouTube...

So I'm watching one of my favorite movies ever (Hero, starring Jet Li), and I think a line in there just set my head canon.

One of the characters talks about how his love had told him someday after the fighting, they would go home to her land, where there would be no sword, just a man and a woman. I like that.

So yeah, Shep and Ash stick around for a while to help rebuild the galactic community, but once it's on it's feet again, they go somewhere where they're no longer soldiers, just a man and a woman.

and poetry

:)

You two have a very, VERY unpopular religious choice on BSN.

One I happen to subscribe to as well.

@Nihlus, :)

@krukow I remember that movie when it came out, but never did see it :(
In my canon, Shepard and Ashley help rebuild until the galaxy is ok on it's own without Shepard. He doesn't become an admiral or a councilor. He unlists from the military with Ashley. They get married and literally go off into the sunset (or above) on a ship to a distant colony for their honeymoon. After a month or two, they settle down on Earth and just....live. They get small jobs, not sure what, but something to occupy them with all their time. In the end, they would be happy...together. I have been over the endings for a while now, and that IS what happens after he breathes in that rubble :)

QFT.  The details are incidental.  That is the important stuff :)
I could even see them helping eden prime to rebuild as citizens...

And Hero makes me cry, you shoudl see it sometime :)

Yeah I think I will see it, thanks :)
I could totally see them at Eden Prime helping

And just a quick question before I'm off, ok so if I lock in Ashleys romance with the date and do Leviathan after it, do you think they might make it so it triggers different lines for her to say? Like maybe more romantic, teasy, or just plain more lines since she is the LI? I'm guessing not, but I just wanted to know what you guys think.

Good chance. I played Javik's mission the first time after locking in, and the lines were different than the second time (when I hadn't locked in). So yeah, I think/hope so!

Goodnight SA!

I'd adjust the lightning in that picture so it looks more romantic/erotic and less "cold" - which it currently does.

Ehm... At what software all that posing was made? No shadows, scene look unnatural.

CptData wrote...

In that case the photographer did a crappy job.
I mean, a girl starts to smile if she feels comfortable - and it's the photographer's job to make sure she DOES feel comfortable while the shooting.

That gives me the idea it's Shepard who took the picture ... ^^

Well, while I was serving in LE we had our share of been sent to guard some "vogue" (I don't know how those things named on my language and have no wish to, to be honest) events. You know, lots of models (not scale models, relax, DataPosted Image). photographers, that kind of stuff... So I had my share of discussions with those photographers, who, though reluctantly, admit, that in many cases it is photographer-dependant whether person on photo will look good or bad. Some showed me their photos in comparison - same model at same pose at same place really look different. I don't know how's that possible. After seeing that you really begin to wonder about Omnissiah...
Of course there are exceptions, like yours truly - I'm always ugly. Posted Image

^ Then Shephard did a crappy job? Maybe he just tied her to the bed so she couldnt move...^^

Hmm. Stun-gun? Shepard working on Pacifist achievement? Oh, wait...

Dragon_Claw wrote...

It kinda reminds me of the first time I marched 25km fully equppied & and the first 5 was with that f*cking packback with all my locker sh*t...

Don´t you just miss those times. Posted Image

****ing A!
We don't have lockers. But our commanders always could find something entertaining. How bout "We got wounded!" task? When you and two or four of your comrades grab gear of soldier appointed to be wounded and carry him as well. No stretcher, if you fast you could use zeltbahn as improvised. Through snowdrifts... In NBC suits... Ah, I was waxing goddamn nostalgic.Posted Image

CptData wrote...

I want those days back when soldiers hadn't to carry their own stuff but had horses, mules and followers carrying all their equipment ...

Aha. And left without all their stuff in time of need. I know our Supply Corps too well to trust them to provide me with anything in time, thank you very much.

Dragon_Claw wrote...

Well, this is a Danish backpack. Which means that it has the same crap as the German one... Plus a case of beer!

Well, now I understand that roadsign I once saw: "Beware of vikings"...
If you tell me you had ****ing Nutella in your rations, I'll tell you how wonderfully tasted those cold canned 1964 rations were!

CptData wrote...

They never had more than 30kg backpacks :P

Because Germans knows how to fight on foot. 25 kg is that load you can carry and maintain your fighting capabilities. Everything above that limit endanger your health, especially lower limbs on rough terrain, and exhaust you pretty much. It is possible to carry more, but, as we are not ants, we'll do that slower, longer and awfully cursing all the way.

OneWomanArmy wrote...

Ohhh dont remind me!!! I hated it, I were nearer to the ground than Ashley on that pic and I remember all the guys trying to secretly help me by holding my hand and lifting the backpack up a bit and such, it was a nightmare!!!Posted Image

You know, now I'm totally don't understand a thing. Where you served if you don't know what 1911 is? Not sure of IDF, those girls can kick anyone's ass, even while carrying FN MAG, 20 litres jerrycan and their interesting vest. Ah, those girls... If only there was better climate.

Well, of course maybe it's local specific that we study most types of weapons around here, mostly because it's either Germans moves to beat the **** out of Russians or Russians moves to beat the **** of Germans (with occassional French from time to time) and they all do that through our territory. Maybe it's entertaining for them, but ****, we live here! We don't have time for their petty hatreds, we have crops to grow, dammit, and their tanks spoil all the fields! Why they can't fight before we plow them? What a disrespectful bunch, bleh!

CptData wrote...

Nah.
It's just the "perfect perfect ending". Cheesy. But I like it.

Man! You don't even know what you reminded me! One of pre-release ME2 articles in magazine, where author, breathless with excitement, told readers how we could have Shepard killed if we do something wrong and there were screenshots of Normandy split in half... Obviously now it's intro, but! Just imagine, that, say, in Virmire, you, as commander, evacuate everyone and stays behind near nuke yourself (since, apparently, in THAT future there are none remote detonators and anti-withdrawal mechanisms (**** that future, I say)). So it's up to Kaidan and Ashley to beat the **** out of everyone. It's like that movie with Seagal, where he accidentally fall from plane and poor Kurt Russel has to do his job.

CptData wrote...

It looks like as if Ash and Kaidan have hooked up - and Shepard is Tali's boy Posted Image

He is dead-boy! That's his final blessing.

@Rudy:
Yeah, I guess that's the main reason why our soldiers don't carry a ton of stuff with them. 30 kilos are already enough and as long as your supply lines are intact, I doubt you need to store rations for two weeks in the backback of a soldier ;)
Usually supply lines -are- there.
The times when each army had another army of followers are long gone since we do have something that's called logistics today. They hadn't.
However, they were quite mobile for non-motorized armies.

And you're right about the photographer and the model. Plus the comfortable stuff - my girl once did some photos and her photographer was highly skilled. The main reason why ppl look weird on photos is the "not-photogenic" issue - it becomes a non-issue for a skilled photographer.

It's a sad Ash... pretty much sums up my feelings on ME2 and ME3 Ash.

Joker and FemShep need to be cropped out though.

eh, whoever... it's got that custom FemShep face look to it. lol

I just glanced at it and really didn't register what scene it was from. I haven't played this game (single player at least) in a good while.

It doesnt matter lol I haven't played it in a while either, I just recognize that ending scene always, although its usually Garrus instead of Ashley standing there...

Have this gun, BE ... here you go too, ExorioN ...

You know the deal with the duel:

- shake hands or bow down showing respect
- turn around and do 7 steps from the meeting point
- turn again so you can see your opponent
- shoot
- if it lives, shoot again. ^^
