She trusted Udina because he always wanted the good of humanity, even if he was willing to be a total politician. Even more than TIM, Udina was always fighting for humanity's place in the galaxy. No reason to think he'd be behind the coup.

Considering how they interact in ME1 and ME 3, I don't think she has any problem with Garrus and Wrex (beside the first 5 mins of ME 1). And we don't really see any of her interactions with others like Mordin or Thane (thank BW for that)
EDIT: I don't think that she trusted or distrusted Udina in ME 3. The same way I didn't arbitrarily trust him or distrust him. She was just doing her job.
Again, we don't really see how she interacts with others, so shaying that in ME 3 she distrusts everybody is just simplifying thigs

She doesn't want to kill Wrex. Do you know the differents between wanting to kill someone and killing someone to protect superior officer/close friend? Also, Shepard basically tells her to kill him if things get out of control. Again, blaming Ashley is an example of simplifying what really happened.

She doesn't trust them because they're different political affiliations that won't have the Alliances back if things go south.
Which they didn't.
She's not xenophobic, she has a proper understanding of intergalactic politics. She doesn't like cerberus either.

Yup from other planets. Other cultures. And when trouble comes, they'll gladly sacrifice humanity for their own good.
Do I need to diagram the bear/dog analogy again?
FYI: Humanity is the dog in the analogy, if you don't know that, you're doing it wrong.

Well, Ashely doesn't know them at that point (Liara may not even be on the ship when you have that convo, so I'm omitting her). They're simply avatars of their species.
Wrex (Krogan) won't help you fight the Reapers unless you cure the genophage.
Garrus (turians) won't help you unless you get them Krogan support first.
And Tali (Quarians) won't help you unless you win their war for them.
Their own kind comes first for them. Which is fine, but that's the point Ashley is making.
And Tali totally steals tech from the normandy, check the OP.

She's simply pointing out that ultimately, the aliens on board will choose their own species over their human allies.
And she's 2/3 right easily (Tali/Wrex). Remember, the Normandy was a new prototype, she had every reason in the world to want to keep the plans from getting out.
As for the mind meld, ummmm, yeah. She's protective of shepard and that could damage him, just like the beacon did.

Liara is the daughter of a traitor who now wants to poke around in her commanding officer's head. I can understand a big of antagonism.
Wrex is completely willing to let Earth burn until you cure the genophage. He has no problems with it. Ashley was right about him.
I'm not criticizing him, I know why he wanted that, but Ashley was right about him.

Wrex will not help you till he gets his cure.
Ash-1 you-0
Tali won't join up until you win her war.
Ash-2 you-0
And, using what I said earlier about Ashley not knowing Garrus, just seeing him as a turian
The turians will not help you until you get the Krogan help
Ash-3 you-0.5 (half a point because Garrus would have joined up)
The whole plot of ME3 is going around the galaxy solving everyone else's problems so they'll unite to save the galaxy. Everyone is content to let their neighbors burn until they solve their own problems. The exact thing Ash says will happen. The EXACT thing.
